Hey @TinselBee, @Rose68, @BettySwoll0cks

Here is the thread I promised us.

Somewhere for us to help eachother, pick one another up, cry, scream, laugh..

Some of us may be looking to try again, some may be putting things on hold. Whatever our plans, lets get through this together.

(I don't know whether conception was the right choice of topic, I can always have this moved to a more suitable topic if anyone would like me to)

I will look through our threads again and see if I can @mention anyone else who might like to join us

@Frazzle I’m pretty sure your headache is caused by no caffeine, I had exactly the same!

I can’t get going with changing my diet again, I’m really struggling with cutting out sugar, and I had steak the last 2 days in a row. Maybe it’s the wrong time of the year for this or maybe I’m beginning to accept it’s not going to happen, so why make the effort. 😞

Frazzlerock · 17/12/2018 12:09

@TinselBee Oh I deffo got preg symptoms at every cycle. Drove me nuts - The metal mouth was the worst. I had to get checked out as I couldn't work out why I got it in the last two weeks of every cycle.
But nothing could be found wrong. I know it happens when I get low in iron (regularly) but it is always in the TWW. So metal mouth as well as other things like dry mouth, which I also get in pregnancy, appear in every TWW. I swear my body hates me.

@Rose68 I hear you. It is so easy to feel like all hope has gone. Has your DH said anything more about TTC? Or is he just carrying on with not using protection and you just don't talk about it? It's such a horrid time not knowing whether they will pull the plug at any point Sad

If anyone wants to try a different app, OvaGraph is pretty good. It's linked to TCOYF (Taking Charge of Your Fertility - the Toni Weschler masterpiece!) This isn't my chart (I'm not well enough organised to chart all the bits of info) but this is what it can do. It works out your O date by temp, cycle length and CM (like most other apps I should think)

Rose68 · 17/12/2018 12:49

Yes the second one, just carrying on with out contraception and not talking about it. I keep having to remind him to take his conception vitamins which isn’t great cause I know he will crack at the slightest bit of pressure.

ratherbeshowjumping · 17/12/2018 13:45

Ah thank you so much for the kind words @Rose, I needed that.

Looking at all these charts, I may switch to temping - where can I get a thermometer and what is the best app to go with? @Frazzlerock, is Ovusense worth they money?

ratherbeshowjumping · 17/12/2018 13:51

@Frazzlerock, I feel exactly the same about the TWW symptoms. I have had the driest mouth, metallic taste, headaches for the past week. Last time I was pg I had bloating and constipation and really swollen boobs, which I don't have now, hence I know I'm not pg. I feel rubbish in myself though and genuinely feel like my body is playing horrible tricks on me...!

Frazzlerock · 17/12/2018 13:58

@BettySwoll0cks don't! I will download it and end up with thousands of them Grin

@Rose68 I know the feeling, I would love DP to start taking conception supplements but terrified it will be seen as 'pressure'. That's also why I am a bit nervous to admit to him I have Pre-Seed in my bedside drawer. I actually used it the other night but DP didn't seem in the mood so it was wasted and, actually, it turns out I wasn't ovulating anyway so that's 2 reasons not to use it! Lets hope that both of us fall pregnant again before either of them change their minds

@ratherbeshowjumping I would say definitely yes. But I do think that if you don't have PCOS then might be just as good to get cheap basal body thermometer and use free version of FF.
The reason I like Ovusense is because it measures your core temp and records temp overnight so there is no worrying about making sure it's taken at the same time every morning. You even have 2 hours after you take it out to sync it. It's a clever little thing. You also get a free consultation with one of their experts, though I didn't get to use mine as I conceived on the first cycle of using it - another reason I rave about it, given my long history of TTC

Maybe try the cheapy for a couple of cycles (you may not need to wait that long!). If still not preg, or temps all over the place, then give Ovusense a go. I found a discount code and ordered the pay as you go option. You pay for the device, and get first month free. Then £20 per month. Or you can pay for a year which works out a lot cheaper in the long run, but how negative would you have to be to think you'll need it for a year? Man, I hope not!

Hi guys it's KinCat here but I forgot my password and it was registered with an old email so I made a new account.

Had the ERPC today. It was over so quickly that if I hadn't been able to see a clock in the recovery room I'd have been so confused about what was going on. I'm going back for a scan on Friday to check nothing is left over.

Couple of questions if anyone can help. What was your bleeding like after erpc? Mine seems very watery and it also hurts when I pee, like the pee hole stings a bit and feels difficult to open. Did anyone else have this?

Sorry for everyone who is struggling with Christmas. It's a shit time of year to have this happen.

TinselBee · 17/12/2018 14:23

Kin glad it was speedy for you at last but sorry about the pain. Did you mention it to them at the hospital post surgery? Bleeding for me was watery but with large clots, certainly nothing like a period for me, also only last 2 days (then no bleeding then couple days of brown spotting mixed in with EWCM)

Kinsters · 17/12/2018 14:27

I didn't mention it as I waited to pee until I got home.

Interesting that you had watery bleeding too. I just don't understand what the blood is mixing with to make it watery!

TinselBee · 17/12/2018 14:39

Kin I think you are meant to take a pee before leaving arent you? I wasn't allowed to go before I had a pee! Might be worth ringing up and checking? I know post birth I had issues with peeing as I had a tear, might be worth getting checked out.

Frazzlerock · 17/12/2018 15:19

@Kinsters I'm glad all went well with the surgery. I also had watery bleeding.
But, like Tinsel, I had to wee before I left the hospital, so I'm surprised they let you go? I think you should call them and find out. did they leave their phone number with you? I was given a card with contact details on.

@Frazzlerock I don't have PCOS so may just try to buy a cheapie one from amazon then. We were really lucky last time, I knew my cycle so well, but now it feels completely out of sync, I'm getting all these weird and wonderful symptoms I've never had before and I don't know where I am.

@Kinsters - glad today went quickly for you. Unfortunately I have no idea re the pain. Hope it feels better soon - Tinsel sounds much better equipped to give advice than me on this one....

TinselBee · 17/12/2018 16:06

That is so lovely Frazzle and I shall remind myself that when I am low.

Frazzlerock · 17/12/2018 16:15

@Tinsel this is the article I first read about it:

Awww @frazzlerock that's so so lovely. The article made me cry.

TinselBee · 17/12/2018 17:02

I'll give that a read later with a glass of red in my usual bath when DH is working. Thanks Frazzle

So started spotting. So confused! It's red and pink. Usual I get that post ovulation but wtf I can't have ovulated yet with BFPs still starting at me. Urgh

Rose68 · 17/12/2018 18:07

@Kinsters, I also had watery bleeding & I had to do a wee before leaving. Strange you didn’t have to. No clots though. I’m expecting AF at the end of this week & I’m assuming it will have clots. I hope you are doing okay xxx

Rachyrach83 · 17/12/2018 18:52

@kinsters

My ERPC was 16 days ago

I had period like bleeding for 1 day
Watery bleeding for 2 days
Discharge watery stuff (sorry tmi) for 2 days
Then I started passing clots for a day
Then for 4-5 dats it was brown thick sludgy stuff - vile!!

Hope that helps.
I had bfp after 1 week
Feint bfp after 2 weeks.
(Day -1 hcg was 33,000, day 10 it was 194, awaiting today’s results)

I had some pain and was given 3 days of antibiotics on clotting day ‘just in case’ which stopped the pain.

Now waiting for the big O to start again.

Hope that info is of some use! Xx

Kinsters · 17/12/2018 23:16

Thanks all, so watery bleeding seems quite normal. I'm not in the UK which is maybe why they didn't make me pee before I left - different procedures. I'll see if it's any better today otherwise call the consultant. Just woken up and it feels a bit achey almost like a bruise Confused

Frazzle that is lovely info and I will think of it often.

I'm so behind on Christmas shopping. I was going to get it all finished at the weekend and then this happened. I'm signed off for the rest of the week but think I'll go in Wednesday and Thursday to tidy everything up and then request Friday off.

ProseccoBee · 18/12/2018 08:39

Morning everyone, thanks for the kind messages. I had an awful weekend, Saturday contraction like pains out of nowhere and then really heavy bleeding I definitely though I had passed something significant because whatever it was it was big and tissuey. I felt much better on Sunday and I thought I was over the worst but then awoke to extreme pain early hours of Monday, I have honestly felt nothing like it. This lasted for two hours and then there was no denying that it was the sac with baby inside so that was kind of traumatic. Since then though the pain has subsided significantly and although still bleeding everything feels manageable now. I'm just pleased its over and done with and hoping I get a negative pregnancy test in the next week so i don't have to go back to the EPU for the second lot of scans. I am still in shock at how little they prepared me for the whole process though, when i spoke to the doctor she just said it would break down and it would feel like a menstrual cramp. It was so not like that at all! However i do feel stronger for it now and i actually think its put everything into perspective Think me and hubby are going to wait a month or so before trying again and going to plan a little holiday in february half term either krakow or Prague to take some time and enjoy ourselves. When we do ttc I am going to try and enjoy everything_ the whole process, more rather than obsessing about the end result( she says easier said than done i know) just because I now realise even more so how precious it is and how lucky you are when it actually happens. Got my fingers crossed for us all! I need to finish my Christmas shopping also and contemplate having wine and camembert at all of the festivities which are fast approaching which although will be lovely think I will still feel guilty at the same time for consuming it. How is everyone else feeling today?

TinselBee · 18/12/2018 08:53

Frazzle I am crying at my desk reading that article...

studies have suggested that fetal microchimerism protects women against the disease

I should have realised that was the case though that fetal cells enter women's bodies as my mum became seriously ill when pregnant with DSis and after birth became paralysed and now left with rheumatoid arthritis. DRs said it was her body's response to DSis' cells not being compatible with DM's which has left her with immune system issues.

Kin I hear you with being behind for Xmas! Maybe they over stretched you a bit when trying to open you up and its messed with your urethra etc? Hope it dies down, the pain that is.

oh Prosecco I am so sorry you had to go through that, especially with no warning on what it would be like. So sorry they did not explain what a natural MC can be like. Booking a holiday sounds like a great idea, will give you another focus and something closer to look forward to.

I'm feeling okay today, DH and I had a random in the middle of the night DTD session (both woke up feeling frisky at same time!) and that was actually really nice. Made me feel like we were back at the start of our young and naive relationship.

Got into work today to a massive bottle of fizz and lovely Betty's Xmas hampers from my Employer for Xmas! Proper lovely food stuff which I will save for Xmas Eve I reckon! Delicious

Lost my bloody thermometer to no clue what temps were like this morning, really frustrating. Reckon DS must have hid it somewhere.

Kinsters · 18/12/2018 08:57

ProseccoBee that sounds unpleasant. I hope you're able to take the time to rest and recover.

I think miscarriages can be so different for everyone. When I had my pre erpc scan on Monday I could only see an empty sac with no baby whereas just three days before there was a definite baby shaped thing. It was weird. The doctor said it had been reabsorbed which I didn't realise could happen. They should have told you all the possibilities though - saying it's just like menstrual cramping when clearly it's not always like that is unfair.

Kinsters · 18/12/2018 09:00

TinselBee I think you're right that it maybe just got bruised and stretched a bit, it's feeling better already.

That's nice about the food hamper. Do they do that every year? My cat loooves to play with my thermometer. No idea why but if she hears me pick it up she always comes over to play. If it's not on my table i know she'll have knocked it under the bed!
