We’re almost at the limit on thread no.8 so I thought I’d start a new one before that one fills up

Sorry to anyone I’ve missed 😘

@cupcakesandglitter I'm just a bit jaded by it all. But I'm ok. How are you doing? X

stormtrooperjulian · 02/12/2018 14:30

@ValidUser so have you decided to carry on ttc til you get a new surgery date? Annoying that it’s been rescheduled. How do you feel about potentially not conceiving for a while?

DuchessofPemberley not stupid at all, I am hoping for the same. It's disappointing when you get something in your head and it doesn't happen.

I am 6DPO today and felt a bit sick, but difficult to say if that's a symptom of pregnancy or if it was the pain from threading that made me feel sick!

starkid · 02/12/2018 15:42

CD24 and 8dpo (well, post-postive OPK). My boobs feel full and achey, but likely just AF on its way in the next couple of days... apart from that no symptoms at the moment, but fingers crossed!

ValidUser · 02/12/2018 16:00

@stormtrooperjulian DH and I will keep trying with very low expectations! It's so frustrating and I really feel like I've failed.

On the bright side, I'm only 28. Hopefully it'll happen for us eventually.

yorkshiretealass · 02/12/2018 16:05

Lurker/first time poster here! Hi!

TTC for the first time, came off pill 31st Oct, period arrived 3rd November and followed app on when I'd be ovulating. Since then I've recognised A LOT of symptoms that google tells me I should be getting if pregnant - nausea nearly every day, cramping every day, metallic taste in mouth, sore boobs, constipation, tiredness... you name it I've probably had it in these past two weeks. Going by 28 day cycle my period should have arrived yesterday, and it hasn't yet. So I did a clear blue digital and a FRER test first thing today and both negative.

I've never felt like this ever before so I was convinced we'd got pregnant. Now I'm not so sure because of the negatives and whether it is simply my body just re-adjusting from being on the pill for 10 years. I'm not going to give up hope until my period arrives and I've bought some more tests to do this week until it does. I know my own body and I've never had period symptoms like this ever before. Who knows eh?

Still, so many amazing and reassuring comments from people on this forum gives me hope too!

stormtrooperjulian · 02/12/2018 16:44

@yorkshiretealass welcome! When I had my implant out I had every pregnancy symptom in the book for about a month, it was just my hormones settling. Fingers crossed yours are pregnancy symptoms though.

Welcome @yorkshiretealass!

@stormtrooperjulian what cycle are you on again?

starkid · 02/12/2018 17:10

@yorkshiretealass - I came off the pill in the spring and been ttc since september, and similarly everything seems just worse/more intense the week before af, than it was on the pill!
It must be having 'normal' periods again for me as I haven't been pregnant each time, but each week or so before af I've been crankier, more emotional, boobs more sore than normal, acne... was on the pill 9 years and think I've forgotten what a regular period for me is usually like haha! Annoying though, as each month being like it has given me hope...
It would be amazing if you got pregnant so quickly though Smile

MrsAW2018 · 02/12/2018 18:18

Evening ladies... hope you've all had a wonderful weekend. We've just had a chilled one and it's been divine but I'm dreading tomorrow already 😩 don't like being apart from my DH.

We decided to do the SMEP this month, I'm on CD13 and only started OPKs yesterday as I'm not expecting to ovulate until between Thursday and Monday next week (thanks, PCOS). This is my OPK from about 30 mins ago... do you ladies think it's positive or just nearly there?

DuchessofPemberley · 02/12/2018 18:27

Thanks everyone! Crazy thing is I’m having so many symptoms. Nausea, that full feeling other people are getting, food tastes different, my boobs are sore and I have changes in CM and digestion that I don’t think anyone wants me to share on the internet 😂

Plus I have flu like symptoms, but that might just be flu!

I. Hate. This. If I knew for definite I’d get pregnant at some point and have a baby I’d find it much easier to deal with. But it’s the not knowing that kills me.

Thank God for this thread though. It makes it so much easier having somewhere to vent.

stormtrooperjulian · 02/12/2018 18:35

@ValidUser this is cycle 5 for me. If you’re only 28 then you’ve got loads of time, even though it feels frustrating now it’ll happen eventually!

@MrsAW2018 I’d say that’s not quite there yet

@DuchessofPemberley I feel the same, if I knew for definite that it would happen then I could be a lot more relaxed about it. I hate not knowing if or when it will happen.

OP posts:
ValidUser · 02/12/2018 20:07

@stormtrooperjulian cycle 5 here too!

yorkshiretealass · 02/12/2018 21:03

Thanks @stormtrooperjulian and @starkid Smile

I think it very well could the be hormones. It has been so long since I've had a normal period I wouldn't even know what they were like! Hopefully I'll get it soon and I can properly start tracking from there. Already found lots of great advice on this forum too which is a great start.

cupcakesandglitter · 02/12/2018 22:11

@ValidUser I get that, i hate that you're feeling like this when you were so positive too 😩 I think being young though, you definitely have loads of time and at least you know what the issue is atm xx

DuchessofPemberley · 03/12/2018 06:24

Another morning another negative test. I guess at 13 DPO it’s probably time to accept this wasn’t the month for us.

Hope this is the start of a positive week for everyone 😀

DayDreamer1707 · 03/12/2018 08:52

@MrsAW2018 I would say that's nearly there x

Got a negative on my OPK yesterday so still not sure when I have actually Ovulated. Been having slight cramps for the past couple of days but last week I had spotting which I thought was an ovulation bleed and pains to just the right side. I'm not sure the others where actually positive as to me they seem to of faded and I read that a positive will never fade. What do you think? You can definitely see the positives from last week but I'm not so sure on the new ones now?

MrsAW2018 · 03/12/2018 09:32

@stormtrooperjulian that's kind of what I thought but I thought I'd get some line eyes looking for me too!

@DayDreamer1707 I thought it was nearly there but the ones I've taken after have been negative. This is my one from this morning 😩 so not sure what's going on 😢. I think you must have ovulated last week if you had the symptoms of ovulation. Do you normally get ovulation bleeding? X

DayDreamer1707 · 03/12/2018 09:37

@MrsAW2018 I would still think you are very close!! Make sure you are testing more than once a day FX. As you can see from mine mine where all really negative and then I just got a big positive. Then god knows whats happening now. Not sure as this is my first cycle ever tracking and 1st cycle since my MC. I'm just thinking my body is all over the place and it's so frustrating 😣

purplefig · 03/12/2018 10:29

Morning all! How's everyone's Mondays going?

@ValidUser time is on your side! I'm glad I've started fairly early on too (27) though sometimes feel old in other threads 😳

@yorkshiretealass it's seems a particularly cruel but common side effect of coming off of BC is an onslaught of pregnancy like symptoms. I had it all for a month, it was so confusing. Hope it'll all settle down soon.

9dpo (well, since positive opk and ovulation pains). Boobs are still killing, just checked clue and it's usually much more on and off in the lead up to AF. Still not holding my breath though!! Trying to hold off testing until Dec 11th, as that's when my period would be due. Feels like forever away!

DayDreamer1707 · 03/12/2018 10:46

@purplefig I think I'm the same as you, CD20 and 9DPO (possible depends on OPKs). I want to hold out for as long as I can testing as not technically sure when AF is due or if I ovulated last week or this week now. I could be on my old cycles of around 23-26 days or going off last month after my MC could be cycle day of 30. If nothing by the 17th I will test xx

purplefig · 03/12/2018 10:52

@DayDreamer1707 oh that's cool - let's stay strong together!! 💪🏼

DuchessofPemberley · 03/12/2018 12:18

I’m thinking of temping for next cycle, do you guys have any recommendations? Or will any reliable thermometer do?

KatBeCool · 03/12/2018 12:47

@DuchessofPemberley any thermometer that is showing 1/100th precision will do. Ironically, my candy thermometer is that precise too 😂

DuchessofPemberley · 03/12/2018 12:52

@KatBeCool I love it!

I’ll have a look at Boots online, I’m guessing that most of the digital thermometers on the market would be correct to that degree...?
