We’re almost at the limit on thread no.8 so I thought I’d start a new one before that one fills up

@MrsLBear my periods due Fri or Sat so will see what happens!

Had slimming world tonight and lost another 2.5lbs, so lost 7.5lbs in 3 weeks now and got my Half Stone Award. Actually chuffed with that as had works Do last week and had a cheeky Chinese on the weekend. Woo!

Still feeling bloated and gassy, fairly standard for me in tww just seems to be worse than last. Funny how our reproductive hormones affect our digestive system!

MrsLBear · 19/12/2018 21:26

@MrsEG oh dw I am defo not testing that early but the fact I even had to tell myself that I'm mental (had a quiet word with myself). And too true. If we tallied up how much all of us just on this thread has spent on tests 🤪🤪 I'm determined also not to symptom spot cos I think it means nothing as all the symptoms are so similar.
They are so good I couldn't believe it. I know right, I already can't wait to have it tomorrow with my tea. I think minced pies should be available all the time (if they are I look like an idiot now haha).

That's amazing
@EltzBee!!! Keep going!! Once you start losing weight it become slightly addictive and makes you feel so good!! Are you just waiting for af to come and if (hopefully) not then do a FRER?

EltzBee · 19/12/2018 22:39

@MrsLBear thanks I'm quite proud of myself, was genuinely really shocked tonight to get that loss.

Yeah just waiting for AF now, I've got some cheapo test strips if I get the urge to poas GrinBlush

Sorry for tmi but DH and I DTD this evening and when I popped to the loo after there was a bit of pink on the tissue. Was like highlighter pink not like AF blood. Things felt quite tight down there so assuming it's just from that but was weird. Was nice to DTD for fun rather than BD! Lol

DayDreamer1707 · 20/12/2018 06:45

@MrsLBear yes was only once when I wiped then had nothing, so don't know what that's about x

@MrsEG I'm certainly feeling better tOday as I finish work at 12 for Christmas!!!

Bring it on those BFP on Christmas Day or Christmas baby making x

MrsH497 · 20/12/2018 07:02

Morning ladies. Hope everyone is ok. Well according to apps AF is due anytime between today and Saturday. No sign yet, BFN test this morning.
Been really bloated and gassy (so sexy!) last week or so.
Guess I'll just have to wait. Have a good day Smile

MrsEG · 20/12/2018 07:28

@EltzBee FX for you the next few days!! Really hope AF doesn’t show up!

@DayDreamer1707 I’m jealous!! I’m in til the bitter end tomorrow; cannot wait!

@MrsLBear I need to get to Aldi today! They always have such good Xmas food! I am totally with you about not symptom spotting, I’ve done it in the past and just been disappointed. Also the month I did get pg before my MC, I felt absolutely nothing anyway!!

@MrsH497 FX she doesn’t show up and you get some better news on Sunday :)

@EltzBee Congrats on the weight loss!! Half a stone in the 3 weeks before Christmas is bloody brilliant! Well done you :) Are you planning to test this weekend if AF doesn’t show?

MrsH497 · 20/12/2018 07:36

So jealous of everyone finishing work for Xmas!! Working up until Xmas morning (emergency services!) luckily managed to get Xmas day off as we were meant to be working!

@EltzBee huge congratulations on your weight loss amazing! You must be so chuffed! X

FlapJackered · 20/12/2018 08:01

Success! Managed to Dtd last night and now temp has gone up this morning so can relax and enjoy a festive (and boozy) tww 😕!
Finishing work today too! Woohoo!🎉

Welcome @KittieKath my DH was the same convinced that it would happen to us straight away, I was smug to start with that I was right! I am taking coq10 and inositol too, but for long cycles and inositol worked a treat at shortening them. Next supplement I am going to try are soy Isoflavones next cycle.
That is great that your DH is getting so involved!

@Bec18x I feel your pain with the long cycle I used to have long cycles and it is so hard not knowing where you are. Hopefully it will all become clear soon.

@MrsR16 That's dangerous to have them in the house! I have terrible will power and have to get DH to hide them! 😂

@MrsLBear I am definitely going to try them, I much prefer a higher pastry to mincemeat ratio!

@EltzBee that is seriously impressive, you must be so proud of yourself and to achieve that at this time of year makes you a total hero 💪🏻

MrsR16 · 20/12/2018 08:26

@FlapJackered I know... it won't be too bad tomorrow, as I have to get up early to take my dog for walkies and I always have a wee while I'm half asleep and then forget all about POAS! Saturday through Tuesday will be more difficult though 😕

Can I put my hand up and admit I am not a fan of mince pies? 😂

MrsEG · 20/12/2018 09:01

@MrsR16 Blasphemous!! How can you say such a thing about mince pies!!

@FlapJackered Yay so glad you managed to DTD!! FX for you now!

@MrsH497 Working Xmas morning! You poor thing - at least you have the rest of the day off for feasting!!

KittieKath · 20/12/2018 09:24

@flapjackered

Ha ha! I hear you on the boozy 2ww over Xmas?! But sod being a saint after so many BFNs. I will be DPO13 on NYE, so at least I will know then before I go out and party or, erm, celebrate with some elderflower cordial. Ha!

Inositol made my cycles shorter too, from 31/32 days to 27/28. Do you have PCOS?

@MrsR17 you forget about POAS?! Wow, it’s basically all I think about in the 2ww. I even dream about it! I am seriously impressed. 🙌👏🙌👏

cupcakesandglitter · 20/12/2018 09:30

@MrsH497 fx she doesn't turn up for you! Xx

@MrsR16 😂😂 not even a little bit? Not even the pastry?!

MrsH497 · 20/12/2018 09:39

@MrsEG yeah nights on Xmas eve so will finish about 4am luckily a quiet Xmas for us with my parents so can sleep a bit!

DayDreamer1707 · 20/12/2018 09:39

Has anyone experience little pains in the left lower side abdominal? Not painful, more annoying....think I've already ovulated as I got a positive OPKS CD6 and had lots of CM then too?

I still need to buy some mince pies...why is there so many choices...can't be a mince pie virgin forever 😆

@FlapJackered glad you got lucky...I swear we are actually worse then men hahaha!!!

FlapJackered · 20/12/2018 09:53

@KittieKath I don't think I have PCOS as my scan was clear I just used to have really long and irregular cycles for about a year then started taking inositol and fingers crossed they have been 32/33 days for the last 3 cycles. I am still ovulating quite late though on day 20 so I am hoping the Soy Isoflavones will bring that forward. I swear I could become a fertility supplement expert pretty soon 😂😂

@DayDreamer1707 those are the exact pains I get when I am ovulating. Although I think you can get them for the week around ovulation, have you taken any more opks yet or are you just giving it a rest now?

cupcakesandglitter · 20/12/2018 09:56

@DayDreamer1707 I get pains all over so I can't help sorry 😂 last night I had a pain going up my side which I've never had before but hey 🤷🏻‍♀️ also re mince pies, Asda do some mini ones and they're lovely! Maybe better to go for those as the normal mince pies are nice at one but I find too sickly eating more than that in one go x

stormtrooperjulian · 20/12/2018 09:59

@EltzBee nice work on the weight loss! Really impressive, particularly at this time of year. Pretty sure I’ve gained weight this month.

@FlapJackered well done on the dtd before your temp rise, now you can have a nice relaxing Xmas without worrying about it!

@MrsR16 you don’t like mince pies?! That’s just wrong 😂😂

My AF arrived yesterday, so cycle 6 CD2! I’m actually not that upset about AF, it would have been fairly inconvenient timing for a few reasons and my AF this time is actually normal for the first time since my implant came out. Getting cramps, proper red blood rather than mostly brown, and a normal amount rather than feeling like I’m wasting tampons (tmi I know)! So I’m actually pretty happy about that. Either my body is getting back to normal after the implant on its own or the supplements I’ve been taking this month have worked 😊 I was worried that the barely there periods were a sign that my lining was too shit to support a pregnancy anyway so I’m feeling much more positive now.

Sorry for the essay 😂😂

DayDreamer1707 · 20/12/2018 10:03

@FlapJackered I could take one when I get home I suppose at about 12:30. I've never had this pain before, like a little poke/pinch. This cycle has been a little all over the place so if the OPK is positive I think i'm going to start on the wine haha. I got a positive OPK on CD12 last month but CD6 this time and then spotted once on CD9.

@cupcakesandglitter I always wondered why guys said females where difficult but now I totally understand, we don't even understand our own bodies 😂. Pass me a pie and wine....😆

EltzBee · 20/12/2018 10:07

Morning ladies.

Had another dip today which is normal for me before AF, so I'm fairly confident she's on for her arrival tomorrow or Saturday. I have cramps starting too.

Today is 10DPO, max luteal phase I have is 11 or 12. Feeling okay about it - at least I can enjoy Christmas and my Birthday with some treats and G&Ts (hopefully she won't be too heavy over Christmas!).

DH needs to go to the states with work again next month, so now need to work out which dates I can say he can go so he's around for the fertile time still!

@stormtrooperjulian sorry to hear about AF but glad you're feeling positive - I'm not far behind you I think so I think I'll be joining you in counting down to the fertile time! lol. Glad it's a 'proper' period this time - since I came off the pill I had a couple of months that were super light and brown rather than red, which had me worried too that maybe that could mean the lining was lousy! Last months was a 'proper' period and hopefully next ones will be too. Funny, who'd think we wanted our periods to have more of a flow! lol.

I'm feeling so much more positive about TTC at the moment, even with AF imminent. I keep reminding myself that after about 15 years on the pill, it's not a surprise not to get preg straight away and for healthy couples, a year to conceive is totally normal. And if after 12 months we haven't, well, I have a huge amount of data on my cycles to be armed with!!

cupcakesandglitter · 20/12/2018 10:07

@stormtrooperjulian sorry for AF but glad that it all seems to be a normal start for you!!

@DayDreamer1707 honestly 😂 I feel so sorry for DH when I try and explain things to him and he's just like..... what? I was talking to a friend yesterday about a song that she told me about, and as I was thinking about it I just burst out crying in the office.... why 😂

KittieKath · 20/12/2018 10:08

@FlapJackered HA! Yeah, I think I should buy stocks for Holland&Barrett soon, I spent a mini fortune in there every week or so. I have been testing different things for years now, to try and alleviate symptoms of PCOS. And only when I started TTC did I realise how helpful it was to have done all the trials and tests with different supplements and already worked out my hormonal imbalances.

@DayDreamer1707 I get dull twinges / mild pains in what I think are my ovaries all the time during ovulation and the 2ww. I also feel like they change sides month to month. Not sure if they are phantom, so I never know what I am projecting and what is a true feeling.

Hmm
cupcakesandglitter · 20/12/2018 10:09

Sorry for AF too @EltzBee but glad you're feeling positive too x

DayDreamer1707 · 20/12/2018 10:30

@cupcakesandglitter Yes my OH just looks at me and says 'I'm sorry I don't know what to say, I will run you a bath' this was when I was having my melt down the other day. What was the song??

@KittieKath welcome lovely!! I thought it could be ovulation pains but I had a positive OPK on CD6 (I am currently not friends with my Vagina as shes being extra unpredictable this month) and I am currently on CD11. Think il do another OPK but if it's not positive, what could it be....🤔

@EltzBee Sorry AF is on her way but least like you said you can get merry this Christmas x

stormtrooperjulian · 20/12/2018 10:35

@EltzBee yeah I never thought I’d be this happy about period pains and flow rate 😂😂
Sorry your AF is on the way but I’m glad you’re feeling positive about everything

@DayDreamer1707 they do try and help bless them ❤️ okay you're going to think I'm crazy. It's a Persian song - I'm not Persian at all and can't understand a word of what the guy is saying 😂 but my friend played it in her car and explained it to me, and I loved it.. I'll link it here for anyone that wants to listen and laugh at me 😂
