We’re almost at the limit on thread no.8 so I thought I’d start a new one before that one fills up

@Bec18x Do you have a picture of the test? Maybe try again in a few days with a FRER and use FMU - FX for you!!

FlapJackered · 19/12/2018 16:04

@MrsLBear 😂😂 SO true!

@KatBeCool @EltzBee @MrsEG I will! 😂 I was thinking while he is in the shower I could make the bedroom all romantic with candles and music, or do you think that is just way to cheesy and will pile on too much pressure?
He can't say no if there are candles though! 😂

@DayDreamer1707 I am so sorry lovely. It's completely understandable that your body would take a while to right itself. Just be kind to yourself and try not to worry too much about it ❤️

DayDreamer1707 · 19/12/2018 16:11

@KatBeCool @MrsR16 @MrsEG @FlapJackered

Thanks so much and for keeping me positive...been having slight cramps today and slightly sore BBs. Hopefully this is indication of maybe ovulation but who knows. Cannot wait to finish work tomorrow at 12 so I can get distracted by Christmas and not keep over thinking everything.

@FlapJackered Get in the shower with him 😏

@Bec18x post a picture on here if you can

MrsEG · 19/12/2018 16:12

@FlapJackered Whatever works for him! A certain set of underwear has always been 100% effective for me (it’s actually a bit too small these days; but according to DH that only makes it better!!)

KatBeCool · 19/12/2018 16:21

@FlapJackered cheesy or not, if it works - it works!

03cclarke · 19/12/2018 16:22

This is a stressful game girls! Im only on cycle one and it's just unbearable!

KittieKath · 19/12/2018 16:34

Hi!

Can I join the party? I am TTC my first, and we have been trying since the summer.

OH has now (finally!) realised it isn't going to be quite as easy as he assumed, especially as I am 34yo. So now he is taking a keen interest in ovulation and temperatures and the dates we must DTD!! ha ha!!

I have PCOS too. But I take inositol for this, as well as Q10 for my aging eggs!

I am in 2WW now, only 2DPO... so am now wishing for Xmas to be done and finished so i can test. What a waste. ha ha!!

starkid · 19/12/2018 16:37

@KittieKath - Love that your DH is getting involved/interested in the tempting etc. Grin What's the deal with Q10 then?
Fx for you xx

starkid · 19/12/2018 16:37

*temping sorry

Bec18x · 19/12/2018 16:38

I didn’t take a picture it’s now in the bin! I’ll buy a FRER today and test on Friday I think. I normally just use the internet cheapies. Knowing me I’ll cave and test in the morning haha

starkid · 19/12/2018 16:44

@Bec18x CD58?! You trooper! xx

Bec18x · 19/12/2018 17:02

Starkid yep! I’m used to it with pcos but had been regularish until this cycle but dtd loads so if I’ve actually ovulated hoping I’ve caught the right time. Guess I’ll soon find out

KittieKath · 19/12/2018 17:03

@starkid

Honestly, I don't really know... I am just a real sucker for anything I read on any of the many TTC forums I frequent! I spend so much in Holland& Barrett I'll probably have to remortage the house soon. ha!

Very concious of being a newbie and immediately plugging an expensive product - but I have seen a fair bit of evidence around fertility and co-enzyme Q10 aka ubiquinone, especially with quality of eggs in older mums. But it's hard to work out what's bollocks and what's research on the net most of the time.

disclaimer
I ain't pregnant, so hardly a great example of its success!

But I have had signs of ovulation - some spotting on day 14-16. (sorry for TMI).

I'll give anything a go right now, to see if it works!

Fx to you too!

MrsEG · 19/12/2018 18:12

@03cclarke It can be stressful but try and just relax in to it all - it can be an information overload when you first start trying but you’ll enjoy it a whole lot more if you try (although not easy at times!!?) to keep calm with it all :)

@Bec18x Best of luck with the FRER!

@KittieKath Welcome! Great that DH is taking such a keen interest, makes life much easier! I’m 33, so whilst I don’t feel old I also feel an amount of pressure to get knocked up soon especially as we’d like two kids overall. FX!!

MrsR16 · 19/12/2018 18:57

@KittieKath hey! Welcome to the madhouse 😊 this is the best place to be when you're TTC.

@03cclarke try to relax - we're supposed to enjoy this time! I was super stressed my first cycle, but soon realised that that was never going to help. 5 cycles in and I'm waiting to test on Christmas Day!

@Bec18x god you are doing well with CD58! I was panicky with my cycle that lasted 32 days!

Well, I bit the bullet and bought a couple of FRERs today. The only thing is that I could test anytime I like with them! AF due in 5 days... someone stop me POAS! 😂😂

MrsEG · 19/12/2018 19:07

@MrsR16 If you won’t be disappointed with a BFN (which is likely when testing early) then pee away, but I personally find them really, really crushing. Personally I’d never test any earlier than 12DPO. I’m testing Xmas Day too! Have 2 FRERs and a CB digital in the cupboard and they’re staying there :) But it is totally up to you!!

MrsR16 · 19/12/2018 19:16

@MrsEG I do hate seeing BFNs! I've had a couple on my journey so far and it's not great. I'm with you - I'm gonna do my best to hold out till Christmas Day! I would be 16DPO then, so if I am pregnant it should show up for sure! Xx

MrsEG · 19/12/2018 19:19

@MrsR16 We can do this haha!! I’ll be 14DPO in Xmas Day. I’ve had a few BFNs over the last 6 months and they just hurt! For some reason this month though, I honestly have no desire to test early. I think I’ve just learned now that holding out literally a few more days makes the whole process a lot clearer and I don’t lose my mind staring at nothing hoping I am seeing something!! Not long - just think, this time next week it’s Boxing Day so we’ll both know for sure either way!! X

MrsR16 · 19/12/2018 19:56

@MrsEG ah, I can't wait!! 😊😊 x

DayDreamer1707 · 19/12/2018 20:47

Fingers crossed for you all xxx

MrsLBear · 19/12/2018 20:49

@MrsEG @MrsR16 I've already talked myself out of testing Xmas day cos I'd only be like 6dpo. So bloody tempting. Luckily I'm absurdly busy at work so don't get time at home to poas even if I wanted to.

How's everyone feeling? Any symptom spotting going on?

Totally off subject but I know we discussed mince pies this week. You've all got to try Aldi's mini mince pies. Oh my!!!!! They are amazing!!! Very little filling and lots of buttery pastry (if that's your thing) I sent DH there after work especially to get me 2 boxes!!

MrsLBear · 19/12/2018 20:50

Hope you're doing ok @DayDreamer1707 xx
Has the spotting stopped?

MrsLBear · 19/12/2018 20:54

@EltzBee I wouldn't read too much into temp dips here and there it could be so many things. Fx for you!!
Are you testing xmas morning too?

MrsEG · 19/12/2018 20:58

@MrsLBear 6DPO would be extremely early to test!! Just enjoy your Xmas day instead and hang on to your FRERs :)

I have heard Aldi do amazing mince pies! I’ll have to stock up. I bloody love them! Why is it only acceptable to have them at breakfast during December?!

MrsEG · 19/12/2018 20:59

@DayDreamer1707 Thanks lovely hope you’re feeling a bit better today?
