@MeghanV07 Can I ask did you have this before BFP?

I have this today and also specks of blood with EWCM but I am CD20 and not sure when I ovulated. Someone said it could be implantation bleed but think it could be a bit early.

After my MC on 4th October not sure what symptoms means what anymore.

xx

Tiniestsky · 30/11/2018 21:02

@MeghanV07 @fnej01 thank you for the reassurance, I don't know if it's because I mc 2 weeks ago to the day, the bleeding and symptoms only really lasted 3 days so they might expect it to come down faster because it was quick and I was only 6 weeks.... really just wanted this done with, I thought I'd go for my scan on Wednesday be told nothing was there and that'd be it, I could close that chapter, or at least work on it but now it's dragging out.
I don't know what'll happen if the blood test this Sunday stays the same 😓

Russkispy · 30/11/2018 21:19

Found this one in my notes - HCG levels by week

@TinyPaws fingers crossed 🤞 for you how long before you know for sure?
@rdm10 congratulations hun x

I call the epu and they didn't seem worried so I feel happier now just waiting for the bfn to show its self then I can start trying again. I sound like a stuck record.

Baby dust to everyone and stick stuff to those with bfp recently xx

Yukka · 01/12/2018 08:45

Congratulations @rdm10 and @meghan07 keeping everything crossed for you.

@serenaoverjoyed glad the scan went well, dating is really heard on early scans and the growth rate is so sporadic in the first 12 weeks there isn’t really a ‘normal’

@hayleyfx 🤞 for Monday. The early scans aren’t 3D sound so internal or external only pick what is immediately in front of it so you can get a different view. I’m really hoping it’s not blighted ovum xxx

Someone asked ages ago about acupuncture and my recommendation for it so I’ll try to explain! After mc in March my cycles weren’t getting back to normal (normal to gp at 31-33 days) but not normal to me usually 28days) and previously I’ve recovered quickly. I had one month I don’t think I ovd at all. So I decided to give it a go id heard it helps women conceive so thought it might help get me on track. She’s amazing she was a midwife for 25 yrs and retired into acupuncture. She explained how the body needs to work in sync and the spleen is the controller of blood flow (energy) and hormones (fertility). She felt that all my energy was being pushed to my brain as I was always thinking, researching, planning conception, analysing (sound familiar ladies?) etc and so the spleen was busy keeping my brain energised to cope with the extra work. That meant there was not enough focus on my hormones and thus my cycles weren’t quite right. The ying and yang means to be ‘in balance’ and I wasn’t. We talked in detail about my cycles and the fact that I wasn’t regularly having ewcm and that my periods are short and clotty (2 days) rather than ‘thin and flowy’. That’s when she started treatment and timed it with my cycle. When I was I day 14 first month I had no sign of any ewcm, so she treated me to get all the energy flowing to my uterus to ‘let go’ and 30 mins later at home I got a mass of ewcm. I couldn’t believe this ‘magic’. Then she treated me for good blood flow and my next period was thin and red and lasted 5 days. She told me to do yoga to clear my mind each week and maintain the right balance. Second month ecwm happened by itself on day 10, I ovd on day 14 ( bang on) ...and fell pregnant. I genuinely believe she got my cycles back to normal quicker than I could have on my own which is why I am now pregnant. I’m sticking with both, we will reduce to once a month after 12 weeks, current treatment is focused on keeping all energy in my abdomen to support these early weeks. She had so much advice too and interpretation of the female body to Chinese medicine is amazing and I just love her ❤️

I went into it completely open minded and was amazed, but it might not be right for everyone.

Sorry to see new joiners here, hope you are feeling ok xx

Day 3 of heparin injections for me, it’s going ok, it stings but I’ll get used to it. First scan Monday morning, be lovely to see a heartbeat. Feeling good otherwise, steady symptoms. I hate the cramps, you never know if they’re good or bad but seem to have calmed down now. 6w today xx

Sorry two more things 1. She told me to stop running some of you may remember I was zipping out 5ks a few times a week in the summer as it helped me mentally. She said that I was physically making my body go faster when I needed it to slow down so the energetic flow could re balance.

  1. I’ve been pregnant 4 times in 14 months and have only got pregnant on cycles when I ovd on day 14. I don’t know if this means anything.

That's interesting I have never considered acupuncture as I have a phobia of needles. my cycle since MC on 4th October seem to be 35-36 days and I was always 30 days max.

Is it painful @Yukka ?

I am going look into this xx

Yukka · 01/12/2018 09:20

Hi @octobergirl91 no it’s not painful at all. They are tiny little pins, nothing like a needle, she taps them in and then sort of tweaks them until you can feel it and then stops as that’s the point it connects with your energy. There are different acupuncture points around your body so depending on what they think for you depends on where the pins go. Xx

OP posts:
fnej01 · 01/12/2018 09:31

@Yukka good to hear it's not painful. I have my first session next Saturday and was feeling a bit apprehensive. Am hoping to balance my system back out, whilst I'm having a break TTC.

Can I ask an odd question - what did you wear? Just some loose comfy clothes?

Lilimum5 · 01/12/2018 09:50

@Yukka how lovely to hear your doing well. Hope your scan goes well

Yukka · 01/12/2018 09:54

@fnej01 yes loose bottoms that you can pull up to your knees - leggings or joggers and loose top. If they need your stomach area you just roll your top up and the top of your leggings down no need to get undressed. Shoes and socks come off as often pins go in your ankles or feet to draw the energy flow across your entire body.

Once the pins are in you just relax and try to clear you mind, focus on breathing (yoga helps here) there will probably be music in the background. On a couple of sessions she lit a Chinese herb stick and sort of waved it over my uterus area, it felt really warm, then she covered me in a blanket to keep the warmth in.

You can feel quite relaxed afterwards so plan to just go home and chill if you can xx

Thank you @lilimum5 glad the EPU resssured you and dare I say I hope that bfn comes soon so you can move on. Thinking of you, you’ve had such a tough, unfair journey. Try to do nice things and give yourself lots of love xxx

fnej01 · 01/12/2018 11:12

@Yukka thanks, that's really helpful. To be honest I am a bit hippy so do like a holistic treatment anyway. Not sure I will manage the relaxation after next weeks (OH Birthday night out) but I will bear it in mind for future appointments. It's really interesting about your EWCM - mine has definitely seemed less since the 3 MC this year, but not sure how much attention I had paid it until this last year so might not be true. I've managed all those years of not really noticing it, and feel like after this year I could do a PHD on my cycle and bodily functions 😂

MeghanV07 · 01/12/2018 11:20

@OctoberGirl91 I've always had off white/pale yellow cm, but this month was excessive! Like globs of it. Which made me question it.

Thank you @Lilimum5 ❤️

Wow @Yukka that sounds amazing! I am so tempted to go to acupuncture.

I had some cramps last night, have just gone to the toilet and had some ewcm mixed with a streak of blood 😔. I knew this was too good to be true. I feel so upset already. X

MakeLemonade · 01/12/2018 13:34

I’ve been doing acupuncture and second the recommendation, I’ve been doing it in conjunction with Reflexology to help get my hormones back to normal and help with grief and it’s been really effective. I was having terrible tension headaches and haven’t had one since the week I had both treatments - difficult to know which one is making biggest difference so I’ll stick with both. Really not needle like at all as they’re so small and thin and doesn’t hurt. I was a bit squeamish about the idea of one in the top of my head, between my fingers and in my c section scar but they were all totally fine (even if in my mind it was a bit odd!).

My reflexologist does a lovely guided meditation too - I listen to a recording of it before bed (link here if anyone is interested www.thehormonaltherapist.co.uk/recordings/ and there are specific fertility ones she does too but you might have to pay for those).

InDreamland · 01/12/2018 15:00

Hi ladies
Back from holiday and joining the roll call - thanks for the new thread.

TTC #1 since June 2013
MC x2 - first in July 2018 and second in November 2018
Should be 32 weeks pregnant with baby number 1 but instead trying to cope with loss of a second baby now.

Fingers crossed for lots of Christmas pregnancies and 2019 babies for all of us!

Anyone who normally loves Christmas and is usually excited dreading it this year?

Justincase87 · 01/12/2018 15:17

I usually love Christmas - but this year I'm dreading it - I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant but expecting bad news on Friday, just gut feeling, and should have been welcoming my first baby into the world this week. Even if it's good news on Friday I don't have my 12 week scan until new years eve and I was 12 weeks last time I had a MMC, trying to be positive but it's so hard.

@InDreamland I hope your holiday allowed you to relax just a bit, here's hoping for 2019 babies for us all X

hayleyfx · 01/12/2018 15:37

@MakeLemonade I’ve just read your last message! I thought I recognised the name, didn’t realise we were both due in Feb. I’m so sorry to hear you also had a TFMR, hardest thing I’ve ever done. I hope you have your rainbow soon ❤️

@SerenaOverjoyed thanks hun. You’re right, I could just be a few days out on my dates. I think I’m just so pessimistic because of the past. I was expecting my hcg to be super low like 100 something so I’m glad it was in the thousands, that’s one positive at least. Will see how tomorrow goes. So glad all is going well for you x

@MeghanV07 thank you 🤞 I’m sorry you had a bit of blood but a tiny bit like that isn’t usually reason to worry although I know I would be same. There’s a good chance everything is totally fine though. Will be keeping everything crossed for you x

@Yukka @Lilimum5 thanks girls. So glad I have the support of this thread. Fingers crossed 🤞 glad you’re doing well Yukka fingers crossed for Monday!! X

@InDreamland hope you had a nice holiday and are doing okay. I’m feeling the same about Christmas. Exactly 1 year ago was my first MMC and now I might be having another one exactly a year later. With even more losses and my baby boy in between. It’s surreal. Never even thought I’d experience one loss, never mind 5... 😔 Christmas is tough. I’m hoping everyone here has much better luck in 2019 x

MeghanV07 · 01/12/2018 15:41

@Justincase87 I hope you're okay. I've started bleeding today so I'm sure of the outcome, sure it's going to end in a chemical & if it does I just want it to hurry up and happen. I hope Friday is good news for you... maybe our bodies are just super sensitive after mc's? I wish they gave you more information & help after you've had one xxx

MeghanV07 · 01/12/2018 15:42

@hayleyfx thank you hun. I've had no more so
Hoping it's my stupid cervix being sensitive! Xxx

TwittleBee · 01/12/2018 17:25

Hello, can I join you all please? Just waiting for my appointment for my surgery after confining a missed miscarriage yesterday. What can I expect after that?

MeghanV07 oh, really hope that the bleeding stops and isn't anything sinister, just a typical cervix spotting or bit of implantation bleed if you're still early?

Justincase87 Sorry to hear you're struggling this time of year, unsurprising considering. Wishing you lots of luck

Justincase87 · 01/12/2018 17:33

@meghanv07 I'm feeling a bit rubbish as I've just managed to eat a load of food after being super nauseous all week, I feel like my symptoms are fading and I'm so sad. I'm sorry to hear about your bleeding, as people have said it sounds like an implantation bleed especially as it was so brief. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Lilimum5 · 01/12/2018 17:54

@TwittleBee I'm so sorry for your loss x I had surgery and it's not too bad. I had some period type cramps and felt sore for a few days. I had bleeding and spotting. I'm sure some of the other ladies will be able to explain more as I'm not the best person to ask about this. Xx

Dimblebimble · 01/12/2018 18:35

@TwittleBee I had the surgery under local anaesthetic. As it happened the miscarriage started naturally the day before and I was in quite a lot of pain by the morning of the surgery. The surgery in comparison was a breeze. They gave me gas and air and it was over quickly. No pain during or after the surgery. Hope it all goes well for you.

Lilimum5 · 01/12/2018 18:37

OK ladies I need to test your body knowledge.

Right third medical intervention for 12 week mmc on Monday, never seen so much blood and tissue in my life, pretty sure I passed everything.

So treating Monday as cd1 I am now Cd6 and I believe a negative hpt (blue strip) and a positive ovulation (green strip) today but I'm still actively bleeding. Hmmmm???
Also if this is ovulation isn't it too early and the egg would be immature and would it result in another loss if this is going to keep happening every month. I ovulated on cd10 every month before this pregnancy. With every mc my cycle get shorter, is there anything I can do the lengthen the time from cd1 to ovulation???
