Age 29
TTC no. 1 since December 2017
Mmc diagnosed Oct 18 and completed Nov 18

So I took an frer and I can actually see a faint line, which came up quickly (see pics) after the mc I tested with an internet cheapie and it was blank, but I used one again this morning and it was still blank, so maybe it wasn't picking up low levels of remaining hug? There is a very slim possibility it's a new pregnancy as it's 10 days since we first had sex post mc but I've been taking ovulation tests (again, internet cheapies) and I've had no sign of ovulation.

Got a gp appointment for half 10

@Dimblebimble don't want to sound negative but is it any chance anything left over from your MC, have you got a negative at all on a test beforehand? FX it is a new pregnancy, I can see a faint line in the 2nd picture x

Dimblebimble · 29/11/2018 08:56

@DayDreamer1707 I'm assuming for now that it's either an incomplete miscarriage or just residual hcg (I did read online it can take a month to go completely and my miscarriage was 2nd November). Coupled with the pains I've been having I think it's worth getting it checked out.

I'll be really annoyed if I have another mva/d&c as I had one in the first place!

DayDreamer1707 · 29/11/2018 09:05

@Dimblebimble yes it would make sense after the pain you was having the other day. Glad you are going to see your GP. As awful as it sounds when you go through a MC you want it done and over with ASAP. It's not fair that it has to be dragged out sometimes. Let me know how you get on and hope things get sorted and you have some answers xx

hayleyfx · 29/11/2018 09:48

Ladies I’m stressing so much today. I’m 6 weeks and have no nausea/sickness whatsoever. I know some women don’t get it at all but I just feel like I should have some by now. With my MMC, I never had any nausea the whole pregnancy (thought I was lucky - how wrong was I) as baby stopped growing at 6 weeks. Found out at 11 weeks the reason why I wasn’t feeling sick.
With Charlie I had awful sickness and although he was ill, he was growing perfectly, from 6 weeks I felt so sick and off my food and at 7 weeks started vomiting everyday. Because of my experience with morning sickness = growing pregnancy I’m freaked out. Am I being ridiculous? I need someone to calm me down. Feel convinced that this is going to be another loss 😣
Also having hardly any cramps this pregnancy which I had loads with Charlie 😔

Hi All,

TTC #1
Age 38
MMC -June 18 at 12 weeks
MC -Aug 18 and Oct 18

RMC appointment at St Mary's in Jan for investigations. Having a little break TTC until investigations done. And decided after such a heartbreaking 2018 to get married in Feb.

Welcome to the newbies, and congrats/fingers crossed for those with BFP.

I am generally lurking while not TTC but will pop up occasionally

DayDreamer1707 · 29/11/2018 10:15

@hayleyfx I had a MMC basically the same as you and thought I was a lucky one to not have an sickness. I don't think you are being ridiculous at all, I would feel exactly the same. I think you should call the EPU explain your situation and I am sure they will book you in for an early scan. The last thing you need is to be getting worked up. A friend of mine had MC at 7 weeks and they allowed her to have an early scan. I think with you having a previous MMC they would definitely be understanding. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about as no pregnancy is the same but probably having the peace of mind will make you feel a whole lot better xx

Tiniestsky · 29/11/2018 10:35

Morning ladies, hope you're all doing ok, after having my mc confirmed yesterday after a 2 week wait, I feel rough as arseholes.
My body aches all over, I didn't realise how tense and stressed I've been the last 2 weeks. Just need the second blood test to confirm the hcg levels are going down and it up and then I can close this chapter and wait for AF....

MeghanV07 · 29/11/2018 11:02

@DayDreamer1707 that's exactly what I did last month. I tried to not obsess with baby making and just concentrated on making sure I was ovulating.

AF is due tomorrow and I've just tested.

This was a 40 minute wee hold too 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Hi ladies can I join?

ttc #1
Mc in September at 11 weeks though baby lost at 8 + 5
Age 32
Ttc since June 18.

I’m in the middle of my TWw and just feeling so sad and fed up with life. Miscarriage is so hard to deal with and I’m still not feeling myself yet. X

Tiniestsky · 29/11/2018 11:30

@Dramaqueen14 I can relate, wish I had some answers for you but I think I'm learning there's no one set way to cope and deal with the shit we're going through. I mc 2 weeks ago and kinda feel ok about it... I think, but I'm sure it'll creep up on me and cause a melt down at some point.
Not sure what was worse though, the tww finding out if I was pregnant or the tww finding out whether I'd mc or not.
It all sucks!
Try to focus on positive thoughts though, I keep saying to myself "no matter how sad and heartbroken I feel right now, it'll never compare to the happiness and joy I WILL feel when I'm holding my baby for the first time"

DayDreamer1707 · 29/11/2018 11:43

@Dramaqueen14 I am also in my first TWW since my MC in October. This is my first cycle trying to conceive baby number 1. What CD are you on? I know that the MC can drag you down and literally makes you feel so empty. We just have to try our best and think of the positives. At least we CAN get pregnant x

Russkispy · 29/11/2018 11:58

@MeghanV07 I can also see the line! Congratulations!bFingers crossed for you.

ratherbeshowjumping · 29/11/2018 13:11

Ahh congrats @MeghanV07 that's a fab line!

hayleyfx · 29/11/2018 13:15

@DayDreamer1707 thank you so much for reassuring me. It’s just nice to talk to people who understand about this. Have a referral to EPU and now have requested a private scan too hopefully for the start of next week. Feeling very scared! X

@MeghanV07 congrats! Definitely a line 😊 hope it gets nice and dark for you, fingers crossed x

Hi All, can I join?

TTC #3
Found out I'd miscarried on 27th Nov 18 at approx 5w so still going through the process.

Desperately want to conceive baby #3 (1st for my OH) after our recent loss. Googling lots to see what is out there than can help and in the meantime, I'm continuing folic acid and healthy diet that I had in place whilst pregnant. Wishing you all luck for your BFPs 😊

Dimblebimble · 29/11/2018 14:15

Went to GP to discuss craps, bleeding and positive pregnancy test, got referred to hospital, have been waiting now for almost 3 hours. Gonna give it 15 mins then leave. The longer I wait the more I feel silly for making a fuss over nothing 🙄 also starting to doubt whether the test is really positive. I'm meant to be working from home today, I'm already super behind at work after the miscarriage and the various appointments involved, and no one in work knows what happened so I have no excuse. So I'm getting more and more anxious and upset that I'be wasted the best part of my day here 😩

Beaglemum93 · 29/11/2018 14:23

@Dimblebimble I know it's frustrating waiting around in the hospital but it's better to get checked out.

I had an appointment with my GP today because the hospital don't care that I'm still getting positive tests and he won't investigate it either. I feel so helpless and I'm so sick of waiting around for the negative that clearly isn't coming or an infection... I really don't know what to do now. Waiting around is driving me insane...

Dimblebimble · 29/11/2018 14:30

@Beaglemum93 how long has it been? My gp phoned the hospital and they said if it's still positive at 4 weeks post miscarriage you should test again at 5. They only agreed to see me because I've also been having cramping and had some bleeding.

Beaglemum93 · 29/11/2018 14:57

@Dimblebimble it's been 5 and a half weeks since the D&C. I know it takes more time in some women but I just thought it would be negative by now seeing as it was so low 2 and a half weeks ago and I've had a period. Have you been seen yet or are you still waiting?

Dimblebimble · 29/11/2018 15:46

@Beaglemum93 hmm that seems a long time. How long does it have to be before they'll see you? I've been seen now, the pregnancy test they did came back negative. She did a few tests using a speculum to send off, but she couldn't see any evidence anything was wrong. So she said it's probably just my body getting back to normal. She also advised to have at least 2 periods before trying again, maybe more! Can't wait that long 😫

Beaglemum93 · 29/11/2018 15:57

@Dimblebimble he said if it's still positive in another 2 weeks to go back.

They normally just say wait until after first period to try again, did they say why you should wait so long?
