Diagnosed with APS/Hughes Syndrome. On Asprin since October and start Heparin tomorrow. First scan Monday.

haleyfxNo morning sickness here either. I am a bit worried, but I think the average point to start is 6-7wks anyway. My friend had no nausea at all and she's got a gorgeous 6month boy. Every pregnancy is different x

Justincase87 there are so many little causes for bleeding. I know it's virtually impossible but try and remember that. Can you call epu and ask for a reassurance scan? When is your next one?

I'm presenting to epu as instructed to ask for a reassurance scan. I am cacking myself. I'm thinking maybe I should've waited but I've got leave for today so it feels now or never. My symptoms are a bit static so I'm preparing for bad news. My hcg fitted 5wks last week so I'm hoping I'm 6wks+ now. Who knows? Pregnancy post mc is not fun.

Quick question

If I only had retained products and had medical management to pass it. How long should a hpt still be positive. Tested this morning and still solid line on a 20mlu test. I had the mm on Monday to pass a golf ball size lump of pregnancy tissue. I believe that it did pass as I had a lot of pain and huge clot from 7.30pm until 3am Tuesday. Also how long will I bleed for. I'm starting to get a bit upset with all this bleeding. It's been going on now since 31st October and I've had 2 x mm and 1x erpc surely this should be over by now xx
Any advice would be much appreciated

@Lilimum5 unfortunately its different for everyone. This is what happened for me. I had a MMC on the 15th October had MM twice and bleed heavy for about 4 days then spotting for about 2 and a half weeks after. Had my first AF on the 14th of November. They said to me that the bleeding can last for up to 4 weeks after. I did have a scan 2 weeks after the MM and it showed everything had gone but I was still spotting slightly. Maybe call the EPU and see if they can do anything further for you? If it's pretty heavy I would do this anyway as it must be making you feel pretty ill xx

@DayDreamer1707 I've been taking extra iron anyway just in case but I think I will do that if there is no change monday

@@Lilimum5 just call them, then you can probably relax the whole weekend. I rang them when I was still spotting after 2 weeks, put my mind at ease x

I rang the EPU and they won't scan me because it isn't heavy and the pain isn't severe, they said it might be the start of something but after only a week they wouldn't be able to confirm anything either way so they won't be scanning me until Friday. My boobs aren't sore and I don't feel nauseous so I know what the outcome will be, just feel so sad that it's happening again X

@Justincase87 I hope its not as you fear. I'll keep everything crossed 🤞 that on Friday you have good news. We are here for you what ever the outcome xx

I've found the thread a bit hard to keep up with as time has gone on as I am now much more focused on secondary infertility but I didn't want to drop off entirely. I am still hoping for happy endings for you all.

@Yukka, @rdm10 and @hayleyfx congratulations!!! I'm so happy to see bfps for you. Here's to uneventful pregnancies for you all.

So generally it went well, we saw a tiny heartbeat!! They said I measure 5wks 3d though which has worried me. I got a strong line on a FRER 20 days ago, so even in the unlikely case I got a strong line at 8dpo this should put me at 6wks by now I'm not as relieved as I'd hoped to be.

This is the furthest we've got. I'm trying to enjoy being a little family for what it is now, because worrying will cheat me out of enjoying this pregnancy while it lasts. I still can't believe I might get a happy ending.

Oh Justincase87 I'm sorry. Epu sound so unhelpful . It could be harmless bleeding, this seems to happen alot on these boards. Are you in pain? I hope you're taking a deserved sickie and getting a bit of spoiling to pass the time to Friday. Everything is crossed for you! Xx

Boboelephant It's good to hear from you! How are things your end?

Well had my scan. They saw gestational sac which measures 4mm, she said she saw a yolk sac and possibly tiny embryo in abdominal scan but she rescanned me internally and could no longer see yolk sac. They’re worried that it may be a blighted ovum but they’re eager to rule out ectopic so have had bloods done.
Have to go back on Sunday for more and then will take it from there. Tbh, not looking good. Abdominally, the sac measured 6 weeks. Internally, it measure 5 weeks which has confused me? My dates definitely aren’t wrong, they keep saying to not worry because dates can always be a few days out but I know exactly when I ovulated 😕 I’m feeling surprisingly okay, pretty fed up and worried about the future but I totally expected this so I didn’t get disappointed, it was fully expected, I’m sure you all understand. Getting initial hcg levels told to me today so hopefully in the next hour or two.

@SerenaOverjoyed how exciting! Congratulations on your pregnancy and seeing a heartbeat. Try not to worry, you've gotten further than before and that heart is beating. Babies measure so differently in the first trimester which unless you are getting early scans you wouldn't know. There are so many variables around exactly when your body ovulates too, even with tracking and charting.
I'm ok thanks. Fed up really but that's pretty standard. Approaching fw which will be last natural cycle and then doing IVF in Jan. Only so long we can wait after being told everything is fine and there's no reason for not falling! Hopefully it's the answer. 🤞

@hayleyfx I'm so sorry it wasn't a reassuring scan. I have everything crossed for you and that your baby is fine. I read something that said that there is really no way to be sure exactly when we ovulate even with opks and bbt. Apparently they did a study and the majority actually got a temp rise up to two days before or after when the egg was released. So hopefully you are just a few days out and Sunday will bring good news!

@serenaoverjoyed - a heartbeat is a good sign, the more I read, the more I think ovulation dates etc are bullshit. The number of women who have mismeasurements seems so much more than those whose are correct! Fingers crossed. I stupidly didn't take today off but only survived half a shift, thankfully work people are super supportive so have come home to DH who is letting me put the Christmas tree up.

@hayleyfx - I think they take different measurements internally/externally based on how accurate the images are - an internal scan would be more accurate at this stage I would have thought. It's odd that they could see more abdominally though, although that's hopefully a positive sign, maybe you have tilted womb? I was told during this pregnancy that mine was retroverted which wasn't mentioned last time. Sending you lots of positive thoughts, and yep, definitely understand the feeling okay, part of me feels hopeful that if things aren't ok this time round, at least my body will deal with it before 12 weeks this time. I feel like loss sucks all the joy out of pregnancy when it should be a happy time.

@Boboelephant Thanks for asking, I'm going crazy here in my 2ww following IVF, I have all the pregnancy symptoms but that could easily be the progesterone I'm on. Honestly I have no idea if pregnant or not. Hopefully I'll know in a few more days. Fingers crossed for your IVF cycle! @Justincase87 thank you for the positivity 💕 I hadn’t considered that as a possibility but definitely something to consider. Pregnancy loss really does ruin subsequent pregnancies, it just makes them scary instead of exciting 😔

Got my blood results, hcg levels are 2555. They said that they’re normal for a 6 week pregnancy however my scan isn’t normal for 6 weeks. They said after your hcg hits 2000 you should see much more on a scan. Feeling pretty rubbish but what can I do 😒 thanks for all your support ladies. Will keep you updated x

haleyfx I'm no midwife but I'm not so sure about your HCG. According to Dr Google HCG at 5 wks is 18-7340, and 6wks would be 1080-56500. I interpreted my result of 2670 last week as being a 5wk-er.. but then I have measured at 5wks 3d today so what do I know

I would say it's quite possible you've fudged your dates and it's a bit early. I understand that it's normal to see the sack at 5wks and it's very rare to see the heartbeat 6wks+? In any case you'll find out soon. I'm sorry you've got this strife again, you of all people deserve a lovely worry-free pregnancy.

Boboelephant thank you. It's so early we're definitely be holding our breath for a long time to come. Last natural cycle sounds intriguing, I hope you get one of those sod's law conceptions after IVF is arranged ! A potentially lovely start to the New Year, I really hope it works for you. Is there any prep you have to do?

Justincase87 Christmas tree sounds ace. I know how you feel about the work pressure, but really, every workplace is set up to cope with sickness and no one thanks you for limping in! I wish I could take my own advice though! I'd definitely shaft all responsibilities until your re-scan, you've got a solid gold excuse

MeghanV07 I wouldn't worry about cm. I think it's common to get loads of it.

How long did it take for your hcg levels to come down after mc?
I've just got the results from my second blood test and in 48 hours it's gone from 106 tom103, it isn't a big enough drop so they want me to come back on Sunday for another cos they're worried it could be because product or something left behind.
Don't know if I should be worried, I don't have any symptoms or bleeding at all

Thank you for the re-assurance ladies I read that pre-natal vits can turn wee & cm yellow so that could be it. But you know, once you've had a mc, you're a mc symptom spotter!

@Tiniestsky mine dropped from 827 (I was supposed to be 7 weeks but only measured 4) to 200 in 48 hours. Hopefully when you go back you can get a better answer ❤️

@Tiniestsky My HCG didn't drop very evenly on my last miscarriage and I think at one point I went from 123 to 118 in 48 hours. They were quite concerned about this at the time, and scanned me, but all was fine. I miscarried naturally with no problems a few days later. I think within a week my hcg had dropped to 6.
The nurse told me that they like it to half, but for some people it doesn't happen that straightforwardly.
