@Melongoose I am so sorry. That is devastating news. I wish you all the best in recovery and big hugs to get through these next few weeks x

karryk · 04/01/2019 08:22

@MellonGoose it's so hard but I'm sure you'll know the moment when it's time to tell her and you'll use your maternal love and instinct to comfort your precious daughter. She will always be loved and looked over by her little brother or sister ❤️❤️❤️ ❤️ ❤️ xxx

39Suzy · 04/01/2019 08:26

@melongoose i have followed this thread on and off as i was 39 and TTC (now 40). I had also say goodbye to my little boy in April due to a brain abnormality which was pretty much incompatible with life (i had had flu earlier in pregnancy and my temperature was so high it had cut off the oxygen supply to him causing a massive injury during development in the early stages). I was 23w 6d when we terminated following a final diagnosis and prognosis after being picked up at the 20w scan. Up until then all had been well. It broke my heart.
I know there are no words i can offer other than how sorry i am, but if you do want any support from someone who has been there please PM me. Sending much love and strength.

Ps Sands do a really good leaflet which helps explain the death of a child to a sibling or cousin. 4 year olds generally dont have any awareness of what death means but there is some useful advise in here. ARC are also a good source of support.

Rose68 · 04/01/2019 08:48

@mellongoose I think I would be tempted say something now to your LO to prepare her. She is very bright, so I would consider a very toned down version of the truth. She will see how upset you are and this will help her to understand why.
I am thinking of you xxx

Karigan195 · 04/01/2019 09:05

I’m so sorry to hear that Mellongoose. What terrible news. I know no words can make it better but just want to give you a virtual hug 💐

ZoeRoma · 04/01/2019 13:30

KateyA · 04/01/2019 14:35

I’ve never experienced mc so I’m sure others will guide you better but make sure you’re taking care of you. I can totally understand wanting to lose weight and ttc again but just make sure you give yourself time to process the loss and relax a bit.

Kj1010 · 04/01/2019 16:35

KateyA ty i have processed the loss i no things happened for a reason i wont ever forget what happened believe me never ever forget my little bean i am starting to relax trust me but i do feel time isnt on my side as much as im 40 and i never thought id want another baby but after this im more than ever sure i would to have one last baby to complete my family me and my dp are just going with the flow what happens happens i know i can still concieve naturally i no that when it is my time to get pregnant it will happen so for now im just moving on trying to get healthier in my weight loss and just enjoying the intimacy with my partner

Cleozeta · 04/01/2019 17:32

I think I might be ovulating today. Even though I got a peak and +opk 3 days ago, on Tuesday, my temp has not gone up yet. My boobs have been sore since yesterday which I thought meant ovulation had happened, but then today I am getting ov pains, which matches the lack of high temps more. Not sure what to think. Hoping it had already happened as DH was unable to 'perform' yesterday, meaning we have not dtd since Tuesday, so if ov is happening today then we missed the boat.

Rose68 · 04/01/2019 17:57

@Cleo, if you are ov now, it’s not too late. Just dtd ASAP! x

Cleozeta · 04/01/2019 18:16

Haha rose, yep I'll try and jump on him later, hopefully he can perform this time!!

onemorego2019 · 04/01/2019 19:47

According to Ovia I'm in my fertile window, d15 of cycle. I did a cheapie LH test midday and it appeared to be just one line. Didn't wait the 10 minutes just waited a few til the sue had faded and got back to work. Left it in my handbag as at work. Looked again tonight as I went to chuck it out and there is the faintest line. I've just done another and it's only one line. What do you think is going on? Headache today and feeling generally rubbish 🙄

onemorego2019 · 04/01/2019 19:48

Oh they are the £1 shop tests if that helps!

Cleozeta · 04/01/2019 19:52

Onemorego - keep testing daily until you get 2 solid lines. Later one may have been fainter if wee was more diluted. Also with those tests you do have to leave them a while to get an accurate result

onemorego2019 · 04/01/2019 19:56

Thank you. I've got a couple left so I'll try again tomorrow. Read online early afternoon is best for them?

shinyblackdog · 04/01/2019 21:02

@mellongoose I'm so sorry. Exactly the same thing happened to me 18 months ago - spina bifida, chiari 2, talipes, just devastating. I thought I would never come back from it, only dd kept me going. Feel free to pm me, I'll be thinking of you this weekend.

BooseysMom · 04/01/2019 21:44

@mellongoose... I've been away the last couple days and omg I can't believe your tragic news. Words are just not enough to help you and I wish i could do more than type this. I'm just so so sorry Mellon. I'm sending you my most heartfelt sympathies for your loss Flowers xx

Mellongoose - thinking of you still.

Orchid - hope you’re ok too?

Cleo - strange set of events but get that man in bed!

Afm - AF arrived this morning after a 17/18 day luteal phase. It’s so tedious waiting so long after ovulation for AF! It’s the norm for me these days. Anyway, I had my obligatory cry and now I’m ok and comforted (weirdly) by the fact that it’s a new moon today too lol. I’m such a hippy as I love it when my cycles sync with the moon. Looking forward to acupuncture on Tuesday too and what else it can help me on.

hmmm123 · 05/01/2019 09:14

So my plan has gone a bit wrong as we have only dtd twice on cd7 and 9 have been testing since then on Cb digital ov sticks and no surge and now it's cd13 just tested and nothing so that means unlikely to ovulate in next two days 14 and 15 and dh is meant to be going away with work on cd16☹️

Next month also looks unlikely as I'm away during probable fertile time

Maybe I've missed the surge this month. Can you ovulate really early in the month? Normal cycles are 24-26 days but have had odd months too.. hope not perimenopause!

How is everything else doing?
