Happy birthday @Chatbash72 ! Hope you're having a nice day!
@Presh12345 , I thought it was about 7-8 days

Russkispy · 09/12/2018 17:19

@Presh12345 although from my last IUI I saw the faintest line on FRER on cd10. Next day was BFN!

BooseysMom · 09/12/2018 18:44

Happy Birthday Chat! Flowers you've joined my club now. I'm also 46 and still have regular AF and ovulation (I think!) I'm just rubbish at dtd, that's my problem! Raise a glass to the 46 year old ladies here. Wine I've only got a couple months left of 46 Hmm ... but we can still do it though!!

Snowie3 · 09/12/2018 20:03

Happy birthday Chat!

Snowie3 · 09/12/2018 20:09

Orchid, my numbers are similar to yours and my right ovary isn't doing a lot this time for some reason.

Hoping i may have some decent eggs at the end..

Scanning again tomorrow. Fingers crossed they are moving in the right direction.

littlemimosa · 09/12/2018 22:33

Happy Birthday Chat! Loving your attitude and trying to think the same. Struggling at the moment with the amount of pregnant people around me and other stresses going on in my life. Hey ho.

Russ - amazing news about your embryo. It’s only takes one ☝️

Orchid and Snowie - lots and lots of luck with this cycle 🤞

karryk · 10/12/2018 06:41

Morning, ladies 😊 wishing everyone a nice week, whatever you're up to 👍🏼

Besides feeling knackered still no symptoms so I'm going to book in for a private scan. 😕

Presh12345 · 10/12/2018 07:30

A question. If I had iui last Wednesday and I triggered on Monday night is it possible that the egg would have been fertilised immediately on Wednesday morning.?? Today I have had waves of nausea, horrendous. Had a faint line on a test yesterday but reckon that's the end of the trigger.
I was on same progesterone tablets and suppositories last time.but didn't have this sickness.

Orchid222 · 10/12/2018 08:18

Thank you Mimosa!
Snowie good luck with your scan! Mine is today too and I was up all night wondering what it would show 🙄

Good luck Snowie and Orchid 🤞

@presh I have no idea I'm afraid as I haven't been through iui. I thought it took 7-12 days for implantation to occur after ovulation but don't know whether that's helpful.

@russ great news. Lovely to hear.

Taxgirl1 · 10/12/2018 08:36

Hello ladies, Sorry I've been away from this for a few days. Trying to catch up. As ever so much going on. Sorry if I haven't mentioned you. karryk - very sorry to hear your sad news.

I need advice please. It looks as though I haven't ovulated this month. I had all the symptoms - ewcm and positive opk but no temperature surge. Why is that? Is it normal? Not sure whether it's just my age or related to the MMC. I started to miscarry at the end of August but my hcg was still elevated at the beginning of November (I had bloods). Can anyone help please? I'm feeling a little desperate! My pelvic floor doesn't feel as great as it would normally - I notice a difference before my period and I'm beginning to wonder whether I'm now peri.... Feeling blue 😩

littlemimosa · 10/12/2018 09:25

Presh I would’ve thought the same ie that fertilization would take a week or more after? Sorry not much help.

Taxgirl I’m useless when it comes to temping so I’m afraid I can’t help on that one either.

Another 3rd pregnancy announcement on FB this morning. My heart is breaking again.

Candy43 · 10/12/2018 09:30

Morning sorry to intrude. I’ve been reading some threads mostly because I’ve been looking at the chances of getting pregnant at 42 and stumbled across this one.

My husband and I aren’t trying as such. We don’t want the stress etc. Usually we use a natural method of birth control as I have a medical condition that reacts to hormonal ones but this month we moved from being careful at ‘unsafe’ times to not being careful as a baby would be a welcome but not expected addition to our family.

So guess I’m just going to have to wait and see what happens.

So really just wanted to say hi rather than loitering. Also I did work out that 10% of the women where I work had their kids after 40 🤔

Orchid222 · 10/12/2018 09:34

Mimosa I feel for you, I can't tell you how many 2nd pregnancies and babies there have been around me, it hurts. And the nurse at my clinic on Friday cheerfully told me it took her 4 months to get pg with her 3rd when she was 40...thanks lady! When I said we started trying for #2 when I was 40 she was surprised...get a grip woman and be a bit more careful about what you say to someone who's clearly desperate and unable to have a 2nd on her own! 😡

Cleozeta · 10/12/2018 10:17

Taxgirl - can you post your chart? If I were you I'd keep doing opk's as you may get another surge. Also keep temping as it may just be a slow rise (I have that sometimes) unfortunately things do change in our 40's and it's not always so predictable anymore.

Snowie and orchid - good luck with your scans

Karry - good luck with your private scan

Presh - fingers crossed for you!

Mimosa - it's so heartbreaking isn't it. When will it be us?

Welcome candy

Taxgirl1 · 10/12/2018 10:27

Cleo, here you go. Doesn't look very promising. I was taking progesterone last cycle - I had a solid smiley face on day 10. Now on day 14...

Mimosa I also know what that feels like. I met up with my NCT group yesterday - 2 of them are pregnant and I have my suspicions about another of them. I'm struggling today.

Over 40 ttc - winter baby dust for me!
karryk · 10/12/2018 11:28

I've started spotting.... The symptom I didn't want Sad will see if they can see me sooner...I'd just booked for next week...big sigh 🙄

Rose68 · 10/12/2018 11:49

@karryk spotting can be fine, but I think it’s a good idea to get the scan as soon as poss. I think you are over 6 weeks now so they should be able to tell if it’s viable. FX for you.

@Candy43 Welcome! Sounds like you have a great plan, and that’s kind of how I felt when I was trying to talk DH into ttc. I hope it works out for you without the stress that most of us on here now feel.

@Taxgirl1 I have never done the whole temperature / charting thing, so I can’t really help. I do know that when I concieved both my boys I didn’t get a positive opk, but clearly I had still ovulated. For me the charting would just be something else to obsess and stress over.

@Presh12345 it sounds promising x

AuntieGeek · 10/12/2018 11:51

@Cleozeta thanks for the input - makes sense given everything (and I'm literally only just starting OPKs this month).

I reckon I'm not pregnant - 5 tests of varying degrees of reliability have told me so (as bad a habit as my smoking was) so this month it's data gathering and recreation DTD rather than procreational.

I'll make sure I follow the instructions clearly this month and see if I am ovulating at all. If not, plan B.

Many thanks!

karryk · 10/12/2018 12:50

@Rose68 thanks Flowers they can see me on Friday morning so I'll just have to sit tight until then Confused. I had a heavy bleed at 5wks with dd1 and was convinced we'd lost her only for bean to be jumping about at the follow up. Strangely, spotting scares me more - both mmc started like that 😣 anyway there's nothing I can do now so here's hoping...

I did think about going to a nearby EPU but they are referral only so by the time I got one of those it'll be towards the end of the week anyway. Plus the woman I just spoke to at the local unit was horribly brusque...I don't understand why they employ people with no tact or sensitivity in these departments (or any to be honest!).

Rose68 · 10/12/2018 13:13

@karryk I had spotting with the mmc I have just had, but there are so many stories on line where it’s fine. It would be much cheaper to go to the epu, and there shouldn’t be any reason why they wouldn’t see you quickly. I had to get a referral for mine too, but I got a same day doctors so I got the referral straight away. Let us know how you get on. xxx

Orchid222 · 10/12/2018 13:24

Karryk I typed a message to you earlier but lost it underground :( It saud that I'm keeping everything crossed for you but you have been through an awful ordeal recently. Losing your mum will no doubt be one of worst experiences in your life and, sadly, a loss of a loved one and the sadness and stress involved can sometimes have an effect on a pregnancy so please be easy on yourself. I do hope wuth all my heart that the scan will give you good news x
