@WhatcanIhave I am so sorry for what you have been through. It’s terrible they wouldn’t scan you, surely they should confirm the miscarriage was complete? Unless you are already sure it was complete? I’m not sure I would expect a pregnancy test to be positive at 10 weeks or so as the placenta will start to take over. Your situation is similar to mine, except my 2 boys are a bit younger than yours (9 and 6) and I’m a bit older than you at 43. It took me 1.5 years to talk DH into trying, totally wasted time that we didn’t have. I have also just had a mc and currently waiting for my cycle to return.

On that note I’m pretty sure I have just ovulated and despite DH being drunk and ill and me knowing it’s not a great idea this month, I still went for it last night when he got home. Naughty me.

Rose68 · 07/12/2018 09:07

@Russkispy that’s great news! Still keeping my fingers crossed for you xxx

Cleozeta · 07/12/2018 09:26

Fingers crossed for you russkispy!

WhatcanIhave - welcome, and sorry to hear you have been through an ordeal, sounds like they dealt with you terribly. Are you sure you definitely miscarried? It seems odd they would tell you this without scan confirmation.

karryk · 07/12/2018 10:04

@Russkispy hurrah! It's a strong one 😃❤️

littlemimosa · 07/12/2018 10:48

Russ - great news:) all the luck in the world to you.

Whatcanihave - welcome. so sorry to learn about your loss and your awful treatment. i do wonder how it would be if men had babies..

Af in full flow here and feeling quite down, mainly due to the amount of (baby number 3) baby bumps i'm surrounded by. Finding it all tough going at the moment. Am sure i'll pick up once ovulation time rolls around again (says hopefully). Acupuncture booked for Tuesday so i know that'll make me feel better. oh and i've booked my 'over 40 healthcheck' based on your experience Whyhaveidonethis. I've been putting it off but you've given me the impetus to go.

Have a good day lovely ladies x

Cleozeta · 07/12/2018 11:19

Mimosa AF is always the most depressing time. Hopefully you'll perk up once its done. Always harder after baby bombs too!
40+ health check always a good idea, you never know what they may find - although usually nothing, but it's peace of mind.

karryk · 07/12/2018 11:26

@littlemimosa hugs Flowers ❤️ things will look bright again soon xxx

I had the health check thing done too earlier this year....never heard anything back so I'm assuming all is okay...although judging by many experiences, maybe they've forgotten to call me 😋

PetraRabbit · 07/12/2018 11:59

WhatcanIhave- I'm sorry! That sounds just horrid from start to finish. How disappointing. However many of us go through it, the stories still sadden me so much. You're only 41 and I think you still have a good chance to add to your family. Stick with us!

Chatbash72 · 07/12/2018 12:27

Welcome @Whatcanihave I'm so sorry you have been through... although it's horrible you might have to push for another scan to make sure... because you don't want to have anything retained.. that could cause a problem later.. how callous of the hospital... especially as you were 12 weeks.. rest up and sending lots of love..
@Russkispy go little bean !!! Keep dividing xx
@Rose68 atta girl.... 😘
@littlemimosa day 3 of af here also... sending big hugs it's pants...
Sending lots of big hugs to you all 💕💕💕💕

Russkispy · 07/12/2018 13:13

Thank you lovely ladies! Got another picture of it and it's divided in 8.3. Tomorrow will have another update in the morning and ET is lunch time!

Rose68 · 07/12/2018 13:46

My tummy is still really bloated and I still have pains so maybe I haven’t ovulated yet.... does this mean I have to jump on a DH again tonight? Seeing as we aren’t meant to be trying yet, he is going to get highly suspicious...... 🙈

Or maybe something is wrong with my tummy, it feels like ovulation pain... and is in the same place... but at the same time it does feel a bit different.

Orchid222 · 07/12/2018 15:31

Welcome Whatcaihave really sorry to hear what you've been through. I agree with Chat you should push for another scan.

Orchid222 · 07/12/2018 15:34

Russ great news about your little fighter!
I had another scan today, things aren't moving as quickly as one would expect:( the follicles are growing but taking their time so one more scan on Monday and EC most likely on Wed. I'm praying they'll be able to collect a few of good quality.

Thanks all of you for your kind words and making me feel welcome. Looking back through the thread I can see I’ve come to the right place for advice and understanding. Sorry to read about what many of you are going through/ have been through. I also see some posts that bring hope as well and have my fingers crossed for you all that things continue to progress well.
With regards to the advice that I’ve been offered, I do agree that I expected the hospital to scan me and check me more thoroughly. Having said that, the bleeding got lighter and completely stopped and I feel well physically. I’m relieved that I decided to take a test, I wasn’t satisfied with the vague explanation that I had been given for my symptoms if it wasn’t a mc. I really felt at the time that it was and I don’t really have any pregnancy symptoms any more so, yes, I’m sure.

WishingonaStar77 · 07/12/2018 18:18

@russkispy great news.. grow little Eggbert grow! Good luck for tomorrow x

AuntieGeek · 07/12/2018 21:09

I posted in August when I was on holiday and very very excited about having had my mirena out. 3 months in, more DTD than I've ever had in my life and still BFN. Except this month was odd. Normal AF is trickle CD1, Shark Week CD2 and 3 and then finishing off CD4. Last one was 3 days late according to Flo and was barely there. I wondered if I actually ovulated late and that was implantation bleeding, but all 4 tests (2 FRERs when I was what I thought was 9 and 12 DPO and 2 when I was officially 'late') BFNs. I'm asymptomatic. I did have sensitive nipples for one day and I did have a massive queasy reaction to someone's lunchtime curry yesterday but other that, there's nothing. I've got the FRERs on order - actually kinda using ovulation strips as I'm 'technically' CD7 and want to get upduffed at some point (soon I hope) but as I'm pretty old for TTC DC1 (43) I'm utterly confused. I've had 4 periods in the last 10 years thanks to the mirena and this one gone was the least periody of the lot.

I'd love your insight and experience to get me from 'possibly pregnant' to 'get a grip Geek' so I can clear my head for this cycle. All help appreciated.

Many thanks ladies.

Russkispy · 08/12/2018 11:49

Got my last update earlier this morning and my little trooper was still developing and progressing nicely. And now my little trooper is on board the mama train! Got very emotional watching it happening and even got a little snap of my tiny bean. Been given loads of things to take and test day in 10 days.

BooseysMom · 08/12/2018 14:14

@Russkispy.. wow that's wonderful news! Your precious tiny bean 😊 xx

@Whatcanihave...welcome and sorry to hear of your bad experience. I recall the same sort of thing happened to me at hosp as I was bleeding and they said it was total mc after examining me. I didn't have a scan. I said I was bleeding loads and they said it wasn't that bad so shut up!.I was feeling very delicate as you were and was made to feel stupid. I decided I didn't want ttc again after that and then when we'd given up DS was conceived! I was 40 nearly 41. Good luck xx

@kahFen.. I'm always being caught out by going back a page and losing what I'd typed! Now I type half of it and if I need to go back I copy it first and then paste it back in after.

Cleozeta · 08/12/2018 22:13

Hi Geek, did you test for ovulation etc, could it have been an anovulatory cycle? The year before last I was getting very heavy, but regular periods, but one cycle I had a very very light period and we weren't trying then so I think it must have been anovulatory.
Keep up the opk's and see if anything comes up. If it was anovulatory you should go back to normal cycle from your light af. If not then maybe test for pregnancy again. Good luck!

Russkuspy - sounds amazing, fingers crossed for you!

Presh12345 · 09/12/2018 07:46

Iui#2 last Wednesday. Started progesterone tablets and gel suppositories yesterday. Woke up at 1am and have been feeling ill and nauseous since. Feel so so rough. Is this even normal?

Chatbash72 · 09/12/2018 10:52

Ooh @Russkispy go little bean!!!!
@Presh12345 hope you feel a little better soon..
fuck it's my birthday.. 46!!! 😱😱😱 last year hit total meltdown about turning 45 and not being where I though I would be.. a year later feel in a better place, cut a load out of my diet.. few tweaks and changes, lots more vitamins... councilling ( but not just preg specific) but we have touched on the miscarriage, then my sisters miscarriage and subsequent niece and nephews arrivals and how my mother has been over this last 3 years.. if I can pass on one very useful piece of advice that I was told in last session.. take time to grieve.. 😞 your body and mind needs to go through the process..
being part of you lovely ladies has been wonderful.. but I'm not leaving, I might be 46 😳 but af arrives on time, I ovulate each month and no peri symptoms as of yet. Hubs still happy enjoying the contraceptive free dtd so on we continue.. if Mrs Craig and Mrs Mangan can fall at 46/48 there us stil hope..
lots of love and baby dust to you all fertility warriors 💕💕💕

weasledee · 09/12/2018 10:55

Happy birthday Chat!! :) x

karryk · 09/12/2018 11:21

Happy birthday @ChatBash72 ❤️🎂🎈

Cleozeta · 09/12/2018 11:26

Happy birthday chat!! Glad you are feeling positive, that has to help things along Smile

Presh - good luck to you. I've heard taking progesterone can cause symptoms, but fingers crossed they are for another reason too!

As for me, am in fw currently. This cycle's mystery issue (there is always one and it changes every time) is no ewcm! I usually know when fw is starting going by ewcm but this time opk started cranking up without it. Last cycle I had ewcm but no +opk sigh

Cleozeta · 09/12/2018 13:07

Ok scratch that, just had ewcm and a very +opk. Never had that on the same day before. Ever. Is that a good thing? I guess it must be, as ewcm has usually dried up by the time I ovulate and that's not helpful. Maybe the DHEA has helped. Let's see what happens to the LP....
