@Cleo I can totally relate. We were due within weeks of each other. Hope you're having an evening for you and allowing yourself time to remember your little one.
Meanwhile over here I am approx 5dpo, starving and nauseous in equal measure so clearly in line for a bfp this cycle 🙄 oh Ive grown to hate the tww! Remember the days when it was exciting and filled with potential and hope?

WishingonaStar77 · 05/12/2018 19:26

Hi Ladies, just checking in for a sad update.. just had a scan at 6 weeks and the sac is empty and much smaller than expected. Not even a good shaped sac either and too small even for 5 weeks.
I actually got a 3+ on CB digital last week which would have put me at 5+ weeks.

She couldn't rule out an eptopic which is scaring the crap out of me!! Not sure what to do next apart from call the RMC unitl in the morning. I'm taking Cyclogest so don't want to hold up a natural MC.

Gutted as this will be failure number 5 😥
I took another CB test just now but had really weak urine after over drinking for the scan. It went to 2-3 so I'm hoping that means it's starting to fail and not eptopic.. surely even with weak wee I should be maintaining a 3+ after 5 days from then I first got it?

I guess I'm just praying now it's not eptopic and failing naturally..

Down the snake I go back to square 1 😢 xxx

Russkispy · 05/12/2018 19:56

Thank you ladies!
@WishingonaStar77 , I'm sorry to read your news! This sucks and just not fair! Look after yourself! Our time will come and we will have our little rainbow babies!

CritterTamer · 05/12/2018 20:20

@Wishingonastar77 - I’m so sorry to read this, that’s very sad. Hope you and DH are taking care of each other xxx

@Realitysucks - I had the scratch done on this cycle. I obviously can’t say whether that was the reason it was successful or not because so many other things were different too, but I would definitely have it again. Be warned though - it’s extremely painful (doesnt last long though!)

WishingonaStar77 · 05/12/2018 20:28

@Russkipsy thank you. It does suck massively. Fingers firmly crossed for your little eggbert.. hope it divides beautifully for your egg transfer..

@CritterTamer thanks yes we are. I'm very emotional at the moment and have snapped at him a little but he's being very patient. Must keep remembering hes hurting too.

My sister on the other hand keeps telling me how common chemicals are and she has probably had loads (she's not even trying) and blighted ovums are very common too. Not helpful.. 😔

Are 5 miscarriages common?? Wouldn't have thought so 😭

Hope you're little beans are snuggling away nicely 😍 xx

Realitysucks · 05/12/2018 20:38

@wishingonastar77 tmIm so sorry, that is so difficult. Big hugs to you both 😞

@Crittertamer all ok with you? I’ve been away a bit as all just got a bit too much and had to focus on work. Did they sedate you ? They are just saying to drop a couple of paraeatamol and ibuprofen so I presume I’m awake! 😬

karryk · 05/12/2018 20:43

@WishingonaStar77 sending you the biggest of hugs Flowers ❤️ 5 is incredibly hard on you...Has any light been shed on why via tests?? I really hope your next little bean is your rainbow bub ❤️❤️❤️ I met a lady who had her little girl after 11 miscarriages..I have no idea where she got the mental strength from to keep going...

Somewhere in there is a good egg, I'm sure FlowersFlowers xxx

BooseysMom · 05/12/2018 20:45

Wishing...really sorry to hear of your mc. my heart goes out to you xx

CritterTamer · 05/12/2018 20:55

@Realitysucks nope there’s no sedation they just tell you to take 2 paracetamol beforehand then send you away with a 5 day course of antibiotics. The procedure is just done in a normal consultation room with an ultrasound and they warned me when the pain would start to be fair and it lasted about 10 seconds (was really bad though!). Afterwards I had painful cramps for a couple of hours then was totally fine the next day.

I’m doing ok - thank you for asking. Been struggling with MS which got to the point I just couldn’t function any more because it was stopping me sleeping so now on anti sickness tablets which are helping a lot 😊 I’m assuming that the fact that I’m feeling so utterly shocking is a good sign that everything is ok. Im really missing my private IVF clinic - the nhs midwives have been utterly useless so far - just found out today (when I started chasing because ive heard nothing) that my 12 week scan which should be due next week was booked in for a January when I’d be 16 weeks! When i complained to the ultrasound department they tried to accuse me of not knowing my dates - so I informed them it was an IVF pregnancy and dating scans had already been done - turned out the6 hadn’t even read the booking form which detailed all that - just booked me in for January because they were busy! Then they promised to sort it and ring me back and I’ve not heard a thing since 😔

KahFen · 05/12/2018 21:02

I have been away from the computer a bit as work getting heavy and teenage son needing a lot of support at home at the moment ... but have just come back to read how you are all doing ...
Tears are in my eyes right now ... not only at the sad stories but also and mainly at the incredible daily courage being shown here. All of you, trying so so hard, keeping on going despite statistics and fears and total heartbreak, still finding time to look after others in your families and support each other. I will send proper messages tomorrow as have a day off finally but I just wanted to say that I admire you all and I am so damned proud to be here with you and if Father Christmas could somehow see to it that we get some babydust for Christmas I would love that.
Sweet dreams to you all. May you all have a peaceful night and wake up rested and warm xxxxxx

Realitysucks · 05/12/2018 21:04

@Crittertamer I’m dreading it to be honest but I’m just gonna have to do it and DH will be there as we have to have bloods same day.

I’ve heard it’s a bit of a shock going from private to nhs. I’m in two minds as to whether to pay privately ( on the basis it works!) clinic for treatment after as I’m in a bad area for nhs or drive to Buckinghamshire NHS. Just make sure you keep on top of it and chase them. If not just keep hassling GP that it’s not been done! Get it all on record ( sorry the lawyer in me!) I had my son In Devon in 2002 and care was impeccable. Went to hospital In July this year in different county and was shocking !

Realitysucks · 05/12/2018 21:07

@crittertamer by the way MS is a really good sign. I had it with DS couldnt keep warer down to the point I thought I had food poisoning and went to gp to be told I was 6 weeks preggers!

WishingonaStar77 · 05/12/2018 21:08

@realitysucks @booseysmom thanks for your kind words.. x

@karryk thank you.. I have had some tests which came back clear. Funnily enough the more mc you have the more tests they are prepared to do! I'm now at 5 so am eligible for more advanced tests..

Trouble is it's on NHS time and we were told in Sept to try for 6 months before considering IVF and genetic testing.. which costs mega £££

Xx

PetraRabbit · 05/12/2018 21:11

Oh Wishingonastar77.....I'm so sorry! That's so incredibly unfair.

lii222 · 05/12/2018 21:15

Goodness, it’s really heartening to read all of this. I’m sorry for the terrible news popping up here and there but so grateful for the compassion. Thanks everyone.

Orchid222 · 05/12/2018 21:41

Wishing so sorry to read your news. I also had an empty sac in June, was made to wait for 2 weeks (!) to see if it grew and then another week. Awful. Why can't we just all get pregnant and have babies? Why is bit so damn hard when your age starts with a 4?!
Critter- how long before EC did you have the scratch?

OP posts:
CritterTamer · 05/12/2018 22:20

@Orchid222 the scratch needs to be done between days 17 - 21 of the cycle before your IVF cycle (so you will have a period in between)

Orchid222 · 05/12/2018 22:48

Thanks Critter. I thought it should be a while beforehand. Oh well I need to hope it works without it!

littlemimosa · 05/12/2018 23:45

Kah Fen - What a lovely message. I have tears in my eyes after reading it. All I want from Father Christmas is a baby for each and every one of us❤️

Cleo - sending love to you on such a difficult day x

Wishing - I’m so sorry. I don’t know what else to say. I just hope you’re ok and that advanced tests give you some answers x

AF arrived for me today. Am very sad but also grateful to at least still be having periods and ovulating (even if ovulation has become unpredictable). Looking forward to cycle #2 on TCM. If nothing else it’s super relaxing.

Good night warrior mummies. Stay strong. It’s not over yet💪🏼

CookieWaffle · 06/12/2018 03:50

Hey ladies, am in the middle of moving so instead of taking a break from here I'm taking a break from everything else!

@WishingonaStar77 ahh I'm so sorry to hear your news. Flowers Can't imagine how you're feeling right now. Is there any reason why they scanned that early? I haven't even told my docs yet as after my CP i was told to wait til 2 weeks after a missed period.

@KahFen such a lovely message, hope you are doing good xx

@CritterTamer glad things are doing OK, apart from the sickness! That's very worrying about the midwives, I'm not looking forward to starting all that!

@littlemimosa sorry for AF Flowers I do think that sometimes that I'm glad at least that I've been getting them. Look after yourself xx

So it was someone's 40th in the office today, and they always do a little gift giving and presentation by one of the managers. However this one manager thought it would be funny to add a load of menopause jokes in there. I don't think he realised how rude and hurtful he was being....

Presh12345 · 06/12/2018 07:13

I hope everyone is ok. Xx

Cleozeta · 06/12/2018 07:35

Boosey - fsh absolutely can change in that time. May is a while ago now. I've had 3 hormone tests now, came out as 10 in Aug, 18.4 in Jan and 10.4 in Oct, so it can change, it's also widely known that fsh can fluctuate, so it would be more useful to get 3 months in a row for a clearer idea, but most gp's won't do that.

Reality - I also had no LH surge last cycle and AF came earlier, I wonder if it's related? I definitely ovulated as I had a good temp rise. Maybe it was a crap egg or something? Hopefully next cycle we'll get an LH surge and cycle will return to a reasonable length

Cleozeta · 06/12/2018 07:47

Minime - thank you. It's so nice on here to have people who understand. Fingers crossed for you this cycle.

Wishing - so sorry to hear your sad news. No 5 mc's are not common and that's a lot of times to have your heart broken. I hope you are ok and have people to talk to. Our local hospital has a really good councelling service to those suffering losses, might be worth seeing if yours has anything like that? I hope the new tests show up something. Have you looked into killer cells testing?

Russkispy · 06/12/2018 08:05

Better news today! My little embie is progressing nicely and already ahead of today’s stage! Already divided into 5 cells on day 2. My little fighter! I got a video and picture of it! Got all emotional!

Orchid222 · 06/12/2018 09:01

Great news Russ, fingers crossed!
