@cleozeta thanks for replying. I've just booked a GP appointment for Thursday. I'll just go see what they say. Can't believe how low I feel. It's definitely AF as it's fairly heavy

Cleozeta · 04/12/2018 14:49

Hopefully it's something easily treatable. Let us know how you get on

karryk · 04/12/2018 16:22

Thank you @Cleozeta and @Orchid222 Flowers all I can do is sit and wait with fingers and toes crossed!

Welcome @CamdenTownie Smile

Best of luck @Russkispy sending positive vibes your way xx

karryk · 04/12/2018 16:26

@whyhaveidonethis sending hugs... Have you been through any life changes or stress recently? Years ago when my mum was diagnosed with Parkinson's, my cycle went totally up the spout...I had to put towels over my bed sheet and wore black jeans for almost a year until they settled down Blush

Hope the GP is able to help and it's sorted soon for you. Keep taking care of yourself Flowers

littlemimosa · 04/12/2018 18:26

Karry I’m so sorry to read your sad news about your mum. But happy to hear you got a bfp. Are you saying you were getting menopausal symptoms due to the stress? But that now your cycles are normal again? 💐for you.

Russ - sending good vibe for the follies!
Whyhaveidonethis - sounds confusing but I can’t advise you sorry. I think a gp appointment is sensible.

karryk · 04/12/2018 20:12

@littlemimosa Flowers

I pretty much had everything...skipped a couple of months...then had such bad pain it felt like someone was trying to saw my back in half (and I'm fairly good with pain) then on to bleeding heavily for months - I spent more days having a period than not having one...it was horrid... Confused

Russkispy · 04/12/2018 20:42

Thank you lovely ladies! Will keep you posted! Fingers crossed!

Rose68 · 04/12/2018 20:54

Karry, I’m so so sorry to hear about your Mum, I can’t even begin to imagine how that must feel. It’s going to take a lot of time, I hope you have plenty of support. Sending you love and hugs xxxx

karryk · 04/12/2018 21:09

@Rose68 Flowers it hasn't really sunk in yet (does it ever??)...my brain won't compute that I'll never see her again Sad I've had lots of support from friends and family though which has been so amazing. My main thing now is trying to support my dad...I'm the only child so it's on me really..he spent the last several years caring for Mum as her health deteriorated and hopefully in time he'll be able to enjoy his retirement for the first time ❤️

Orchid222 · 04/12/2018 23:18

Karryk it does sink in eventually but after a very long time. It gets a bit easier but keeps hurting 😢 Time will help though I promise. I think you have a dc already? For me that was the biggest blessing, I had to carry on and smile through tears at my ds. In a way he saved me because I'm not sure what I would be done otherwise. I hope your dad will eventually enjoy his retirement, it's so hard on them. Sending you a big hug.

So sorry to hear some of these stories. 😓
I went for iui#2 this morning. All went as planned. He said everything looked even better than last attempt. Let's see. I can't help feel negative that there's no way I could be so lucky. But then I know I have to stay positive.

Russkispy · 05/12/2018 08:39

Not great news here, only 1 survived after fertilisation and nothing to freeze. This only 1 is dividing in cells and my doctor has good prognosis for it. I can only pray now! Will be discussing plan B after ET. Im just hoping and praying it survives till Saturday transfer!

Orchid222 · 05/12/2018 08:49

Good luck Presh!
Russkispy 😢 everything crossed it makes it! Remember you only need one.

Russkispy · 05/12/2018 08:52

Good luck @Presh12345 ! Everything crossed for you!
Thank you @Orchid222 . This fight is not over yet!

Chatbash72 · 05/12/2018 09:13

Welcome @CamdenTownie.. perfect time to get busy 😘
@karryk I'm so sorry for you loss.. 💕 fingers crossed the line gets darker..
ooh fab @Russkispy go little egg get dividing 💕
@whyhaveidonethis I had a mid cycle bleed in the summer and a bfp but was nothing.. out bodies are strange beasts..
good luck @Presh12345
Sending baby dust to all.. af is knocking on the door.. and it's our anniversary! Well dtd last night so his tubes are clear for after the bitch has gone.. I guess on the plus side unlikely to be giving birth at the pink concert.. but would have owned that headline.. 🤣

Rose68 · 05/12/2018 09:22

@Chatbash I now won’t be giving birth at the take that concert in late May or going skiing while 6-7 months pregnant Sad

@Russkispy you only need one. My sister did ivf and only got one embryo, she thought it was all over. But then it worked and she got pregnant with identical twin girls. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the end of the story.... she had them at 27 weeks and only one made it, but she is now a very healthy and happy 8 year old.

Cleozeta · 05/12/2018 09:30

Fingers crossed presh, and russkispy - it only takes one, lets hope that one is it!

Sorry to those that won't be giving birth at concerts Sad

As for me, it would have been my due date today had my earlier pregnancy survived. Sad day. Will be having much wine instead.

Russkispy · 05/12/2018 09:41

@Chatbash72 and @Rose68 , yes ha k you for your support! I keep saying this fight is not over yet and I k ow it only take me one! Let's hope this is my ONE! My doc even said this only one would result in pregnancy! Let's bloody hope so! But I'll be discussing plan B as I love having a good plan! It gives me comfort and hope and the rest!

Rose68 · 05/12/2018 09:53

@Russkispy I’m sure you still have every chance of it working, try to stay positive.
Oh Cleo, that is definitely a sad day.... definitely have wine, and chocolate is good too.

On another matter, we have had no heating or hot water since we got back from Edinburgh on Sunday, I haven’t had a shower since Monday and I am feeling just a little bit stinky.

Snowie3 · 05/12/2018 10:36

Thinking of your little embryo Russ. It totally only takes one and the doctors prognosis is good!!

Sorry to hear the stories about losing loved ones. It breaks my heart. Take time and take care of yourself, sending lots of love.

I am in the middle of stims for my ivf cycle. Feel ok but trying not to think too much about it as it's out of my control. Just trying to live a healthy life now and focus on good nutrition and getting plenty of water, though it's hard when you're so busy with work and also have a 1 yr old to look after.

Miscarriages/loses are really hard to deal with especially when the time comes around with the due date. I was so naive about this before i started trying for a baby and had no idea about the miscarriage rate increasing with age - although it makes sense to me now! Maybe I should have started trying sooner, although i think 8 months into a relationship is still quite soon. If i hadnt had my loses - 2 mc and 2 CP i would have a whole brood of babies at home by now!! Nevermind, we have to deal with the hand that we are dealt and focus on what we have/are doing now. I have to remember that i am already lucky to have a wonderful family and life. Just hope i can maybe add just one more!

Have a lovely day ladies xx

Orchid222 · 05/12/2018 10:51

Snowie I'm in the middle of stims too when is your EC? Mine is sometime next week

OP posts:
Snowie3 · 05/12/2018 12:40

Hi Orchid,

It will likely be towards the end of next week.

How are you doing?

Orchid222 · 05/12/2018 13:43

We might be a few days apart then Snowie. I had my first monitoring scan after starting stims. Only 6 out of 8 follicles are growing :( ranging in size between 6 and 13+ avg 10 so waiting to see what the next scan brings (Fri or sat). Have you had any scans yet?

OP posts:
BooseysMom · 05/12/2018 18:32

That's a lovely msg Snowie!

Welcome @mahotsukai and
@lii222. Sorry to hear of your mmc’s. I also had 2 before DS who was 3rd time lucky. They were about 8 wks each time.

Welcome @CamdenTownie

good luck @Presh12345

@karryk.. my deepest sympathies to you. Flowers Like Orchid I lost my mum 2.5 years ago. It's so heart breaking but does get easier with time. I Just try to focus on the happy times.

I'm sorry if I missed anyone out. I went to the gp about my palpitations and bad AF and he said as I had hormone tests done in May It wouldn't have changed in that time.. he said my FSH was 25 and my LH was 3. They only worry if they are in the hundreds! I love him! Considering I'm 46 that's pretty good but then if m/c rate is 80% I'm terrified too!

Realitysucks · 05/12/2018 19:00

Hi all,

I’ve been off for a week or so and struggling to catch up! Hi to everyone new and I’m sorry for those with AF and losses 😞 So no LH surge for me last cycle and AF came yesterday so I took to the gin 🤬 work busy and stressful but all set for ICSI in jan. if anyone has had this, has anyone had infusion and scratch? Mine is booked for 19 Jan. All on the basis of Af starting the right time end of December. It’s also become apparent I’m on a 24 day cycle 😞 so getting shorter!
