@sunshine1987 of course 😊 I'm just wondering, because I'm not temping, shall I do bloods 7 days after my positive OPK? Or 8 days? X

sunshine1987 · 02/11/2018 14:43

@cupcakesandglitter I would do 8 days? It says a day either side doesn’t matter online but would go on the assumption you’d ovulate 24 hours after the positive xx

cupcakesandglitter · 02/11/2018 14:49

@sunshine1987 okay, thankyou 😊😊 just hope OPKs catch it! X

KMOSK · 02/11/2018 14:59

Hello everyone! Hope you don’t mind my joining. I’m new to all of this! Was wondering if anyone had any advice...I’m on day 46 of my cycle. 4 BFN - 3 before day 42 when I had what looked like implantation bleeding. Lasted until day 44. Took the 4th pregnancy test this morn and it was a BFN.
So deeply confused!
Periods have always been 27-28 day cycle. This was our first month TTC.

Delilah7 · 02/11/2018 15:00

@KMOSK welcome! It does vary when you come off the pill. Luckily mine didn't but they can change quite abit! X x

KMOSK · 02/11/2018 15:05

Thanks! Have never been on the pill. Started using Natural Cycles at the start of the year, and have been temping since, so had a good idea of when my fertile window was - or so I thought! Then app told me (retrospectively) ovulation happened around day 32 - had DTD 2 days after that happened. Was sure this bleed was a period but way too light. So thought it must’ve been implantation. Dunno what to do now.

cupcakesandglitter · 02/11/2018 15:08

@KMOSK hi 😊 do you know how long your luteal phase is? If it was 14 days then add that to the day you ovulated - so AF should potentially turn up anytime soon? OR perhaps you've not actually released an egg, I've read somewhere that can happen too... sorry if it doesn't help, our bodies do weird things! Xx

KMOSK · 02/11/2018 15:10

@cupcakesandglitter thank you! It’s usually 11days. Had never thought of the egg not being released! Just willing period to come so we can start again next month!

cupcakesandglitter · 02/11/2018 15:33

@KMOSK I had the same in September, it's irritating but I suppose as soon as she comes at least you'll be ready for the next cycle x

EltzBee · 02/11/2018 16:17

@cupcakesandglitter @KMOSK our bodies definitely do weird things. I think month before last, my body tried to ovulate as I got a surge, which then faded and it seemed to try again. Almost like it went 'Ah, lets turn it off and on again!'

KatBeCool · 02/11/2018 17:19

@cupcakesandglitter you sneezed and in front of the mirror? That gave me a good laugh. And your hubby totally deserved to see it, it's his mess 😂. For your blood tests, one day won't do enough of a difference. Also, you ovulate anywhere between 6 and 48 hours from the positive OPK. So on average you'd add a day, but even if you don't, changes aren't dramatic.

@RanchoRelaxo congratulations!

FivexFive · 02/11/2018 17:30

@RanchoRelaxo, congratulations on you bfp, I'm keeping everything crossed that this is it for you :)

rj995 · 02/11/2018 17:30

@MrsM2017 I'm CD11 & think the start of my FW. Hope you are coping with the wait, it feels so long!

Massive congratulations @RanchoRelaxo

Welcome @KMOSK

Defo going to take the advice about pre-seed and staying horizontal for as long as possible after DTD.

FlapJackered · 02/11/2018 17:58

OMG this is such a lucky week!!! Massive congratulations @RanchoRelaxo such exciting news!!! Will keep everything crossed for a sticky bean 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

FlapJackered · 02/11/2018 17:58

@Crossfitgirl how are you lovely - did af turn up in the end? X

Crossfitgirl · 02/11/2018 18:20

Sorry I haven't caught up since I asked about baby names yesterday, I'm just on my way out straight after work and we're packing up this weekend for moving and seeing friends so can't traipse through like I usually do but I'll catch up and reply to you all at some point I promise!

@flapjackered heavy spotting today (somewhere between spotting and light flow, just to be super mean so I can't even call it AF yet) :-( but pretty much onto cycle 8 now. So so upset this time, after doing smep then getting referred to fertility clinic, it's all seemed a bit much and AF is the icing on the cake 😥 I wonder what DH SA results will bring.... but off to see Dave Gorman in Harrogate tonight so hoping that will take my mind off it. Hope you're ok, we've been at it a while now haven't we? Xxx

cupcakesandglitter · 02/11/2018 18:22

@EltzBee did you get two positive OPKs? X

@KatBeCool honestly it was so funny!! I was on the bed holding my legs up, and I got cold and sneezed 😂😂 just so happened I was facing the wardrobe and that was it, so gross 😂😂😂 oh okay!! I've not looked up about blood tests so unsure how they work x

stormtrooperjulian · 02/11/2018 18:24

@Delilah7 @cupcakesandglitter @sunshine1987 @MrsR16 yeah I’m really pleased he seems so invested in this. When my af arrived last week he was really disappointed, I think he expected things to happen faster

@RanchoRelaxo congratulations! Fingers crossed for a sticky one 🤞

Welcome @KMOSK

KatBeCool · 02/11/2018 18:30

@cupcakesandglitter that's hilarious 🤣. One more thing I discovered... You can cough and not "explode". But if you try holding the cough... Might as well sneeze because it's gonna come right out 🤣🤣🤣

cupcakesandglitter · 02/11/2018 18:37

@stormtrooperjulian what cycle are you on? (sorry if I've missed it) I think guys do expect it to happen straightaway, suppose you don't ever really get told that's not the case until you're TTC!

@KatBeCool yeah I've learned not to hold it in 😂😂😂 there's nothing worse than feeling it all drop out, makes me feel so weird 😂

MrsR16 · 02/11/2018 18:41

@cupcakesandglitter the expense of smoking was one of the reasons I gave up! Haha! My DH has been smoking for nearly 20 years though and I don't think he's ready just yet.

@KMOSK welcome! Ooh, super long cycle... this is the best place for advice for sure! I just had a 32 day cycle and that felt forever!!

EltzBee · 02/11/2018 20:08

@cupcakesandglitter yes with negatives in between for a couple of days.

stormtrooperjulian · 02/11/2018 20:32

@cupcakesandglitter we’re on cycle 4 now. I told DH when we started this that it was totally normal for it to take up to a year but I’m not sure he really took it in

mrsof20118 · 02/11/2018 20:34

Congrats @ranchoRelaxo xx

ValidUser · 02/11/2018 20:34

@stormtrooperjulian woman on cycle 4 here (and a doctor - I should know better) impatiently wondering why it hasn't happened yet. 😂
