@KatBeCool oh just read down and saw AF die this weekend! Ignore that last question haha. Fingers crossed for you x

Hadaley · 14/11/2018 15:22

@purplefig

Yes! Thank you so much! I'd always understood a positive OPK might happen (way) after your HPT would already turn positive. I guess it isn't always so!

@rj995

This was actually our first cycle! Did a lot of prep work though, and monitored my cycle for a while, because I knew I might have a smaller window to TTC. Still, wow.

Thanks for all the well wishes, folks. I'm so glad I had you guys yesterday.

I had a super intense day with lots of running to catch buses, missing buses and finally some ride of doom in a taxi because I was so late. If our little cluster of cells survives this, it will hopefully survive everything. Still cramping. Sometimes sharp twitches, sometimes more like mild period cramps. I wonder what's going on in there.

BabySquid · 14/11/2018 15:24

Ok ladies... advice needed
So looking at my temps (pic posted earlier) it's quite obvious that I ovulated on Monday
HOWEVER... I've just been for a wee, and, EWCM!!! Wtf man!??!!

How am I meant to keep track of this is my body is tricking me like this?!!

Would you ladies say Ov Monday, or today??
🤷🏼‍♀️

Hadaley · 14/11/2018 15:30

@BabySquid

I have EWCM at various points in my cycle. I think. (TMI alert) I still cannot really tell the difference between that and arousal fluids.

Did you ever read this blog?

www.readytogroove.com/blog/2016/07/06/confused-about-cervical-fluid-you-dont-have-to-be/

I found it helpful!

purplefig · 14/11/2018 15:36

@Hadaley That sounds like such an intense day! Is today going better? Try and not worry too much about your little cluster of cells too much (easier said than done, I'm sure). But just remember the chances of him or her sticking around are far higher! Plus - an increased risk of miscarriage is not linked to your emotional state/stress etc. Source: NHS - www.nhs.uk/conditions/miscarriage/causes/

Hadaley · 14/11/2018 16:04

@purplefig - thanks so much again for being kind to a stranger on the internet, everything you post makes me feel better! Today was / is my chaotic day, actually. I started very early, but am also done early. Tomorrow will be marginally better. At least less travel!

purplefig · 14/11/2018 16:07

@Hadaley you're very welcome Grin we've all got to look out for one another! Glad you're gearing up for a better - even just marginally so - day. Hopefully you can get some much needed R&R on the weekend.

MrsLBear · 14/11/2018 16:09

@BabySquid I have EWCM normally around the time I ovulate - although I've never used OPKs before until this month and of course as my luck would have it I haven't had any EWCM leading up to my supposed ovulation date which is Friday.
Sorry if TMI but I'm dry as a bone.
I feel like the more I try and figure out where I'm at the more I actually don't know.
I do my temp every morning on an app but I don't find it very reliable as I don't seem to have much pattern.

Those of you that have used OPKs do you get a clear positive on the day you ovulate or is it the day after?
X

purplefig · 14/11/2018 16:29

@MrsLBear according to 'The Impatient Women's Guide' a positive OPK means you are likely going to ovulate 12 - 48 hours from then.

Delilah7 · 14/11/2018 16:50

I need my ladies!! I have an early scan tomorrow so so so nervous guys :( any advice?? :(

OP posts:
purplefig · 14/11/2018 16:59

@Delilah7 If I were you, I'd do anything I could to take my mind off of it. I'd call a friend for a catch-up, watch some stand-up comedy or a documentary, make a really complicated and long-winded dinner or take a epsom salt bath and do a guided sleep meditation so the day came around quicker! All the best x

Delilah7 · 14/11/2018 17:07

@purplefig mother in law is cooking for us tonight so can't do that!! I can defo have a relaxing bath. Maybe watch some YouTube vids!! Xx

OP posts:
purplefig · 14/11/2018 17:12

@Delilah7 or.....set up your phone in the bathroom and watch YouTube videos IN the bath! Now I could definitely while a few hours that way! All the best. Tomorrow will be here before you know it. (And if it gets really bad, try that anxiety video I posted a few pages back - I find it really helps).

stormtrooperjulian · 14/11/2018 17:16

@Delilah7 I find that exercise is a good distraction - you could find a gentle guided stretching video on YouTube and follow that for half an hour? Should help with relaxing. Or do you have a favourite book you could re-read?

Delilah7 · 14/11/2018 17:19

@stormtrooperjulian @purplefig I've not got work tomorrow either so I'm gonna today house tomorrow so that'll take my mind off it :)

OP posts:
rj995 · 14/11/2018 18:53

@stormtrooperjulian I'm totally with you on that one, feels as though it should/will happen first month and then as the months drag on you begin to realise it's not that easy...

@BabySquid sorry to hear about your MC, you may find having a break is just what it takes to fall pregnant again, no stress or worry every month, fingers crossed it happens before then tho!

@Delilah7 good luck with your appointment tomorrow, going by your bloods hopefully all will be well😊 try to enjoy it as much as poss!

Trying to document PO symptoms this month and pay attention to what's going on so I have a better picture of what to expect in the future in case this month isn't our month

EltzBee · 14/11/2018 19:55

Did an OPK this morning and similar colour to yesterdays. Did another late afternoon and it was lighter. Wondering if my LH surge has happened for this cycle and is on the way out now. Will see what temp does for next couple days..

sunshine1987 · 14/11/2018 20:10

Hope you’re all ok ladies. In sunny Mauritius in our honeymoon, think I’ve missed ovulation but I’m ok with this, we need a break and to take it easy I think. Hope everyone is ok. Sending lots of love xx

MrsR16 · 14/11/2018 20:32

OMG @sunshine1987 I hope you're having the best honeymoon!! I had to wait nearly a year to go on mine following the wedding! i reckon you're doing the right thing just not worrying and enjoying the time that you and DH have got! This is what I'm planning on doing this month for sure 😊 xx

rj995 · 14/11/2018 20:36

@sunshine1987 how wonderful!! that's where DH and I went on our honeymoon too last year, it's glorious, and the people are so lovely, hope you have the best time!

mrsof20118 · 14/11/2018 20:36

Good luck for tomorrow @Delilah7 will be thinking of you x

SullyWifey · 14/11/2018 20:58

@EltzBee finally got a big lovely positive OPK!! But we missing DTD tonight, hopefully last night caught it 🤞🏻?? And hopefully I can work my charm for tomorrow night, if not if would be Friday probs. Sometimes I feel the poor guy needs time to re-load 😂

Christ this timing is stressful.

Keep me updated on temp xx

EltzBee · 14/11/2018 21:26

@SullyWifey ah good news! We DTD last night, I think my DH is probably too tired tonight so will have to hope yday was ok and try tomorrow just in case! Lol.

Oh yeah totally get what you mean about time to reload lol. Mind you so do we! Lol

FlapJackered · 15/11/2018 06:24

@Delilah7 good luck today darling! Let us know how you get on. X

@sunshine1987 Ahh can I come?! So jealous!! Glad you're having a great time. Enjoy every second! ☀️ 🌊 🍸

@EltzBee yay for the positive opk, hopefully it is confirmed with a temp rise today or tomorrow.

I still haven't had a positive opk yet, I have got the damn flashing smiley but no sign of static yet.
DH is already starting to find SMep a challenge so not sure how successful this will be! 🙄

Delilah7 · 15/11/2018 06:25

I'm so scared 😭
