Love it @Crossfitgirl I may use that technique in the future 😉😜

KatBeCool · 17/10/2018 13:05

@Delilah7 don't let someone else's birthday stop you. I told my DH that I'll have my baby on his birthday, my birthday, demigods birthday, or any other birthday because I'd rather have a baby that shares a birthday than not have one at all. Or even the worst of them all, February 29th.

EltzBee · 17/10/2018 13:06

@MrsC87 We go with P&O, have done Oriana (a fair few years ago now!), Azura, Ventura and Britannia twice. I really wanted to book for 2020 to go on the brand new ship Iona in it's maiden year, but just didn't want to risk having to then cancel it. I think they would let the booking be moved, but we would have to make sure that we booked with a child space and things in case we did have one by then, and it just starts to get a bit complicated as the cruise lines only let so many of different age groups of little ones on (think it is to do with safety at sea rules).

MrsM2017 · 17/10/2018 13:07

@Crossfitgirl thank you 😊 hubby just text to say the clinic have finally got back to him but his appt isnt until 14th november. That's roughly when my next period is due so it kinda gives us this last month of trying before possibly thinking about next steps in more detail.....
At the mo we are DTD about 2/3 times a week when I'm not fertile and every other day at least in fertile week plus the suspected day of ovulation too. (I was using opks but it was getting a bit expensive lol so haven't for the last couple of cycles). Maybe we're just not catching it at the right time so may need to DTD more - may need to use your tactics with my hubby lol 😂

EltzBee · 17/10/2018 13:08

Agree with you about birthdays @KatBeCool, I was worried that if we did conceive this month or next then it would be the youngest in a school year (I know it sounds like a really silly thing to worry about now I've wrote it) but realised how daft that was to worry about as having a baby is far more important than when its birthday falls.

SenoraSurf · 17/10/2018 13:08

@Crossfitgirl amazing hehe enjoy!

I'm 3dpo, DTD a day before and yesterday. Cramps are getting on my nerves today though. Symptom spotting this early is crazy but still can't help myself. All this craziness and I'm only ok cycle 2?!

FlapJackered · 17/10/2018 13:09

@KatBeCool @Delilah7 my sister was born on my mum's birthday the day after my Dad's! I think it was a bit of a nightmare when we were small but now it's actually really handy, big celebrations!

@Crossfitgirl that is brilliant 😂😂 he doesn't have an excuse now!

@MrsC87 I know right! I think if I asked him what was more important there may be a moments hesitation before he would say a baby! 😂 🙈

ValidUser · 17/10/2018 13:31

Off to gp on Wednesday!

Glad to have insurance for early tests.

Delilah7 · 17/10/2018 13:37

@Crossfitgirl love that!! Go girl.

@KatBeCool guess that's true. I might love my sister but I don't like her so it's difficult.

@FlapJackered guess that's true! Xxx

Can I join?

TTC for just 1 month, age 32, has irregular AF since coming off BC in April (only had 2 AF), bloods normal, cd38, no idea when ovulating!! Flo app reckons ovulation date is on Friday?! DTD every day just in case. If my AF was back to regular I would have been due on Sat just gone but it didn't come and got a BFN test. So just going to keep at it and wait for some more signs/symptoms!!

MrsM2017 · 17/10/2018 17:40

Good luck @ValidUser 😊

Crossfitgirl · 17/10/2018 18:15

Mission TTC successful!
He took to it like a duck to water, he didn't even bother taking my clothes off 😂 got straight to it in the kitchen 🐕
Totally trying that method again!

Good luck for your GP next week @validuser. I do sometimes wish I had private medical, for stuff like that!

Welcome @cherrylo86 fingers crossed the BFN turns into a BFP!

EltzBee · 17/10/2018 18:20

Oh that did make me laugh @Crossfitgirl glad to hear the tactics worked!!

ValidUser · 17/10/2018 18:25

AF here 13dpo!

On to cycle 4 and investigations.

(Mainly because I know I may have one funny tube and DH has autoimmune conditions that can affect sperm production).

FlapJackered · 17/10/2018 18:31

@Crossfitgirl 😂 😂 well done girl!!

@ValidUser sorry for AF hun. ❤️
I found it really reassuring getting the tests done, fingers crossed everything is ok and it will just ease your mind about it all.

Welcome @cherrylo86 I am irregular too, it is a pain in the arse isn't it. I found those apps are not really helpful unless you're super regular, I found taking my temperature and opks is the only sure way to find out when I am ovulating and when af is due.

ValidUser · 17/10/2018 18:33

Thanks @FlapJackered - even finding a problem means we can take action. ❤️

cherrylo86 · 17/10/2018 18:38

Thanks flapjackered yes it is a pain in the arse. I'm pretty much using the app just to remember dates and specific symptoms I had on certain days etc. But yes it seems useless so far. I think I'm going to buy a BBT thermometer to start testing my temp.

Feeling rather crap today I'm aching and my neck has been sore all day. Slightly tender breasts and headache. I tested again out of pure curiosity (Just a cheap test) and it s neg which I expected really. So I feel like AF might be on her way or I'm coming down with a cold or something!

MrsM2017 · 17/10/2018 19:24

Haha well done @Crossfitgirl, fingers crossed for this month!

On another note, can anyone recommend any other possible supplements to take? I've been googling (which I know is probably the worst thing to do!!!). I'm currently taking folic acid and vitamin d but hubby takes nothing. We did try the his and hers tablets from pregnacare but they're pretty pricey and I didn't get on very well with them. I've ready that b6 might be good for me and b12 and coq10 for hubby might be good - anyone have any experience with these? 🙂

ValidUser · 17/10/2018 19:29

@MrsM2017 coenzyme q10 is good for your eggles.

60% chance of baby boy (apparently) (whether you care or not).

MrsM2017 · 17/10/2018 20:22

@ValidUser ah really?! Didn't know that!? Not that it matters to be fair, after this long I'd be happy with boy or girl 😊💕

Delilah7 · 17/10/2018 20:33

@cherrylo86 welcome lovely xx

@Crossfitgirl go girl!!!😂

@ValidUser sorry for AF honey x

MrsC87 · 17/10/2018 20:44

I've had a letter today for my cervical
smear. Obvs I need to go but if I'm dtd every other day is DH's spermies going to show on the test and interfere with it?

sunshine1987 · 17/10/2018 20:53

@mrsc87 same, I got mine at the weekend! I booked it and was told no sex for 24 hours before and preferably around day 14. So going to try and time around it x

MrsC87 · 17/10/2018 20:55

Really!? So bang on ovulation when we need to be dtd 🙄
I might phone up & book for after this cycle. @sunshine1987

sunshine1987 · 17/10/2018 21:07

@mrsc87 good timing isn’t it 🙈 luckily I don’t ovulate for a few days after so DTD every other day around the 14th will be ok for me x
