Eek, not sure what happened there. Hopefully you're not sitting on your hands too much to test yet! It's so easy to get obsessive. I'd always start testing far too early as I'd convinced myself it was necessary for some reason... The itching is a promising symptom!

@Mammyofasuperbaby I hope you get seen on Friday. That seems a bit of an excessive wait!

@sodababy2 I did try to book a private scan, but I couldn't get timings to work for both DP and I to go.. I might be going for a NIPT, so have decided to save the scan money towards that if we decide to.

@catren Fingers crossed for this cycle! Good testing strategy too! I hope your bloods went well today!

Welcome @EvieV28 and I hope the TWW goes quickly for you!

Mammyofasuperbaby · 20/10/2018 07:24

I went to the drs and now feel pretty positive about getting some where with this.
He listened to my history, asked me a few questions and told me he's pretty sure I have pcos. He's ordered full hormonal blood work and an ultrasound to check and then we'll go from there.
He didn't give me anything to start my period as he wants to see what my body is naturally doing
So all in all a positive trip and it only took 12 nearly 13 years to get this far

Catren · 20/10/2018 07:49

Great news mammy, things are now moving and hopefully you'll get some answers! Keep us posted

My update is that my LH rise has been detected today so another blood test on monday and hopefully it means ovulation is happening soon. I'm on cd 12 so much earlier than last month's cd20! Hopeful for a transfer maybe next weekend.

LethargicButAwesome · 22/10/2018 22:56

Good to see things moving along mammy PCOS sucks but sometimes it's good to get some answers, surprised it took so long to diagnose.

How is the blood testing going @catren? Things looking positive for a transfer this weekend!

@maya, if I waited so long to tell my mother she would not be impressed!

I tested on weekend, BFN really thought the itching was a sign - af hasn't arrived yet but not holding out too much hope

Catren · 24/10/2018 12:23

Hey lethargic, sorry you got a bfn, have you done any more since?

I've ovulated, it's cd16, so my transfer will likely be on Monday, depending on my bloods on Saturday. Come on lucky transfer number 2 🤞

LethargicButAwesome · 24/10/2018 14:54

@catren eek, that's exciting!!hope it all goes well for you and it may be a summer baby after all! I've not done any tests since, itching has subsided, albeit haven't started my period either! So God only knows, I'm thinking it's not the end of the world, as would prefer a September baby! Trying not to over think it really busy with organising a charity event and work at the moment and the prospect of being made redundant is becoming evermore real! Obviously it would be nice to get a BFP but I know the constant testing had a negative effect on me.

Let us know how your bloods go!

Af arrived sooooo I'm out :(

Catren · 26/10/2018 07:43

Sooo sorry lethargic, big hugs and glasses of 🍷 for you. Remind me how long you've been ttc #2?

Catren · 26/10/2018 07:43

Sorry you said it was cycle 7 in your intro. Here's to lucky number 8! Xx

Mammyofasuperbaby · 29/10/2018 16:09

Well after 128 days of nothing af finally arrived Sad
Moving on to cycle number 6 and a year of ttc

MeghanV07 · 30/10/2018 12:46

Hey ladies, hoping I can join?

We're TTC baby number 2 but this will be our 3rd pregnancy. Unfortunately I had a miscarriage on the 5th September 😔.

AF due tomorrow and I've had some spotting today so assuming I'm out as I've also had 742938 negative tests 🤦🏽‍♀️.

Xx

sodababy2 · 05/11/2018 12:00

Sorry about AF @Mammyofasuperbaby - that is such a long cycle.

Welcome @MeghanV07 - hope your stay on the thread is short!

What news from you @Catren? Rooting for your BFP!

How are you doing @mayago? Have you had your 12 week scan yet?

Sending love and best wishes to you all on the thread xx

Catren · 05/11/2018 21:41

Welcome meghan! Sorry you've had a mc, i hope you've had some time to get past it mentally and healed. How old is your dc? Fingers crossed af doesn't come, but uf it does you're among friends. Are you charting your temperatures or doing opks or anything?

mammy how are you doing? My goodness that was such a long cycle.

Thanks soda, how are you getting on?? I'm 8 days past my 5 day transfer (13dpo) and I'm pretty sure it hasn't worked this time. I don't feel anything, and my frers are coming back bfns, so i think i was lucky last month before my chemical. So over it! I have my blood test on thursday so they'll put me out of my misery then.

LethargicButAwesome · 06/11/2018 00:13

Welcome @meghanV07 was it's positive need it did AF dear it's head? Been a bit busy these last few weeks so have not posted much.

@mammy, I know it's sucky but if anything atleast af has arrived which means you can start your cycle again, any luck with finding out more information on whether you have PCOS and what can be done about it? Women with PCOS still get pregnant all the time so don't give up hope!

@catren I know it's sucky but try and stay positive, you'll find soon if it had worked ! Really hoping for you.

To put a positive spin on, my sister got a BFP - she's been trying for 3.5 years and basically got told she may be infertile so I'm over the moon, worried stiff as it's only just a BFP and she suffered from a miscarriage when she managed to conceive 2 years ago, would be so nice for a healthy little bub. Hoping and praying for her - but hoping some good news will put things into perspective - we are given little miracles when we least expect! So although each month is a challenge, it will happen soon :)

Mammyofasuperbaby · 11/11/2018 16:11

Hi ladies, just a quick update. I've got a date for my ultrasound to see what's going on and then I'll be going to the drs to get all my test results together and see what that holds.
On the plus side me and dp are thinking of eloping soon because wedding planning is too expensive so I could be a married woman before end of next year

Catren · 11/11/2018 22:42

So pleased to hear it mammy! And exciting that you're eloping, i hope it takes the stress off.

My bloods came back negative so second frozen transfer failed. Ffs! Im seeing my fertility specialist this afternoon to discuss next steps. I'm travelling next week when the monitoring would probably start for the next cycle so we'll have to give this month a break and maybe try our luck the old fashioned way before and after my trip.

I'd like to get one transfer in before the new year, so hopefully will be able to do that.

The first proper day of af on Saturday was hellish though and i think my endo is back. I was bedridden all day, painkillers hardly worked and because it's around my bowels any movement there absolutely killed - i couldn't even pass wind (sorry tmi but what was a girl to do). So that might mean more surgery which I'm not too keen on. No idea if we'll ever get there with dc #2. I'll update after our meeting today.

How's everyone else doing?

Catren · 12/11/2018 05:11

So we're looking like a January transfer, and a bunch of tests between now and then. They're looking for natural killee cells and then probably a course of steroids, blood thinners and intralipid infusion that soaks up the nk cells and improves immune system. Bejesus. We're going to try naturally for the next two ovulation windows anyway just in case - no point wasting good eggs. Although given the lack of any pregnancy so far I'm not pinning my hopes on it working! Over and out

HopeHopity · 12/11/2018 09:32

Hello
I am TTC#2
Can I come in?

37
Cycle 4 but I dont always ovulate Sad
I didn't this cycle

LethargicButAwesome · 12/11/2018 16:32

welcone @hopehopity, hoping this thread will bring you some hope and joy! How comes you don't always ovulate?

@catren that sucks, sorry to hear it didn't work, Maybe a break will be good for you, time out and then refocus....am sure it will happen just give it time.

@mammy a step in the right direction, just can't believe it's taken this long.

Nothing to report my end, We are going away next week so trying not to think about ttc too much

OP posts:
Mammyofasuperbaby · 13/11/2018 21:12

Hi @hopehopity, hope this thread brings you luck.

On my front, my ultrasound is in a week (20th) but I'm also showing signs of ovulating this cycle. Opks are getting darker, ewcm and the odd cramp in my sides. So fingers crossed that I actually ovulate this cycle.

LethargicButAwesome · 13/11/2018 23:48

That's positive @mammy plenty of dtd !!!

OP posts:
Mammyofasuperbaby · 14/11/2018 09:59

Well the signs went as quickly as they came and no dtd as DS became ill last night with viral induced wheeze. The joys of being a preemie parent

Mammyofasuperbaby · 16/11/2018 17:00

OMG!!!! ITS HAPPENING!!!
I've actually got a proper positive opk. Cd19 and plenty of dtd so hopefully this is going to go well.
I'm over the moon with this as I haven't ovulated in at least 5-6 months.
Fyi I know it looks lighter in the photo but the test line is very thin but just as dark as the control

TTC baby 2 - Third thread lucky?
Coffeewithmyoxyg3n · 16/11/2018 17:50

Hi can I join :) Need somewhere to vent with people who get the struggle of TTC!

I'm 24 and have a 4 year old DD. Have been ttc #2 for a year now. Officially had my 1 year infertility appointment today at the hospital. Can't believe it's been a year already, have irregular periods and pcos so just not ovulating.

Feeling very sorry for myself as everyone o know is pregnant atm and my cousin has gone into labour today so feeling thoroughly depressed and miserable but have to hide it!

Anyway let's hope that this is a lucky bus for us all!

Mammyofasuperbaby · 16/11/2018 18:09

Hi @Coffeewithmyoxyg3n, you are more than welcome to join.
I'm in a similar boat to you, except my DS is 2 and I'm in the process of being diagnosed with pcos after 12 years.
It's ok to feel sad or frustrated at times, we all do, but that's what we are here for. To share the highs and lows of TTC.
