Oh and I'm not obsessed with ttc or temping or anything but..........

I woke up today when ds woke up and cried and when I noticed it was light outside, I was really pleased cos I realised that ds must have slept through again (a rare but wonderful occurance). I looked at my clock and it said 3.00. I thought 'it can't be 3 o'clock cos it's light outside', and decided the electic must've gone off in the middle of the night again (having a few problems with it at the moment) although I couldn't understand why the clock display wasn't flashing (which it does when the electric comes back on). Anyway, thinking it must be about 5.30, ds's usual wake up time, I dutifully shoved the thermometer in my mouth while ds moaned about having to wait. As i removed the thermometer and put the light on to read it, reality came flooding back..........in my haste to take my temperature in my half-asleep state I had failed to realise that I was still fully dressed and the reason ds had slept through was because it WAS 3.00PM and he only went to sleep 2 hours ago for his AFTERNOON NAP

ronshar · 15/06/2007 19:34

That is shocking. I cant remember the last time I was allowed to sleep in the afternoon. My little darlings think it is part of their job description to wake me up at any sign of eye closed action. Even at 5am! I am so so you are so lucky.
The thermometer thing is funny though!! We should add that to the description of a fertility weirdo!

lissie · 15/06/2007 22:30

pmsl, Dontlook, that is the funniest thing ive read in ages!!

tigerschick · 15/06/2007 22:33

My goodness, once again!! How much catching up am I going to have to do after 10 days off line ??

Anyway - you can keep your firemen, I've just watched Rory Underwood playing Australia in 1988 on ESPN Classic

Scorpio - lol, don't let dh hear you suggesting he doesn't pull his weight! I usually mow the front lawn once a week and he does the back one. But today the mower had run out of petrol, so dh kindly suggested that I borrow the farm strimmer and go round the edges! He's good like that

btw, have you noticed that I now have photos on my profile

fruitgum · 16/06/2007 07:08

hiya all, and welcome to the newbies

spurgs - do you find the uniforms looses it's appeal after a few times of washing it?

Lexie100 · 16/06/2007 07:18

Nothing really. Just did the usual ov tests and a few extra BDing session just to be on the safe side (before and after ov). Mainly relaxed about the whole thing. But i did look back at my last 5 AF and realised that after 14 months of them being all over the place 4 out of the 5 were 27 day cycles and that perhaps my body was telling me it was ready for another one. But quite frankly who knows. i analysed everything month after month and it never happened before!

good luck.

scorpio1 · 17/06/2007 14:15

Can't remember who I've told but I've had a name change from McDreamy - what do you all think?

RedLorryYellowLorry · 17/06/2007 14:29

Just found out my SIL is 8 wks pregnant with her 2nd Lovely news for her and my brother. Just waiting for AF to go and I'll be hoping not to be too far behind her.

EllieG · 17/06/2007 17:34

EllieG · 17/06/2007 17:34

That should have been 'think' not 'thing;. Stupid fingers.

EllieG · 17/06/2007 19:07

AF is here I am so upset stupid really

tigerschick · 17/06/2007 19:40

Right Ladies, I'm signing off for a couple of weeks. Your instructions are:

  1. Lots of sex
  2. No periods
  3. At least a couple of BFPs

Got that?
Don't let me down.

Have a good couple of weeks

my1stbaby · 17/06/2007 20:05

Oh Ellie sorry that AF is here . Are you ok? It's not stupid to be upset. We all have been there and understand exactly how disappointing it is. I was so heartbroken when mine came last week but I'm ok now and am looking forward to trying again this month .

tigerchick bye bye! See you in a couple of weeks.

lexie big congrats and good luck with the pregnancy. Take care of yourself {hugs}.

marmite love the name. I have a strange love/hate relationship with the stuff. Was craving for marmite when backpacking in Africa to the extent that I begged an Aussie I met in Zambia to swap a can of tuna for his little packet of marmite !

pinkslippers · 17/06/2007 20:23

Evening all. Well AF arrived 3 days early!?! so it's july thread for me now. I am really confussed on why i was early and i was being so patient as well. sods law i suppose. Oh well. another month of fun trying.

CD3 of a 34day cycle. so another 31 days to go. hmmmmph.

EllieG · 17/06/2007 21:16

Thanks my1st - am OK now. Had a big cry at DP and felt a bit silly but he was lovely. Had got myself all hoping this month and was so upset but am much better now. DP said 'You're still missing Elvis (our silly nickname for MC'd baby) aren't you?' which made me cry LOTS realising it was true, think am still grieving in some ways but feel quite chilled now having got it all out. He said not to worry and that he would love to have a baby with me and that it would happen, and until it did I've got him and he'll always love me, (sorry for being mushy) so I think I have a lot really, and feel pretty lucky overall.

DontlookatmeImshy · 17/06/2007 21:44

Congrats Lexie

Aww Ellie, you dh sounds lovely

EllieG · 17/06/2007 21:55

He is. Although I told him you said that and he is now being very smug and says since he is so special I should make him a cup of tea.

my1stbaby · 17/06/2007 21:56

Ellie- your DP sounds so lovelyyyy . It's true you know, whatever happens you still have each other and that's a heck of a lot to be thankful for. It's not mushy at all . I'm glad you are feeling better now; it's good to have a cry and let it all out. I totally understand how you feel about Elvis; I miss my baby too and really miss being pregnant strange as it may sound! Well, here's to the best of luck for us both in the new cycle. Hopefully we'll joining the BFP's next month . Take care now...

EllieG · 17/06/2007 21:57

You too my1st - thanks again - off to bed now (yawn emoticon) night all xxx

EllieG · 17/06/2007 22:03

Before I go - am feeling very mushy tonight so do excuse me - just wanted to say you're all lovely
