Eek never started one of these threads before but thought i'd be brave.

obbley · 04/07/2007 09:44

hello spugs, yes first cycle, i am studying full time so as its the final year we are thinking why not start now, no guarantee it will be on this cycle anyway i would be more than happy if it was. at moment not sure if my symptoms are af related what a pain. thinking too much

McDreamy · 04/07/2007 09:46

McDreamy · 04/07/2007 09:46

Mcdreamy-you meant wanting, didn't you?

McDreamy · 04/07/2007 10:22

My new word for us TTC's wainting - wanting and waiting

scorpio1 · 04/07/2007 10:24

sounds perfect! how are you anyway? im a bit bored today, tbh, but i hate playgroups!

McDreamy · 04/07/2007 10:26

Yeah not bad, hot and sticky! Children just having some lunch and quiet time while I have s quik peek on mumsnet Not sure what to do this afternoon. There's ony so much playgrouping you can do it one week isn't there? {wink]

scorpio1 · 04/07/2007 10:29

I generally don't go to playgroups-the people there drive me mad, its so boring!

when i have this baby to be, im going to join a bay club to make some new friends, me thinks.last time i didn't, and it was my downfall. (got nasty PND).

its really windy here, at least its not raining my ds has gone on another school trip today, to look around newlyn harbour and go to the park, bless him! (he's 5, btw)

McDreamy · 04/07/2007 10:31

awww sounds like he'll have a fun day - albeit windy

Sorry to hear about your pnd. Did it last long? You sounds very together about it now, got coping strategies already - that's good!

scorpio1 · 04/07/2007 10:36

my PND lasted about 18 months that time

with ds1 it was about 4 months.last time was awful, but partially circumstantial too. my dp went to an anger/violence course at the beginning of this year-his behaviour is so different now! this time round they have noted down that im to have extra GP checks through pg and extra visits after-last time it started antenatally at 29 weeks, when my sister had an abortion and my dp was being an arse with a big A. i had a support worker who was (and sometimes still is) my guardian angel. she is also visiting me from 28 weeks antenatally this time too. better safe than sorry! i really feel that if its worse this time round, somethings going to go wrong.

But, everything is a thousand times better this time-we earn more, our relationship is now solid after that work, and i have a life of my own too, through studying.

phew, that was long.

McDreamy · 04/07/2007 10:50

Poor you - you guys have really been through it. Good for you to come out of the other side, I really pleased for you

So this is no. 3 then - how do you feel? If/when we get a bfp this will also be no3 for us

scorpio1 · 04/07/2007 10:56

yes, number 3 for me, number 4 overall-i have a dss too, who is 5.8.

im just too excited! i love being pg/doing babies our car is just about big enough for 3 carseats, although when dss is here we will have to public transport it!

what about you??

McDreamy · 04/07/2007 10:58

Took us a long time to get to the decision to go for it but now we have made our minds up I just want to be pg and get on with it Like you our car can just squeeze 3 seats in!!!

scorpio1 · 04/07/2007 11:02

i had to persuade dp for about 18 months to let me....it was a bit rough at one point! he gave in in the middle of woolworths randomly one day. i had my coil out the next day, just incase! he is very laid back about it, anyway. Glad 1 of us is!

i was so relieved our car fits the seats in, we only got it a few months ago

i want a crib this time,this one!

scorpio1 · 04/07/2007 11:02

how long have you been ttc? and how old are your dcs? [nosey]

obbley · 04/07/2007 11:05

hello, studying social work one year left i have enjoyed it so much. what about you. i too find playgroups a bit clicky especially if you dont get to go that often or is that just me.

obbley · 04/07/2007 11:08

how many children do you want, i have one but i would like about three, DP would like four not sure who's pelvic floor we will be using

scorpio1 · 04/07/2007 11:25

scorpio1 · 04/07/2007 11:57

congrats on your nursing-why dont you apply for SW? you could start when your baby was a yr or 2....don't you enjoy nursing? which uni are you at?

scorpio1 · 04/07/2007 12:07

oh, ive got bad cramps....

here we go again

MamaMaiasaura · 04/07/2007 12:18

cramps. I did get cramps tho with this bean (ever hopeful).

I did enjoy nursing but sod all jobs really and not good for family working. Was at Southampton Uni. I did mental health so if I did social work I could stay in the same area. Love community work.
