My AF arrived yesterday so I'm off the September bus already

This month I am going to track my cycle using ovulation strips. DTD lots last month so I'm gutted but onwards and upwards!

@TwittleBee I've been off the pill since February but only really started trying last month. I'm not too worried about when it happens specifically as we've been forcing ourselves doing it every other day. It's no easy task with a 3 year old and working! I'm looking forward to the 2ww for a break especially as I thought I'd ovulated Tuesday but it was probably today based on cm 😂

Hi all. Sorry to see some more from September. I'm now cd20 and have just had a flashing smiley after 10 days of blank circles. I don't know what is going on but just going to trust the test and start dtd. I just wish my cycle was the same each month!

@loveshinealight have just seen your comment. Maybe keep testing, it is possible you're just having along cycle. Mine have been between 29 and 33 days over the last 6 months. Apparently that's still normal. A 33 day cycle would ovulate CD 21 and I only got my flashing smiley today cd20. It's so frustrating but you're not on your own.

Hi. Think I am 2/3 dpo now as feel like i must have of ovulated at the second positive.

My app only had me down for ov yesterday but that would have been 3 days after my +tv opk. So would you go by the app or by when I got the positive?

@Soberfutures i tend to go by 1 day after the positive for ovulation. Once you've tracked for a few cycles look at the nunber of days between when you think you ovulated and when you got AF. This should usually be the same length each cycle even if you ovulate on a different CD. Love the name btw...fx we all have sober futures!

@veeboo thank you I will go from then. Hopefully as we only the twice this month we may have just caught it. But not too hopeful.

Now just to decide when to test.

Today's OPK was much stronger, so I'm going to count ovulation as tomorrow. First time tracking ovulation and I'm only one day ahead of when the apps say I should be ovulating. It's reassuring because I've had all sorts of paranoid thoughts going through my head about TTC!

I got a definite positive last night! My husband had the cold so no sex till this morning. Hopefully again tonight 🤞🏻

So does a positive mean you have ovulated or that you will ovulate?

@loveshinalight as I understand it the positive means the lh surge which causes the egg to release has been detected. Most trusted websites say you'll ovulate within 12-36 hours of a positive so maybe dtd today and tomorrow?

@veeboo - thank you. Glad you got your positive too. CD21 today for me. I think my cycles are roughly every 32 days. Fingers crossed for a BFP soon!

I was due on on the 14th September I started bleeding that day not heavy and it wasn't like a normal period it was more brown I did a digital test 2 days later it was positive I was peeling a lot and boobs were bigger my belly was bubbling then nothing I did a digital test again a week layer and it was negative but I'm not bleeding have no pain etc I'm so confused

But HELP just been toilet (tmi) and was very damp below and lots of white crazy cm. Now I do sort of track cm and have seen it go clear and sticky at different points so far in this cycle so it did seem to do incite with my +opk. So this was a puzzle and I Google and see maybe it's post ovulation sign.
So for a laugh I try another opk as I've seen them turn back negative since. And WTF I get this!!!!

And this is the full months. I didn't test yesterday but the day before was defo negative and the middle ones were also dark......????

@Soberfutures the top one is definitely positive and the cm suggests youre ovulating now. I think you should dtd today and tomorrow and don't worry too much. I find the ic opks vary depending on time of day an how much water you've drank.

Hi @veeboo I'll be starting the 2ww soon... currently on CD11 and just got my first flashing smiley with the Clear Blue OKPs. How have you found using them?- have you used other ones as well?

Hi @Nell90x well I am cd21 and just got my second flashy smiley. Still no static. I find them easier to read but probably best to ask me when I am less anxious about why I haven't ovulated yet! I've had cycles between 29 and 33 days but this one will be at least 36 days if the test is accurate. Not sure I trust what's going on yet!

@Nell90x I've only just started using them - first smiley at Cd day 16 - it was static, not flashing. This month I've used the clear blue OPKS and the Internet cheapies, both showed ov so I they've both done what they should.

Already have a toddler!

Last cycle was a total failure and I was really upset about it which took me by surprise. We weren't meant to be properly trying until Jan/Feb next year so if this cycle doesn't work then we will wait until then. I have OPKs, temperature tracking and so on but it has been a couple of years since I did this so I have forgotten lots of it!

Fingers crossed that this is the month for us all! I think I am due to ovulate around Wednesday time but as I have a shorter cycle I am going to do OPKs to try and pinpoint the right day.

AF left yesterday after arriving 16 days early ( not sure why) so cycles are messed up this month.
Been with my partner nearly 5 years and never used contreception however began actively TTC January this year, slight worries I can’t fall pregnant due to it never happening before and partner has a son from a previous relationship.
So currently on CD6 I work away so sometime make is difficult to DTD around ovulation but my rota falls nice this month and I’m off for 5 days around ovulation due date. Fingers crossed.
