My AF arrived yesterday so I'm off the September bus already

This month I am going to track my cycle using ovulation strips. DTD lots last month so I'm gutted but onwards and upwards!

good luck everyone. DP and I said we didn't want an October conception so have been trying since April with no joy so we could avoid a July baby (his entire family are July births, so have said from day one that we bet it wouldn't happen until October). Now we couldn't care less and just want our BFP.

why does no one tell you that this getting pregnant is so tricky? i knew so many girls in colleague who had one night stands / split condoms which resulted in pregnancy? seems like the more you want it, the less it happens

@Peonie89 I feel the exact same, it's so frustrating!

I have 4 tracking apps (obsessed much? 😂) and according to them I either ovulate today, Friday or Saturday. OPKs say no ovulation yet, testing 2 x day, hopefully see that line soon! AF due around 5th October.

Hope you're getting the action in feverbee ! Do OPKs work for you then? I know for some they don't (did for me it when I was using them)

Trying hard not to do much tracking etc this time round. DH said we are just going casual now as he thinks me getting obsessed made it worse. 🤦‍♀️

I think your DH makes sense. You hear of that a lot - the month people try and be more relaxed about it is the month they get their BFP. Hopefully it'll be you this month!

I seem to have gained a food baby if nothing else this month 😣 this ttc lark is so emotional and I am comforting myself with food. Anyone got any tips for coping with this rollercoaster?

Hi all! Hope everyone doing okay and fx for those of us approaching the tww first. Still absolutely nothing on the clearblue advanced opks for me. I'm cd16 now and no flashing smiley. Very confused.

@feverbee it is hard but I try and think about keeping control in other parts of my life like food and exercise as we just have no control over this. I can't say I succeed all the time but exercise helps x

I don't really get pms, however I have noticed I get 'I'm not pregnant' grumps when af arrives 😂

No charting of any kind this month. I'm taking a month off and looking into acupuncture at the mo 👍🏻

feverbee any luck yet with the OPKs? Hope you're DTD anyway if you are potentially around O time. Do you chart your CM? I found that to be spot on with my OPKs and BBT charting (when I was going full out with the TTC)

veeboo don't be disheartened by OPK not flashing for you. I've been around on these threads long enough now to have seen plenty of people who don't have any luck with OPKs yet they're still ovulating and do get pregnant!

Wishful30 I've come off the charting too. Not worth bothering with as it now makes me too stressed haha. Acupuncture is a great shout, maybe look into getting some messages in too to help relax you?

I've had a shit day, really bringing me down seeing pregnant women everywhere or seeing siblings all happy together! Coming up to 1 year of TTC soon

No positive opk yet, hopefully it'll happen soon. Trying to DTD every second day at least so hopefully it'll be enough.

@veeboo I'm just beginning the 2ww now although not too sure when I o'd this month. My app says Tuesday but obviously this is a guess but I've had watery cm from Monday and now this evening a bit of ewcm so I'm thinking more today/ yesterday? 🤷‍♀️
Googling just tells me ovulation when cm changes so... no clearer!

I'm going to assume 1dpo today. Anyone else with me?? Not too obsessed as yet thankfully but time will tell.

Sorry for those having a confusing time. I'm with you! Day 9 of using clearblue advanced opk and still only blank circles. I'm cd18 now. I have had cycles of 31 and 33 days but mainly below that so I'm worried I haven't ovulate this month. We haven't dtd at all anyway. Really hoping for a late smiley but should have at least had a flashing smiley by now?!

I'm all confused too. Cycle day 19 and no positive OPK. Next month I'm not using them! I'll just have sex every second day

Although I'm ttc#3 I feel like I'm starting from the beginning.

I got v lucky with my dd1 on first month trying so no stress or opk or temps. I then spent nearly 18 months and a referal for secondary infertility and a pcos diagnosis and I was prescribed Clomid.

I only found I was preg with ds1 when I did a test before starting the meds. Very lucky and even the doctors laughed it was ironic.

So I'm now older 36 and have been trying but not charting too much apart from an app for 12 cycles. I'm back at the fertility clinic and have started opk this month tho I kmow with pcos it's not a definate.

I have had 2 chemicals and an 6 week loss so far. But from what I think I'm now either 5dpo if my first lol was true or more likely 1dpo.

Finally got a positive OPK this morning at CD 13. The line wasn't too strong but it was there. I tested at 6pm last night and there was nothing, then at 6am this morning there's a faint line. Hoping when I test after work today using the clear blue OPK I'll get a smiley. Planning on DTD today, tomorrow and Sunday to give us the best chance.

If you got a positive opk today would you record in your app you ovulated today? I wasn't sure because it's technically a surge and from what I've read you don't actually ovulate for 12-48 hours. Anyone any ideas? TIA 💕

feverbee I wouldnt count that as a +OPK tbh as a +OPK is one that is at least as strong as the 2nd line (I literally always have a faint line on mine). But certainly sounds like you are getting close! Don't count it as an OV, can you record a +OPK though in your app for when you do get the smiley on the CB? I use Flo as an app (just using it to remind myself when next period is due atm) and I really recommend it, really adapts after a couple cycles to what you put in.

muddypuddlejumping I found that the day after I have Ovd my CM stops being EW & will just be dry. Maybe record it a few cycles (if you arent lucky any time soon) and see if you notice a pattern?

feverbee certainly could be you getting close though! Really hope the OPKs work for you. I've been doing this tracking stuff for ages now (as I started it before we even started TTC so I could get to know my cycle) so if you have any questions I might be able to help then again I'm still here so doing something wrong Certainly be getting in the action! I reckon we might end up being Ov twins as I reckon I'll be Oving tomorrow judging my CM

@twittlebee CD14 and i think i could be ovulating today/tomorrow too I had ordered OPKs to start this month, but they hadn't arrived on time so just winging it for now.
I've noticed mood swings and some back twinges and the last few cycles I have EWCM just before ovulating but turns watery during!
Hoping we all catch it this time
