I haven't been getting notifications for this group, annoying! Hope we're all ready for Christmas. I am not!! I decided to decorate my living room and don't even have my tree up yet!!

I've come for some Zika advice.. we had a moment of madness and had unprotected sex whilst I'm in my 8 week wait. I didn't get bitten while I was abroad, do I need to be worried? It just kind of happened and all was forgotten in the heat of the moment

The doctors may want to send you for extra scans if you were pregnant. Sometimes you don't know you've been bitten and it's symptomless.

However, try not to worry. I think they worked out it's affecting like 0.01 percent of people.

@McHelenz well that's reassuring. I should still wait out the rest of the 8 weeks though shouldn't I? I definitely didn't get bitten (I was paranoid so practically inspected every bit of my body each day) but it's the 'what if'.

@dottydally I would continue to have protected sex and were you to get pregnant, tell the doctor right away about the unprotected zika time so they can test if needed

Not too bad @dotty! Still trying to get my living room finished before Christmas. It's getting a bit ridiculous now!

@Tropicana1 it's so soon! I can't believe it. Just a few more weeks to get through and I will be joining the obsessive/symptom spotters. I kid myself that I won't but we know I will! It's all a little bit surreal to be honest.

You are getting there too. When are you having your coil out?

@dottydally late Feb / early March I think. Need to find out how long the wait time for an appointment to have it removed is. It's usually 3 weeks just for a standard appointment at my docs. I would just get it out sooner but my OH hates condoms 🤦🏼‍♀️ classic.
