New thread ladies! @PastaSauceHoarder @Goostacean @Barker26 @crazychemist @DoveGreylove @springsummerautumnwinter can't remember who else to tag.

I know @cupcakesandglitter has linked us to a new thread but I'm not sure I am strong enough to be surrounded by those TTC already!

@PumpkinsMum18 I guess it depends how much of a disaster it would be if you got pregnant straight away. For us it would be financially less ideal, but still OK, so we decided to go for it. Also my DH was really supportive of me coming off the pill to see if it helped with my anxiety and to have fewer chemicals going round my body! He said it was a bit weird going back to condoms at first - it reminded him of being a teenager haha - but it really hasn't been a problem. And I'm using Natural Cycles so we only have to use condoms some of the time.

@bubblegumunicorn We got that all the time when we got married, luckily we have been married for 4 years now and people have mostly given up assuming that having a baby is top of our to-do list Wink

PumpkinsMum18 · 02/10/2018 14:06

@AlwaysaNortherner thank you, that’s good advice! I have also suffered with anxiety in the past and I have wondered if the pill was having an adverse effect in this regard. I have worked out that the earliest I could fall pregnant and still qualify for full mat pay is mid-November. So this could be a good time to come off the pill, but concieving then would be getting close to the September/October mass family birthday zone!! Spose that wouldn’t be a huge problem though, joint birthday parties are fun right?! 😂

cupcakesandglitter · 02/10/2018 14:11

Hi ladies, just thought I'd drop in to see how you're all doing? ❤️

dottydally · 02/10/2018 21:05

@Rachael321 but that is what we are here for!

@AlwaysaNortherner it is good but harder than you might think. My automatic response is to want to talk about babies and join in when people talk about their children. I only have 4 periods to go though!

Welcome @PumpkinsMum18! I will have been off contraception a year before we ttc. If you can stand condoms it is worthwhile. We don't use them all the time, tracking my cycle and making sure we pull out are helping us.

I think there is quite a lot of research on the link between the pill and anxiety and depression. It's not well publicised!

@cupcakesandglitter I am good! How are you?

I'm looking for new work clothes. Is it bad that I'm looking at things that are a little looser on the tummy so I can get away with being a bit chubbier when I do get pregnant but don't want to tell people? Blush at the minute I live in slim trousers and fairly tight tops but might have to venture into the shift dress/floaty top world! It would be really obvious if I put weight on in my current clothes.

Hi all!! I dropped off this thread for a bit when it went a little quiet but I'm glad to see its more active again. Smile

Big hello to everyone who's recently joined! I'll also re-introduce myself:

My Age: 22
Husbands Age: 24
TTC #2
Waiting until November to avoid clashing with our daughters birthday.

Well it feels amazing to actually say that I AM TTC AS OF NEXT MONTH!! 🎉🎉 I seriously can't wait. It was a whole two years ago yesterday that we found out we were expecting our now toddler. Smile I'm just so desperate to be pregnant again.

Hello @cupcakesandglitter and @dottydally, how are you both?! 💛

Tropicana1 · 03/10/2018 13:44

@dottydally I’m so glad someone else is marking the time left to TTC as how many periods there are to go haha!
I was thinking today “only 5 more periods to go until we start!” 😂

dottydally · 03/10/2018 16:39

@PastaSauceHoarder welcome back! I had also become a bit rubbish at keeping up. It's the final push for me as promotions are decided at the end of November. 8 weeks and counting. I'm worried this will renew my love for my career, but I can cross that bridge when I get to it. I definitely wouldn't be able to travel like I do now with a baby.

How are you??

@Tropicana1 yes! I have also had some weird cramping today so not quite sure what that was. It caught me out in a meeting and then I realised I had stopped listening to what people were saying Blush

PumpkinsMum18 · 03/10/2018 18:22

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome, it’s been good to hear about your plans and experiences 😊

I think I will stay on the pill until the right time to TTC. I don’t feel very confident with using the Natural cycles method and don’t think it’s worth the risk!

I’m going to my cousin’s baby shower on Saturday, will be fun but won’t help with my broody feelings! 😩

@dottydally good luck with the promotion! Hope you get what you want 🤞

cupcakesandglitter · 04/10/2018 21:26

I'm good thankyou @dottydally and @PastaSauceHoarder ... crazy to think I'm now TTC but honestly it is 1000000000 times more stressful than waiting for it was 😔 hope you're all looking after yourselves! We haven't had a natter in a while xx

PastaSauceHoarder · 04/10/2018 21:26

Wow, all I can say is good luck @dottydally! That eight weeks will definitely fly by. I've never had a proper career that offers promotions and whatnot but I imagine its a little nerve-wracking. Like @PumpkinsMum18 I also hope you get what you want! Smile
When is it you go on your work trip again, is it December?

Ahh I know what you mean @PumpkinsMum18, its my SIL's baby shower in a couple of weeks time - my broodiness meter is full to the max as it already is so god knows how I'll be after that. 😂
I can't find your first post sorry, how long are you waiting to TTC?

By the way I love all the period countdown talk. Grin

rollerskaterdata · 04/10/2018 21:26

@dottydally thanks hun, we move in a couple of weeks and I'm so nervous excited! It feels so surreal I can't believe it's actually happening after dreaming about it for so long!

Also really exciting that some of you are really close to TTC, only 4 cycles to go @dottydally! And @PastaSauceHoarder it's literally just around the corner for you! All the very best ladies x

rollerskaterdata · 04/10/2018 21:28

Oooo @cupcakesandglitter cross post! Hi hun! Hope you're doing ok too xx

cupcakesandglitter · 04/10/2018 21:31

Yes @rollerskaterdata I'm okay thanks 😊😊 are you? Xx

PastaSauceHoarder · 04/10/2018 21:33

Ahh I was afraid of that, @cupcakesandglitter! 😔 I'm terrified that I'm going to put way too much pressure on myself but I can't help it - I want to be pregnant again sooo badly!!
I just want to feel like I'm doing everything I possibly can. I've been looking into preseed lubricant actually but I'm still not 100% sure what it does. 🤔
Glad to hear you're well though! 💛 Are you full on TTC with OPK's and temping and all that jazz or just going unprotected and seeing how things go? Either way I'm wishing you a bucket full of baby dust!

PastaSauceHoarder · 04/10/2018 21:35

And thank you, @rollerskaterdata!! 💛 It feels so surreal that we're actually going to try for another baby soon!

PumpkinsMum18 · 04/10/2018 21:38

@PastaSauceHoarder we are waiting til end of January. Mainly so I can qualify for better mat leave pay and also to avoid the mass family birthday zone!

My husband, his sister, his dad, our niece, our nephew and my sister all have birthdays in September/October so trying to avoid a due date in these months! It’s getting too crowded 🤣

cupcakesandglitter · 04/10/2018 21:39

@PastaSauceHoarder from what I know about Preseed, you can sringe it in beforehand and basically it's easier for the sperm to swim to!

Urgh tell me about it!! So I'm temping and using OPKs but I'm going to be taking a step back - my routine is too crazy to temp accurately (plus I barely sleep) but I did get a positive OPK last month. First cycle we were both super focused and pressured I think because we want it so badly, so my cycle was only 24 days :( and then this cycle we were taking it easier but AF came at CD39 I think, and finished today which has made it a three/four day period where I wouldn't even need one pad a day, it's so light. (Completely the opposite to usual) I also had so many signs I was pg, even went to hospital because of pains I was having.

It's been a crazy crazy ride so far 😂😂 next cycle I'm going to stop temping, OPKs or logging anything. Just going to take it as it comes and enjoy it I think (sorry for the long post) xx

rollerskaterdata · 04/10/2018 21:44

@cupcakesandglitter I'm ok thanks hun, it's good to hear from everyone on this post again! I hope you manage to catch that eggy next month x

@PastaSauceHoarder just noticed you were asking about preseed, I'm an advocate for preseed 100% as I got pregnant first cycle using it! (that and digital OPKs). It was our second cycle trying and the month before we DTD at all the right times and nada. It's a bit pricey but I think worth it, plus is a really nice lube anyway, especially if you're a bit dry like I was with barely any EWCM to speak of! (sorry TMI! 😳)x

rollerskaterdata · 04/10/2018 21:48

@PastaSauceHoarder forgot to add it's a sperm friendly lube (other normal lubes kill sperm) and provides the perfect environment for them to swim and keep them alive. If you insert it close to your cervix before DTD then they have a really good chance of getting past your cervix and into your uterus quickly and easily

cupcakesandglitter · 04/10/2018 21:50

Ooh @rollerskaterdata I think it was you that made me look into it in the first place 😂😂 xx

PastaSauceHoarder · 04/10/2018 22:01

Oh my gosh @PumpkinsMum18, yeah, thats a lot of birthdays. 😂 That must get so expensive, I don't blame you really!!

Oh @cupcakesandglitter, how confusing for you!! It shouldn't be so bloody difficult, should it? 🙄 Fingers and toes crossed for your next cycle, de-stressing is definitely good for your fertility, right? Though of course I know thats easier said than done!

Ahh thats exactly what I like to hear, @rollerskaterdata! It seems to have fab reviews when I google it, so I think I'll definitely get myself some.
Also I think I'm the same, I've been tracking for a few months now and I don't seem to be finding a lot of EWCM... Blush

rollerskaterdata · 04/10/2018 22:03

@cupcakesandglitter 😂 oh cool! I googled it soooo much and heard so many success stories of women using it and getting pregnant first cycle using it I couldn't resist! Plus I really wasn't getting any EWCM when we were trying and having so much sex when dry was quite difficult (deffo TMI!) I felt I owed it to my lady parts at the very least 🤣

rollerskaterdata · 04/10/2018 22:05

@PastaSauceHoarder I used to get loads every month but of course when we started TTC I wasn't getting any 🙄 I would deffo recommend preseed then if you don't have much, it's a great substitute xx

PastaSauceHoarder · 04/10/2018 22:52

Hahah, well it certainly sounds beneficial then @rollerskaterdata!! 😂 I've told DH that he needs to be up for DTD twice a day every day for my fertile week so I'll definitely be feeling sore after all that! 😫😂
I'll go ahead and pick some up then for next month, thanks so much for your help! 💛

Jelliestogether · 05/10/2018 10:20

Just wanted to come back and catch up with the thread...sorry I've been so quiet for so long had lots going on at home.

If some of you remember I was just about to go on holiday....which we did and got engaged! So now we are back home trying to get into wedding planning, finishing the house and planning to ttc...nothing like all at once!
After he proposed I did have to check he didn't want to delay ttc 😂

Hi to all the new people on the thread.
Just to recap my stats:
Both 27, waiting til christmas/New year. Mainly waiting to sort some finances out, possibly go for a job promotion and to finish some of the house diy.
Finished the pill a year ago, periods still all over the place.
Have stopped using condoms and now just going with the pull out method
