Anybody else? I'm on CD16, pretty sure I ovulated over the past day or two, now for the long frustrating wait to POAS! Why is it so hard to resist for 14 measly days?!

We are TTC #2 and this is our first cycle of trying.

Morning Everyone,

@BLS1983 sorry AF showed up. When mine showed up last month I thought, clean slate, this is my month and I am NOT going to obsess about it! Easier said than done when you want something so much xx

@fae1989 all my FX for you that the HCG levels aren't high enough for you yet for a BFP!!

@LondonKez I tried telling last month and knocked it on the head. It was the thing making me obsess the most! Having to do it at the same time and taking all the factors into account. I am really trying to keep calm this TTW because my stress levels last month couldn't have done me any favours. Especially having a positive on the Tuesday, negative by the Friday and AF om Saturday... there's no way I am testing early this month after that!

@GlamourBear I've been reading some of the earlier pages when you set this thread up.. I am so happy you got your BFP.. It gives me hope!!

@Carastarchild how are you feeling, how many DPO are you?

@MrsRRC it's great you are feeling positive, definately part of the recipe for success :)

@cupcakesandglitter where are you up to in your cycle?

@ChikiTIKI I'm right behind you , CD18 4/5DPO and desperate not to start symptom spotting!

Xx

Curlywurly3 · 02/10/2018 08:30

@LondonKez temping not telling! Sorry for the spelling mistakes. Also sorry my response wasn't very helpful in regards to your question xx

Fae1989 · 02/10/2018 08:32

@Curlywurly3 - morning lovely. Hope you’re ok too? Not far off being half way through the 2WW? fingers crossed for you :) what cycle are you now?

I’m thinking if AF arrives this time I’m going to scrap all monitoring next time, it’s too stressful for me! Just going to try to DTD every other day from about CD12 and see what happens! X

TwittleBee · 02/10/2018 08:51

LondonKez broken sleep certainly affects the temping. Any sort of change (whether that be sleeping in Pjs or not, having a window open/closed, having more/less sleep or having a drink etc) will affect the temping. Best thing is to upload a pic if you can of your chart so I can have a proper look. But from what you have said, you have probably Oved if you have seen a slow increase. I wouldnt say you need to see a sharp increase (I never did and I had the classic 2/3dpo temp drop too). And as for you finding it is stressing you, that is why DH made me stop temping as I was getting stressed and over analysing everything.

TwittleBee · 02/10/2018 08:54

Fae1989 that is what we are doing this cycle, we scrapped the temping and OPKs. I am still keeping tabs on my CM though as thats easy to spot. FX AF doesn't show for you though

2 days till AF is due here. I resisted POA FRER this morning, wanna save it for Thursday when AF is due

Curlywurly3 · 02/10/2018 09:01

@fae1989 I'm on cycle 3 now. I've had my 2 cycles of stressing, temping, POAS, desperately trying to symptom spot. It took over my life and made me miserable! I am still using my app, that's actually been really useful. I now know I have a 25 day cycle, I seem to ovulate 13 days after AF and my next AF arrives 12 days after that. This Is my 3rd cycle with ovulation happening 13 days after AF so I'm due 10th October, the day before my birthday (I thought it was due on my birthday but I've just looked at my app properly, it's quite interesting working it all out!)

You're a day late aren't you so this might still be it.. I really hope it is!! Xxx

LottieB87 · 02/10/2018 09:03

@cupcakesandglitter Ah yes that is a difficult chart to read! I see why you're frustrated! Sorry I'm not familiar with the interface, does the Ovul. row show when you had a +opk? Or is it predicted ovulation based on dates? Also I thought I'd mention I've been using Headspace (meditation app) and it's really helping my sleep and stress levels. I recommend it! It's £6/mo subscription which is really good, there's so much content (a lot of meditation tracks specifically for sleep too).

Also it's expensive but I've read good things about the Ava bracelet which takes a lot of the stress out of BBT tracking.

@LondonKez can you post your chart? Personally my temp rises over the course of 2 days. Some people it shoots straight up, some people have a slower rise but it's not necessarily a problem. Remember you need 3 temps above the coverline to confirm O. Tomorrow's temp may give you a clearer picture. I know it's stressful. Did you have an OPK positive yesterday? Which OPK? I would say just get an extra BD in today just to make sure you're covered then you're all good Grin

@Fae1989 Sorry for the BFN again.. fingers crossed, you're still in! Massive hugs.

@ChikiTIKI Hoping it's a sign for you!

@GlamourBear So good to see that strong line!!

AF nearly gone now, will O on 8th or 9th so going to try and BD every day from Thurs 4th. DP doesn't know this yet. But he will. Grin

Curlywurly3 · 02/10/2018 09:03

Ah good luck @TwittleBee! FX for you Smile what cycle are you on? X

LottieB87 · 02/10/2018 09:12

Also another thing about the Ava bracelet, I've noticed they sell second hand on ebay for pretty close to their RRP - there's one which is at £225 right now still with a day left - they sell for £249 brand new, so could very well work out super cheap if you keep it good nick and resell.

cupcakesandglitter · 02/10/2018 09:35

@LottieB87 it is difficult - although the last week has actually been a hell of a lot easier to read! Today my temp was 36.04, and I've definitely had enough sleep - so it still hasn't dropped. Did have some light watery spotting yesterday so expected AF today but nothing at all.

It shows ov on the 9th - confirmed with a + OPK on the 8th, lots of ECWM (which I never usually get) and a small temp drop too x

I've looked at the AVA bracelet - it is definitely expensive, but I have considered getting one. I don't think I'll get it soon though, I think I'll wait a few more cycles because I'm thinking about taking a break from everything for a month and seeing how it goes...

And I think you've mentioned the app to me before 😊 I've started slowly first with some YouTube videos, and DH said he'll start yoga with me too - I have a hectic schedule so it can be hard to fit time in to actually relax x

TwittleBee · 02/10/2018 10:33

Curlywurly3 thank you! Not sure how many cycles now but I know this month marks 1 year of TTC. If no luck by Xmas we will be off to the GP. Just grateful we have 1 DS already. Interesting to read how you too found charting stressful, you are right though, it is at least useful for getting to know your cycles (I know mine now vary from 26-30 days in length, averaging around 27 days though)

Flossytots · 02/10/2018 11:08

@fae that has been my approach this cycle, I’m not monitoring for the sake of my sanity 😂😂 no opk poas just dtd every other day and I’m not buying anymore hpt. I’m only going to test after missed AF. I have found that’s it’s really helped, I’m not looking out for any symptoms and I’m not as stressed out 😂

Curlywurly3 · 02/10/2018 12:16

@TwittleBee this is only my 3rd cycle but it is going so quickly (can't say the same for the TWW) I hope this is your month. This will by my first baby and I'm 34 next week.. makes me nervous!
I haven't done any charting as such, the app I was talking about is Natural Cycles. I add in AF and positive OPK which allows me to look at the trends..Sounds very business like! I did used to add in temperatures but I've stopped that now

Fae1989 · 02/10/2018 13:24

@TwittleBee - Hello! Couldn't agree with you more, I think it definitely takes the pressure off. Good luck for testing day! I think you're right in waiting as close as possible to AF being due. It can be so disappointing getting these negatives! Good luck, really hope this is your month, keep us posted :)

@Curlywurly3 - it can get so stressful can't it!? It's definitely good to be in touch with your cycle and patterns etc. I think there's a balance between being knowledgeable and knowing too much (which causes the stress haha!)

@LottieB87 - Thank you lovely. It's the not knowing that's getting to me, my cycle is never late :/ how are you? Where in your cycle are you now?

@Cupcakesandglitter - let us know how you get on! Was AF due now for you as well?

@Flossytots - I like your thinking, I think it's a really good way to be. HPTs get expensive and there's too much urge to use them. Then comes the disappointment! I am taking all pressure off and it happens when it happens :)

Hope everyone's okay this afternoon? No sign of AF yet, no cramps (which are my usual pre-cursor to her delightful arrival). Will see how the rest of the week pans out and maybe re-test at the weekend. I'm definitely not wasting any more money on tests now!
x

LondonKez · 02/10/2018 13:30

@Curlywurly3 @LottieB87 @TwittleBee thanks ladies! I'll post a picture of my chart when I get home.
Tempings been relatively easy to keep on top of as I get up at the same time every day, but it's the analysis of the chart that stressed me. I think I need to just record my temp and not look at the chart!

I only started temping and using OPKs because after 8 cycles of nothing I decided to become more proactive in checking that ovulation did actually happen. We probably DTD every 2 days most weeks so I didn't think timing was an issue. Second month into it, and I think I'll be stopping next month if AF arrives!

@cupcakesandglitter if you have Spotify, they have some great meditation podcasts too

@TwittleBee this is our 10th month. Also planning to go to the GP by Christmas. I really hope we get our positives before then 💖

cupcakesandglitter · 02/10/2018 13:43

@Fae1989 I will do 😊 I am on CD40 atm, AF should've started last week Monday!

@LondonKez thankyou, I've been converted over to Apple Music but I'm sure I can find something similar too! Xx

Flossytots · 02/10/2018 16:02

@londonkez it makes sense to temp and get a feel of what’s going on. I now have an idea of the ovulation window, that’s how Ive taken this approach 🤞. @Fae is right about knowledge being power and that sometimes it can be too much. Last cycle I would spend so much time going through threads and reading up symptoms for the following post ovulation date 😂😂 Just glad we are in this together to voice out these thoughts and share ideas 😊✨✨✨✨

ChikiTIKI · 02/10/2018 16:37

Sorry AF came @BLS1983. After you had held out on testing too how frustrating! Hopefully next month is your month.

@GlamourBear I think I could test from Tuesday or Wednesday next week when AF is due but actually thinking of delaying it until the following week, if AF hasn't shown up already. The reason being that we are having a lot of family come and stay for birthday celebrations and I don't want a BFN to put me on a downer that I don't want to talk about. Also if it's a BFP I am sure I will be very happy but want to just enjoy the news with my husband. I am not totally sure how I will react to a BFP either since I have PTSD from first birth. I will be happy but terrified and can't predict how I will feel. Don't want to ruin the birthday vibes! Xxx also my family will find pregnancy tests even if we'll hidden and I don't want to tell anyone in real life if I'm pregnant until as late as possible! Xxx

ChikiTIKI · 02/10/2018 17:37

@ CurlyWurly when are you going to test? Xxx

cupcakesandglitter · 02/10/2018 17:41

Hi ladies, I think AF is here for me. A hell of a lot lighter than usual (I'm usually SUPER heavy) and still watery when I wipe but I think she's here so I'm out for this month 😩 considering going to the doctor to see why my cycles are so whacky x

cupcakesandglitter · 02/10/2018 17:48

Aaaaand I've just wiped and it's now pink and my pad was pretty much clear. Anyone had anything like this before? 😂

Fae1989 · 02/10/2018 18:13

Just catching up!

@LondonKez - It's definitely getting the right balance between being proactive and not stressing over everything for me. Totally get where you're coming from if you were unsuccessful after that amount of time though. I really hope you get your BFP before Christmas, I have everything crossed for you :)

@Cupcakesandglitter - How confusing for you! I'm sorry :( pink doesn't sound like AF though? When did you last test? Are your cycles normally regular? (Sorry for all the questions).

@ChikiTIKI - good luck for when you decide to test :) I know exactly what you mean with finding out results though, it definitely changes your mood!

No sign of AF in town for me still, I've had some weird CM (looks almost like EWCM but not quite) anyone else had this after a missed period before? What the hell are our bodies doing to some of us this month?!
x

cupcakesandglitter · 02/10/2018 18:21

@Fae1989 that's okay 😊 so I tested last on Sunday and it was a BFN. I had brown spotting yesterday, nothing major whatsoever - had a couple of red spots today, not enough to fill a pad or anything (but I've been wearing one for the last week because I was sure she's coming 😂). Thought I'd started AF anyway as it's red... went to the loo and nope, it's watery and pink! Weird because of how heavy I usually am, but I'm thinking maybe AF will come into full force tomorrow? Xx

Fae1989 · 02/10/2018 18:24

@cupcakesandglitter - that is so odd! Maybe see how you go on tomorrow and then make an appointment with your GP? X

Carastarchild · 02/10/2018 18:28

Glamour what a beautiful strong line 🤗 I am absolutely delighted for you 💜

BLS sorry that AF arrived for you. Be kind to yourself. Fx October will bring you a BFP!

Just catching up with everyone else 💖💜💖

Fae sorry you got a BFN, but hang in there. Hopefully you just tested too soon 💖
