TWW begins...stop me POAS every day!

Anybody else? I'm on CD16, pretty sure I ovulated over the past day or two, now for the long frustrating wait to POAS! Why is it so hard to resist for 14 measly days?!

We are TTC #2 and this is our first cycle of trying.

Hope everyone's ok! Busy weekend which is good for distracting from constantly checking again and again how dpo I am as if it'll magically increase somehow.. haha. 9dpo today. Holding out for AF on Friday.. I will.. I will be strong!! You ladies are my witnesses!!

@Carastarchild hope you're having a lovely time! Not jealous at all here in rainy London.. nope.. hehe. My friend bought a fertility monitor after ttc for 2 years. She thought she was out for the month because she'd gotten a BFN at 10dpo and bought it. Days later found out she was pregnant and never used it! So apparently it's so powerful it causes spontaneous pregnancy.. lol! Hope you come home to a BFP!

@Fae1989 good luck for Friday! (I think that's your CD25?) AF is due for me that day. So exciting!! FX for you!!

Looks like next weekend is going to be a big one for all of us!

By the way, I followed a recommendation and started taking starflower oil (like evening primrose but higher GLA content) this month and noticed a lot more EWCM. It started a day earlier than normal as well. Also differently this month I had a couple of days flashy smileys which I've never got before, it went straight to peak or flashed in the morning and went peak in the evening (I test twice a day when it starts flashing). So both of those facts would support the theory it helps with estrogen production. I started taking it CD1 and stopped as soon as I'd O'd, apparently it can cause uterine contractions which I wouldn't want happening in the TWW! It works best with other omega supplements (I take wellwoman plus as well which has an omega 3-6-9 capsule). I was surprised at the difference it made the second month taking it (the first month it just made my boobs hurt.. hmm).

@Carastarchild - thanks for the head's up re the fertility monitor! Will definitely check that out (maybe after payday haha!)

@LottieB87 - Hello! Hope you've had a nice weekend :) glad it's been a busy one for you, helps take your mind off the 2WW doesn't it?!

It does sound like next week is the one. I was tempted to hold off testing as I thought I'd ovulated later, but my cycles are pretty regular so Friday is the earliest I'll try. That's interesting re starflower oil, will definitely check that out. It sounds like it's best to take it up to ovulation and then stop, do you think? Need to look into Omega 3 as well but I'm veggie so a trip to Holland and Barrett might be in order!

Fingers crossed for us all this weekend, hopefully AF decides she needs a 9 month holiday ;)

@carastarchild I fell pregnant the first month I used a clear blue monitor. If we don't get a bfp this month I'm going to invest in one again as I bought see cheapie ones but they just aren't easy to read!

Is anybody symptom spotting loads yet? I've started getting symptoms but not getting too excited as I got them last month and AF came! So almost thinking I'm out as I have sore boobs starting to appear!

I'm due AF on 1st and have some internet cheapies on the way.

Hoping my phone doesn't start playing up again as I really enjoy this forum but haven't been able to get on with all the phone/internet issues we've had 😩

In other news..... Christmas Eve is 3 months today!! (Sorry 😂)

I find symptoms so confusing! I recently started getting sore boobs and had them when we conceived too but this month nothing (and tmi but they have been really bad in recent months) and AF due at start of October. But then I read sometimes sore boobs/no sore boobs could be pregnancy or it could be the our bodies just skipping this symptom or gearing up for AF (rise in progesterone is normal either way?!) are you getting any other symptoms?

When do you thInk you’ll test? Hope your internet gets better!

Haha at least Christmas is something to focus on (maybe in November!!) x

Hey @Fae1989 I'm good thank you, how are you doing? They had them on offer in Boots when I popped in over the weekend but I don't want to invest just in case!

Same here, I never had sore boobs before AF until a few months ago which is odd! I did get them in early pregnancy with DC1 but I don't remember having them before I knew.

I've also had some cramps but I had them last month a week or so before AF was due, so in my head I'm discounting everything as pg symptoms.

I'll be tempted to test the second the tests land through my letter box 😂 no point pretending I'll be strong, I'm a poas addict 🙋

When are you planning on testing?

Argh me too it's doing my head in! It's ridiculous how much you rely on the internet isn't it!

You’re in good company (being a POAS addict haha!) this symptom thing is confusing me. It looks like our bodies can show AF or BFP is coming with either sore boobs or not (which helps nothing haha!) you’ve not got too long to wait to test if AF is due on the 1st (seems a lot of us are due round that time!) I am trying to wait until Friday but don’t want to be disappointed at work so Saturday could be a better option!

We definitely rely on the internet more than we realise haha!

Don’t be sorry, I’m the same but I only get excited once I’ve got all my presents and it’s all sorted and then I can relax haha!

@Fae1989 I can't remember sorry, I just saw they were at the top of the shelf with a big red label where they put the offers!

I'll try to wait then, but can't make any promises! It's nice we are all due similar times it makes it a little easier knowing others are in the same situation. We need lots of BFPs this month!

Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a good day! So after the terrible week I had of symptoms and a positive to getting no line by the end of the week, I had a blood test the day before my AF arrived and it was HGC 4. It has to be 5 to be classed as a pregnancy so I don't really know what happened there. Anyway, new month and I've just got a flashy smiley face I'm CD10 today and this ovulation pack picks up LH 2 days before peak fertility, practising the BD already so let's see.. x

@Curlywurly fx this is your month! How is everybody today? I'm having really similar symptoms to last month which is making me lose hope a bit already. Sore boobs a week before AF and some light cramping. Trying to keep positive though, got some ic due to arrive over the next couple of days so I'll test when they arrive :-)
