Anybody else? I'm on CD16, pretty sure I ovulated over the past day or two, now for the long frustrating wait to POAS! Why is it so hard to resist for 14 measly days?!

We are TTC #2 and this is our first cycle of trying.

Hi all! So the test this morning was bfn, but no real sign of af yet so just waiting to see over the next few days... Sunday and yesterday I had cramps and yesterday also headache and a bit 'odd' in the morning (like light headed almost?) Probably reading too much into it! Feel fine this morning so far.
Anyway, good luck to all and have a nice day! Xx

Fae1989 · 18/09/2018 08:14

@FluffyGodzilla - ooh not long to wait now though! Fingers crossed :)

I know what you mean with symptoms, it’s hard when you get really similar symptoms but it might be a sign if you don’t normally get them til AF is due!

Keep us posted. Think we all need a BFP to keep us going!! X

LottieB87 · 18/09/2018 08:39

@FluffyGodzilla I am due AF on 28th, day after you! Welcome to the thread. Good luck!

@Flossytots arrggh I hope things level out for you soon!

@LondonKez sorry she got you, happy birthday for next week and enjoy the wedding!

@Fae1989 Hi!! I hope your efforts pay off, FX for you! Welcome to the wonderful TWW! I am 4dpo. Have mentally counted myself out this month for some reason (I think because we only DTD once) so I don't seem to be symptom spotting or eager to test at all. Perhaps the bug will get me again.. I was mega hopeful last month and it crushed my spirit a bit.

@FivexFive I would say it's too early to test, if your peak was Sun, it's likely the earliest you might have O'd is Sun, if not Mon, which makes you 9dpo max I think. It is possible to get a BFP but you're more likely to get a false negative at this point. But don't let me stop you!! And mega FX for you!

Flossytots · 18/09/2018 11:55

Ohhh AF got me 😔

Anyway onwards and upwards. @londonkeZ sorry she got you too. I’m also going to detox over the next few weeks. Clean eating, cutting out sugar, no drinking and working out.

Fingers crossed to those testing today 🤞✨✨✨✨

Curlywurly3 · 18/09/2018 13:50

@flossy and @LondonKez sorry AF got you. Postive thoughts for our next cycle.

@Lottie we are all rooting for you!

I'm on CD4 and I've just realised the first day of my missed AF in October will be my birthday! That will definately help me not to test early!

@londonKez Enjoy the next few weeks, your birthday and the wedding :) x

Carastarchild · 18/09/2018 18:29

I ovulated today 🤗🤗🤗 we dtd O-4, O-2, and O. Hoping to dtd again in the morning just in case. My opks were positive yesterday and now no longer. We used the preseed today. I inserted 1g 15 minutes before dtd. Everything was fine until I stumbled upon a video on YouTube saying it's actually not good for sperm 😢😢😢 I actually felt like crying thinking we had made the wrong decision to use it. I guess I will know in two weeks either way. I actually felt so fragile in that moment 😟

Just reading back now. I hope all you ladies are doing well 🌟💖🌟

Fae1989 · 18/09/2018 18:34

@carastarchild - yay for ovulation! Welcome to the 2WW! Ah don’t beat yourself up about that, I’m sure it’s fine. It is upsetting when you try so hard and then someone says it’s not right but it sounds to me like you’re doing everything correctly :) it’s a frustrating time! Hope you’re okay now :)

Fingers crossed for you!
X

Fae1989 · 18/09/2018 18:35

Sorry to the ladies that AF got this month!

I have everything crossed for you for next time :)

AnxiousBetty · 18/09/2018 19:11

Sorry @LondonKez and @Flossytots that AF got you. Lots of baby dust for next month! ❤️

Good luck @Carastarchild for this time! Back to the terrible TWW!

Do any of you ladies know when white creamy cm (TMI sorry) is normal in the cycle? I had a small amount in my underwear this evening

Carastarchild · 18/09/2018 20:03

Thanks Faye and Betty Flowers

Sorry AF arrived London and Flossy I am gutted for both of you Sad

Flossy I am going to do the same. I will post a green smoothie recipe when I get home. I am out for a walk to help ground my energy

Flossytots · 18/09/2018 20:24

Good luck to you @lottie and @carastar sending loads of baby dust ✨✨✨✨✨✨@betty I’m not sure about cm but I’m quite interested to know the answer @curly I’m keeping my fingers crossed for your birthday BFP! @londonkez hope you have a great birthday and enjoy your sisters wedding 🎉

@carastar I will be interested in that recipe, I will also look up some nice recipes for us all.

Carastarchild · 18/09/2018 22:38

Betty I usually get creamy mucus a few days after AF finishes. I then get it after ovulation for a while as well.

Flossy I took a screenshot of recipe a while back. I literally have so many pictures in my phone that I can't find it right now.

Fae how many dpo are you? It's great to hear from you again. I am not after even starting the tww and I am freaking out already....my walk helped to put things into perspective. DH is cool as a cucumber 😎 Not a worry in the world.

Five I would hold off for a few days and wait until you are 12 dpo. You are more likely to get a more accurate result. Saying that if you find it helps to poas go for it. I now how hard it is when all you want to do is find out.

Carastarchild · 18/09/2018 22:41

@Flossy I know the smoothie I made a few weeks ago had celery, lime, spinach, green apple and cucumber in it.

I usually make a banana and blueberries smoothie, or strawberry, kiwi and banana one 😋

Fae1989 · 19/09/2018 07:22

@carastarchild - lovely to hear from you too! I’m 2 dpo and just trying to take my mind off it! I’m panicking because I didn’t get any pains this month and we only DTD leading up to ovulation and not on the day so I’m not holding out much hope :/

You’re so right, going for a walk can definitely help! I don’t know how men do it, maybe the lack of hormones helps them stay more chilled?

Curlywurly3 · 19/09/2018 07:44

I've noticed all these sites are 99.9% women stressed, worried, needing advice, feeling hopeful...

Do you think there is some secret site for men where they are doing the same?! WinkGrin

It really does go to show our maternal instinct is beyond our loved ones comprehension!

FX and baby dust to us all! Xx

Fae1989 · 19/09/2018 08:49

@Curlywurly - I know exactly what you mean! I don’t know whether they just worry less or whether they just handle it differently? My partner’s attitude seems to be ‘it happens when it happens’. I wish I was like that!!

Carastarchild · 19/09/2018 18:31

Fae we put in a real effort this month ttc. I know what you are saying, as that is exactly what happened to me last month. Saying that my friend said that is exactly how she got pregnant. She dtd 4 days before ovulation and got pregnant. If it's meant to be it will be I guess. That's what I told myself last night.

Curly I was wondering the same myself! I guess we are more emotionally invested in the situation and we have strong hormonal urges to get pregnant.

Does anyone else get a feeling in their ovaries the day after ovulation? I am very aware of my right ovary right now, even though I know I definitely ovulated yesterday. I get ovulation pain every month in some shape or form. Perhaps I am just a sensitive soul.

LondonKez · 19/09/2018 19:29

Evening ladies, happy hump.day!

@carastarchild I get all sorts of strange ovulation pains. I can always feel which side it is too. It's funny because I came off the pill almost 2 years ago (thought it was last Nov, but DP pointed out it was the year before!) and had never noticed them until I started tracking my cycle.

@curlywurly3 @fae1989 I wonderd this too, although DP and I take it in turns each month to be the anxious, stressy and generally negative one! DP has always wanted kids. I knew I did, but didn't feel financially stable enough. It was as I got 31 that I realised that it's unlikely I'll ever feel financially stable enough and told him I was ready to try. Never have I seen him happier or more excited!

Fae1989 · 19/09/2018 19:40

@LondonKez - ah that’s so lovely! I know what you mean, I feel like we could wait forever and never really know if we are financially stable enough! Fingers crossed for some positives for us all soon :)

I am very confused this evening and could do with some advice if you ladies don’t mind? I stopped using the cheapy OPKs cause I was rubbish and I just used an app to work out when I ovulated (which it said was the 17th) but I was curious and did a test today and it looks positive!? I’m scared I haven’t ovulated yet :/ has anyone else had this?

Thank you :)

TWW begins...stop me POAS every day!
Fae1989 · 19/09/2018 19:42

@carastarchild - I really hope your efforts pay off! Fingers crossed :) it will happen for us all I’m sure, it’s just the waiting and hoping that can get difficult.

ChikiTIKI · 19/09/2018 20:12

Sorry to those AF has caught in the last few days :(

I'm CD14 and feeling sharp pain on right side, think I might be ovulating or about to ovulate.

Was going to have sex every second day as I heard that's better but had sex yesterday and thinking we should do it again tonight since I've suddenly got what I think are ovulation pains.

There's no way to stay calm is there?! :)

Carastarchild · 19/09/2018 20:13

Fae is that an opk or a pregnancy test????? Either way it's positive....omg.

London there will never be a perfect time to have a child. My mom said if she had waited for the most perfect set of circumstances, they possibly it would never have come....that's why I felt like taking a leap of faith with my first, and it worked out...it always has.

Fae1989 · 19/09/2018 20:16

ChikiTIKI - Good luck :) I read online that it doesn't matter too much whether it's every other day or every day if that helps? Fingers crossed for you!

Carastarchild - it's an OPK. I'm seriously confused! Has anyone had a positive OPK after ovulation! I'm scared I am ovulating later. Does anyone know roughly how long after a positive you ovulate? I can't get my head round the idea of ovulating on day 16/17!

Carastarchild · 19/09/2018 20:18

Fae how do you know you ovulated first time round?

Carastarchild · 19/09/2018 20:20

Fae the app is just an estimated date. The opk is actually testing your urine for LH, which triggers ovulation...typically you will ovulate 24-36 hours after a positive opk!!! You still have a chance...no wonder you didn't get any pains Grin
