TTC baby #1 journey

Hiya,

This is our first cycle ttc and I thought it would be brilliant to chat to ladies who are currently in the same position and support each other’s journeys...I’m 15dpo and AF is one day late but giving her a chance to appear before testing. I’m feeling chilled about it but the tww does feel like forever!
For context I’ve been off all contraception for over a year, have been tracking my cycles on an app, find that I’m usually spot on 28 days but took a while to get there post implant and EWCM and ovulation cramps appear at the same time the app says that I’m ovulating. I haven’t started temping or charting but may do in a few months. Would love to hear your circumstances!

The obsessive testing hasn't stopped here, I'm doing a pg test twice a day at the mo to see if my line gets any darker today is the day AF would have been due so lucky to have had bfp's already I guess

This is my first cycle ttc as well, and i'm so happy to have come across this thread, i don't think my DH really understands how i'm feeling.
I'm 4 dpo so i still have along wait ahead of me!

Last year i had a molor pregnancy and several large cysts so i'm really anxious about everything!

I bet your beside yourself with excitement I'd be the same POAS twice a day!

@Darma87 I've had sore boobs for 13 days now and no AF I did a test last week and it was as negative as can be so I think I'm out can't waif for AF to arrive I can't do with another moan or long cycle again!

Welcome @milly2000 forgive me but I have never heard of a molar pregnancy? We will keep you company during your wait 😊

That was officially cycle 11 but stopped contraception about 18 months ago.

Iv not tested so far today - I'm pretty sure six positives is enough to be getting on with. Not many symptoms other tiredness and dry mouth a lot need to get a move on and get registered with a local GP as mine is still in my home town

''A molar pregnancy is where a foetus doesn't form properly in the womb and a baby doesn't develop.

A lump of abnormal cells grows in the womb instead of a healthy foetus.

This growth is called a "hydatidiform mole", which can be either:

a complete mole, where there's a mass of abnormal cells in the womb and no foetus develops
a partial mole,where an abnormal foetus starts to form, but it can't survive or develop into a baby
A molar pregnancy can usually be treated with a simple procedure to remove the growth of cells from the womb, but cells are sometimes left over and further treatment is needed to remove them.''

Was an awful experience and meant i had to stop ttc for 12 months, but at last we are able to start again, trying to stay positive!

Oh that must have been a really tough time for you, so glad that's behind you now! Well 12 months is a good amount of time for your body to heal and regulate. Are you temping? Charting? Or just the good old seeing what happens for now?

I'm using the clearblue advanced fertility monitor, I've upgraded month from the old monitor. This is the only way I've figured out I can check if I'm ovulating, I tried the temping as I work shifts I found it hard to do it at the same time every day!

How is everyone else getting on?

This month very much just seeing what happens. I use the Flo app on my phone but apart from that nothing.

Next month if we aren't lucky this month I'm going to give the clear blue ovulation sticks a go and see how we get on.

It's funny how we spend such along time avoiding pregnancy in our lives and then when it comes to it it's never as easy as we thought lol

I was petrified in my 20's of it being so easy they don't teach you all this in school 😂

AF arrived late last night for me so another cycle begins for me, honestly though I'm just happy it's arrived in 42 days! I use Flo too easy to use and not too many options to symptom spot!!

Hi girls 👋🏻 I hope you’re all well. I’m feeling a bit blue tonight so thought I’d send in a little message. That’s now 2 of my best friends announced they’re second pregnancies and a girl I know who got married in the summer announcing her pregnancy so she must’ve fallen pregnant almost immediately. I remember meeting with her a few months before she got married and her telling me they would be planning on trying for children soon after, at that point we’d already been trying for 4 months and now, 7 months after that, she’s 3 months gone and I’m still 0 months. It’s funny because the longer it goes on, the less I care in a way, I’m now at the point where I’m not even trying anymore but I feel a bit bitter about other people and that’s outrageous. Always said I’d plan on seeing the doctor in January but not sure I can even be bothered with that anymore, if it’s not meant to be, it’s not meant to be. Will maybe just wait until my birthday in March and I edge closer to my mid-thirties before seeing them. 😏

Morning ladies! Another AF done for me so cycle 8 can really get going now. BFP would be the week before Xmas so FX this is the one that sticks! @milly2000 - welcome to the board, I had never heard of a molar pregnancy either, it is crazy how little we often know about pregnancy before we start trying. Cant imagine how that must have been, sucks that you had to go through that but good work on positivity! I'm 9 months of trying now and it's been an emotional rollercoaster but when I shared how I was feeling with DP and the stress and pressure I was putting on myself he's been really supportive and understanding.
@MissG2MrsB I have 2 sisters who both got pregnant without trying from one time of missing contraception. Also a close friend just announced she's pregnant too. Easier said that done but try not to feel too down, drink all the wine and try to enjoy sexy times, without the tracking! I have a friend who started trying at 40, she went to the docs after trying for a while and they had a look into her tubes (i think it involved some water flush) and in effect opened them up if there were blockages, she got pg straight after.

2nd month ttc for baby number 1. Partner of 11 years has always said he didn’t want children, 2 months ago he changed his mind, so exciting times ahead. Hopefully.
Had mirena coil for 4 years so had it out end of September bled twice last month 14 day cycle from start of one period to the next but it would appear to have settled down this month currently on day 16 of cycle unless I’m already pregnant, haha, unlikely,
My husband works nights so we only have the weekends to ttc.

Hi all,

I took my first test this morning. My periods aren't regular so difficult to know if I've missed a period or not.

I was told if I the BFP line was grey it was a negative line. I'm sure it's blue but scared to get hopeful.

What do you think?

@milly2000 - that looks like a very clear positive to me! I've heard people say the pink dye tests might be better so I'd try with a first response early one. If you can resist I'd give it a day or 2 to be sure. Fingers crossed for you!

Checking in as I kick off my next TWW, only managed to DTD twice in the fertile window but I'm hopeful we timed them well. Everyone else doing ok? Long time trying for quite a few of us so hope no-one is too dejected by it all x

Looks like I'll be rejoining you guys soon, been diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy at 6 weeks

It's been the toughest 5 days of our life but it's not going to deter us from trying again xxx

@HallowsandHorcruxes I'm so sorry, heartbroken for you and your other half. TTC can be so unfair, such a turbulent journey for some and the easiest for others. I'm glad this is such an open place for us to share the reality of our journeys together xx

Hey Everyone, AF got me yesterday so no luck for me. Kinda had a feeling this was going to be my month so pretty down about it. At least xmas break is coming up so I can let go of work stress and plan in plenty time to DTD!!

Currently playing the waiting game too @Darma87 strange isn't it when you are hopeful but you just have a gut feeling the AF will be coming in the next week.. good luck for the next cycle

How are all? I just wanted to give you all some hope, me and Hubby have been trying a year, I purchased the clearblue advanced fertility monitor and turns out we were BD'ing at the wrong time, this morning with normal PMS symptoms I tried the test and it was positive..

These last 12 months I ace been stalking threads and never found out if anyone's efforts paid off! Let's hope it's a sticky bean hand I'll keep stalking this thread to de your good news 🎄🎄
