Hiya,

This is our first cycle ttc and I thought it would be brilliant to chat to ladies who are currently in the same position and support each other’s journeys...I’m 15dpo and AF is one day late but giving her a chance to appear before testing. I’m feeling chilled about it but the tww does feel like forever!
For context I’ve been off all contraception for over a year, have been tracking my cycles on an app, find that I’m usually spot on 28 days but took a while to get there post implant and EWCM and ovulation cramps appear at the same time the app says that I’m ovulating. I haven’t started temping or charting but may do in a few months. Would love to hear your circumstances!

Hey! I'm CD 16 now, should be in ovulation window according to Ovia but no smileys just yet on the CBD opks. DP heading off on a boy's trip for a long weekend fri so hope I don't miss it! Anyone else with an update?

@Nataliej1984 - any sign of AF?

None at all @Darma87 I'm currently trying to loosed weight and exercise gently, eating almonds, dates and generally eating better but nothing! I took a test on Saturday and could swear I seen a line but did another on Sunday FMU and it could not have been more negative. CD 114 now, I'm not sure what else to try and bring her on. I've never wanted to see it so much 🤦🏼‍♀️

AF is due today for me, nothing so far but was definitely bloated etc yesterday.

Tested a few times but all BFN's if no AF tomorrow then I'll test again but not looking likely for us this cycle x

How are you tracking your ovulation @HallowsandHorcruxes ? Are you ever sure if you have? That's one thing that is a mystery to me, I have no idea if I do or don't!? how do you ladies know you are ovulating?

@Nataliej1984 I use the clearblue ov tests (the advanced digital one) from around CD 10 - they have worked pretty well for me and iv always had my 'high' and 'peak' fertility readings.
I started temping just there too which pretty much confirmed what the test readings were which is good to know.
I have apps but pretty much just use these to log info as there predictions aren't that accurate for me.

@Darma87 I use Ovia too but have never found it particularly accurate with my fertile window and my AF date is always a couple of days out, I like the app though, I use it to log info mainly

@HallowsandHorcruxes I started just with Ovia alone but after 6 cycles Im the same now and only really using it to log info. Hopefully now I've started with the OPKs I can figure out when I'm actually ovulating and get a bit less stressed trying to figure out when AF I'd due to show after my last long cycle! @Nataliej1984 - fingers crossed it comes soon!

TTC baby #1, cycle #2. According to my apps I should be ovulating today, Friday or Saturday. Using OPKs, clear blue and cheapy ones, but no positive yet. Trying to DTD every second day until we get a +ve on the OPK, then we'll try daily for 2 days. That's the plan anyway! AF due around 6th Oct.

Hey ladies I am trying to get pregnant! I am currently on day 50 of cuticle with a whole load of negative pregnancy tests in my bin I have all the symptoms and have been trying for over 2 years now

I might have to try the CB ovulation sticks @HallowsandHorcruxes all this waiting for AF has made me wonder if I've even started ovulation since BC. I think I have a long cycle so I'll start from around day 10 next cycle.

I was using Ovia since January but it made me obsessive especially looking at my cycle days, so I've stopped for now until my cycle comes back I'm going for the "relaxed" approach, by this I mean only driving myself mad and not DH too 😆

Wow 2 years and a CD 50 do you normally have long cycles @P123456 ?

My longest cycle has been 40 days , I just feel so anxious now and my symptoms are making me feel so low I can’t seem to wear anything without just wanting to take it off and sit in pjs

I’m feeling like my body’s playing a joke on me just now and getting really fed up. Started TTC in January and since then my cycle has been around 33/34 days with the longest being 38 days. Got my first positive opk test last month which made me realise I was ovulating later than I expected. Got another positive opk earlier this cycle and had a bit of spotting 8-9 days later which I was quite excited about but now I’m still getting spotting 2 days later so I actually think it’s AF just gradually appearing but just over a week after ovulating and around 5 days earlier than usual, I honestly feel like she’s having a laugh! 👊🏻 So sorry to hear @Nataliej1984 about the length of your cycle, I can’t imagine how frustrating that would be! 😢

Finally got a positive OPK this morning at CD 13. The line wasn't too strong but it was there. I tested at 6pm last night and there was nothing, then at 6am this morning there's a faint line. Hoping when I test after work today using the clear blue OPK I'll get a smiley. Planning on DTD today, tomorrow and Sunday to give us the best chance.

If you got a positive opk today would you record in your app you ovulated today? I wasn't sure because it's technically a surge and from what I've read you don't actually ovulate for 12-48 hours. Anyone any ideas? TIA 💕

It's good that you now your ovulating and your seeing your peaks! Your not out until she shows up! We have been trying since January too I'm trying to keep cool and remember it takes time x

*know Sorry tia my message didn't post last night, I would record it on your app as ovulation if you get a smiley tonight, it's all guess work anyway as long as you BD you've done everything you can x

@MissG2MrsB and @feverbee good work on getting the positive OPKs! I'm CD 20 and still no positive OPKs so bracing myself for another long cycle DP is now away for 5 days so I'm sure it will come then
@P123456 have you been tracking ovulation? I've just ordered a thermometer and some cheap OPKs since I seem to have to use so many!

@Darma87, it’s so annoying how much relies on timing isn’t it? If there’s a reason why you miss that window, it’s a whole month wiped out! @feverbee that’s a good point, I haven’t used any apps so I’m not sure when you’d put it in but I’m assuming you would do it the day you got your positive test. When I first got mine though, I got a light line on day 20, nothing on day 21 and a really strong line on day 22 and day 23 so I’d record day 22 if I was using an app (I think). I’ve been getting spotting for 4 days now and AF isn’t due until tomorrow. So annoyed with myself, I always said I would never do a test until after I’d missed my period so I was pretty sure the next test would be positive, but felt I had to do one today because I have a night out tonight and want to know if I can have a drink. As standard, I’m staring at another negative test! I was okay this month, we didn’t DTD as often as we should’ve (due to work etc) so I kind of knew we’d be unlikely to conceive and I’d made peace with that, if AF arrived tomorrow as planned, I’d genuinely have been okay, but to start spotting a week after ovulation when I’m not pregnant just seems cruel and unnecessary! Even my DH was starting to be optimistic because it’s the only sign I’ve ever had since TTC 9 months ago. Anyway, rant over, I’ll just need to enjoy my pink gin tonight. @MissG2MrsB sure enough I got my first flashing smiley today on CD21 with DP not back until Weds! Hopefully if we DTD that day it will still count... My cycle was pretty eveil last time, spotting at exact time it should have been IB but it turns out it was a super late ovulation for me and so caused some spotting, such a constant mind f*!!!

Hi everyone, sorry to hear everyone's frustrations

Currently CD 40 here and AF is 5 days late. All tests have been negative but had brown spotting today and no AF symptoms at all so have been frantically googling what this means!

Not getting my hopes up too much though as iv had a late period a couple of times this year so possibly just that again x

Hi ladies. Me and the BF are TTC and AF is now 2 days late. Took a test this morning and the result was one dark line in the negative window and a very faint line in the positive window. So confused if it’s positive or negative. Will wait till the weekend and if AF still hasn’t arrived will test again. Fingers crossed🤞🏻

Update - Day 4 of flashing smiley and now (tmi warning!) I've gone to the loo and there's red blood in my knickers (and they are a nice new pair, typical!). I've had some back pain today and so think I may have just ovulated...
