Amazing news User!!

Enjoy this special time with your little one!!

AF arrived for me yesterday. Bang on time. Didn't expect anything from this month as I've been having too many glasses of wine esp, around ovulation time and just didn't really feel into it this month.

It's so hard to deal with when it arrives esp since I've gotten BFP before. You ask yourself why and feel defeated. Anyway need to focus on the next month now.. but i seem to do better when i don't think about it and pretend I'm not really ttc. But when you want it so much you cant really pretend you don't care!! Then nothing happens!

Anyway, to add another positive story.. my sister is currently 25 weeks pregnant at the age of 46!

Snowie3 · 23/09/2018 11:32

Can anyone recommend ubiquinol source? I'm always a bit sceptical on the supplements i buy and never know which ones to get.

Chatbash72 · 23/09/2018 14:20

Ooh @Snowie3 as a 45 year old I am loving that news, was it ivf ?
@PetraRabbit had ewcm a few days back and now it's gone a bit bonkers so who knows... but dtd every couple of days to be on safe side..
@Snowie3 I know what you mean about supplements.. prenates I get from Superdrug.. did get ubiquinol from woods but the don't do them anymore.. so I look on amazon but Holland and Barrett have them and not too bad in price..

Cleozeta · 23/09/2018 14:52

I use solgar ubiquinol, usually about £25 on ebay. Great news about your sister snowie! Gives us hope

Petra - I know what you mean about every cycle bringing a new concern, I'm impressed at how many different things my body can come up with!!

Ameliel · 23/09/2018 16:04

Hi all,
Thanks @shinyblackdog for updating the list, vow so nice to see lots of us in same boat! Congrats to all BFP ladies!
I've been temping 17 days now since I had the implant removed on 6th September. Here's the graph... I'm no expert but doesn't look too good... I thought I could have maybe o'd the 2nd day as there was a peak but I'm starting to think the low temp on the first day was probably just an error, it did seem too soon. I've since changed my thermometer as it was running out of battery. So ignoring the first temp, it looks pretty unovulatory to me Confused... no symptoms whatsoever, no sign of AF... so where do I go from here? I guess I can only wait for my hormones to get back in balance...
I'm tempted to try acupuncture, has anyone here got any good experiences from that?

Over 40 ttc - August baby dust for me!
BooseysMom · 23/09/2018 16:59

PetraRabbit ...yes my cm has been mental for quite a lot of cycles now and I feel its saying "now it's your last chance...dtd now!!" I've managed twice and then yesterday I swear I had a bit of pink but fell asleep when should have dtd and was too tired to bother!!

Snowie3...what fantastic news about your sister! I'm 46 and am always in awe and disbelief whenever I hear such stories!

User... congratulations Flowers..when did you have your baby?

Shiny... good to hear from you and thanks for the updated list. I've been off the radar too and yes there sure is a lot to catch up on! Smile

user1471543239 · 23/09/2018 17:18

Thanks @booseysmom.I had her yesterday and still can’t quite believe she is mine!! I hope that things work out for you really soon. So great to hear of other older mums like snowie3’s sister having success too! Xx

BooseysMom · 23/09/2018 17:34

User..that's wonderful news! I didnt twig that you'd actually had her when you said ..doh!! Grin what have you called her? How are you both doing now? Xx

Dinah99 · 23/09/2018 19:30

Awww @user1471543239 that's just tremendous news, I'm thrilled for you! Hope you and gorgeous baby both doing great. I went through a similar situation as you at 43, any hot tips for a fellow 44 year old or anything you think you did that helped?
Amazing news. Massive congratulations xx ❤️❤️❤️

shinyblackdog · 23/09/2018 20:59

Amelial, you might find using an app more helpful, as they are better able to analyse the data than doing it by eye. I use Fertility Friend because I like the stats information it gives you but there are a few out there. Also, you might just be having a long ovulatory phase, due to this being your first natural cycle for a while - just keep temping, it's all useful data. And even if this one is anovulatory it doesn't mean the next one will be. Are you doing your temps at the same time every day?

I did acupuncture to try to get AF back after tfmr last year. I did it for four months and nothing so I went on clomid. I kept up the acupuncture though, to supplement the drugs and because I liked it and found my acupuncturist very helpful. I got a BFP after five months but miscarried at about seven weeks.

CookieWaffle · 24/09/2018 08:22

Oh wow, another BFP and a birth (or two)! Congrats all!! Fills me with a little more encouragement xxx

CD12 I've been quietly avoiding Mumsnet as I think it probably fuels my obsession! Looking at the list update, I'm now on month 6 with 2 CPs, I wish it was month 3 again! Could've done without the stress of the past few months! Got lots of things going on to occupy my mind over the incoming TWW anyway.

@Ameliel I've seen various reports about it taking a while for people's bodies to get back to normal after implants are removed. I second using an app though, much easier to read. Hope you get some answers soon.

Jenbot78 · 24/09/2018 19:38

Hello, can I join? I was over on the infertility board but feel I would like to be in conception, as it makes me feel, well, less infertile I suppose! Glad to see this thread as feeling very old and wondering if my eggs are all hard boiled now! My story is that I’m 40 and TTC no. 2. Have one DD age 16 months from IVF and have just had a frozen embryo transfer from the same round (ended in a CP.) I have Hashimotos which makes it difficult to conceive (hence why we had fertility treatment) but not impossible so we are still TTC naturally too...Not loving the TTC shagging again, is all a bit of a chore 😬. Think DH is a bit fed up with it too! Is anyone taking Myo inositol? What is it for and does anyone rate it?

CritterTamer · 24/09/2018 21:31

Hey all, been away for a few days - congrats to all the BFPs and especially to User 😊. Baseline scan and first set of down regulation/stim injections today for IVF2 so here we go again 🤞Also has acupuncture and a day 3 FSH./oestradiol blood test today so feel a bit like a pincushion 😁

weasledee · 25/09/2018 08:20

Hi jen and welcome to the group!

Critter fingers crossed for you, keep us all updated x

Chatbash72 · 25/09/2018 08:28

Welcome @Jenbot78 and good luck @CritterTamer xx

Cleozeta · 25/09/2018 11:29

Welcome Jen
Good luck critter - keep us updated!
As for me, am loving the ava bracelet. It's the first time I've tracked a full cycle of temps (well 10dpo today, so this far) and it's really interesting! Temp has gone up every day since ov, so it looks like a big long fishing rod when I put the data into ff. Which is great, because at worst, my hormones look to be doing better than I thought. Just waiting now to see if the accupuncture lengthens my lp again. Fingers crossed.
Hope everyone is doing well

karryk · 25/09/2018 16:24

Hello everyone! Congrats user SmileFlowers what fabulous news.

@Cleozeta my ava arrived this morning - going to use it tonight!

Dinah99 · 25/09/2018 19:01

10dpo was feeling lucky this month but just got the beginning of the tell tale gummy brown tiny bit of CM Sad, which precedes AF anyone else get this? x

Cleozeta · 25/09/2018 20:25

How long is your lp usually dinah?
I've not had the brown stuff to start yet, I say yet as no cycle is ever the same these days!

Dinah99 · 25/09/2018 20:40

@Cleozeta about 14 days but I OVd early this month so prob longer x

Dinah99 · 25/09/2018 20:43

Just saw gyn and asked him for any last ditch things he could recommend in my last few months of trying, he recommended a fertility clinic in Barcelona or adoption!! Didn't know whether to laugh or cry- not that there's anything wrong with either, I just thought something closer to home or simpler... Grin

crivit · 25/09/2018 20:51

I tend to go with the idea that nothing is ever simple in this whole affair @Dinah99 Instead it's mostly faffy, expensive and / or frustrating Smile

I've just popped my first lot of progesterone cream on after my OV test dropped back this morning. It's sticky and now my left arse cheek (lucky first guinea pig body part that it is) feels sort of prickly. Not itchy as such, which is nice as I don't want to wander around having to scratch it all the time, but not quite normal. Probably just a standard ingredient disagreeing with my delicate bum rather than anything to do with the progesterone is my guess Grin

Also, welcome @Jenbot78 and best of luck @CritterTamer !

Dinah99 · 25/09/2018 20:51

@Cleozeta I have a theory that I didn't get brown spotting before either of my PGs (one ended in MC) though can't be sure as wasn't an obsessive symptom spotter then, so I always see it as a bad sign and heart sinks when I see it. It might be an age thing, do you remember getting it before your last PGs?

Dinah99 · 25/09/2018 20:54

@crivit so are you doing progesterone during 2ww? Where did you find it online? X
