It seems to vary person to person @mondaycando1 - I tend to switch to twice a day about 5 or so days before I may expect a positive just to cover the day better.

Floofsquidge · 18/09/2018 14:56

@mondaycando1 I used the clear blue digital ones as I never really got along with the strips that well, but the instructions said to do first wee of the day as more concentrated, but a few here have said they were missing the peak so maybe try twice a day?

Chatbash72 · 18/09/2018 14:58

@mondaycando1 used to about 3.30 a rubbish time during the day, but I think it is a individual thing.. keep peeing 😉

mondaycando1 · 18/09/2018 16:52

Thank you ladies. Am actually then wondering if I have missed the peak and maybe I have ov'd as yesterday and today have sore boobs which happened for the 2nd half of my cycle last month. Which I've never noticed before but maybe that's just because I am noticing everything more?! What causes sore boobs from date of ovulation??

Snowie3 · 18/09/2018 17:12

Hello ladies!

Wondering if i can join you?

I'm 42 ttc baby #2. Had a miscarriage at around 7 weeks in June and been trying since.

Hoping I've still got it in me for a healthy bub.

Sending positive vibes to everyone xx

CritterTamer · 18/09/2018 17:20

Lol @Chatbash72 sounds like you need to grab a yoga yin video and chill out for a while, or have a nice relaxing soak in a hot bath 😊

@Weasledee it’s a bit sciencey but the main idea is that the injury to the endometrium stimulates white blood cells to the area and they supposedly help with implantation. There’s also something about gene switching which needs to activate at implantation and the scratch supposedly helps that to start up too but don’t really understand what that is to be honest.

Cleozeta · 18/09/2018 21:37

Monday - I find 2nd wee of the day best for opk's. I've tried them later but the wee is always too diluted by then so I always get a weaker line. Maybe you need to experiment with different times and see what works best for you?

As for the sore boobs, I think it's the progesterone that causes that. It's quite common. I had it every month before my mc, weirdly not had it since though.

Welcome snowie

littlemimosa · 18/09/2018 23:20

Welcome all new ladies and congrats on the bfps.
Lumpy and Raffey - I was so sorry to read of your losses. Cleo’s right, Mother Nature needs to catch up. It’s not fair.
Chat - I just ovulated day 6/7 too! It’s weird isn’t it. It’s definitely an age thing with me. Never used to happen. Used to always be Day 13/14. If I get to double figures these days it’s a good month.

mellongoose · 19/09/2018 07:07

Welcome @Snowie3 👍

Well I'm on CD36. I've just got my first BFP since DD. Am truly gobsmacked. I don't particularly remember symptoms last time and I have absolutely none this time. If it weren't for home tests I wouldn't have a clue. Hoping I can hang on to this one 😬

Floofsquidge · 19/09/2018 07:30

Congratulations @mellongoose ! Smile

Chatbash72 · 19/09/2018 07:48

Welcome @Snowie3 and congratulations @mellongoose

Cleozeta · 19/09/2018 08:03

Congrats mellon!

Lumpy76 · 19/09/2018 09:24

Hello again everyone! Had the medical management and everything has gone very well (considering). Thank you for all the kind words!

Congrats to the BFPs! 🤞🏻 for sticky beans!!

Agree with comments re Mother Nature!!! She really needs to catch up or extend our fertile lifetime by a number of years!!

Cleozeta · 19/09/2018 09:39

Lumpy - she needs to shift it forward by at least 5 - 10 years. No one needs to be fertile in teenage years, but we need it in our 40's!

Angelbabyollie · 19/09/2018 10:09

I had brown in cm at cd 19 and little cramping at cd21, then cd 29 light spotting which has continued but not enough for pad only when wipe inside as it were! Does anyone have experience of Asda £1 test ? I just did one 30 mins ago and test line came up straight away yay! Got home and did cheapie strip and nothing- but forced a little wee !!!!! Probably not enough concentration so soon but have orangey blood - it's cd31 . I really hope this is my . I have only had one period since Ollie passed away and 42 years old. Xx

Snowie3 · 19/09/2018 10:42

Great news @mellongoose!!

Floofsquidge · 19/09/2018 10:48

A line is a line no matter what price you paid. False negatives are common, false positives are not.

If you're only spotting it's likely that you're just too early for the cheapie strip and the Asda test is much more sensitive so maybe try a first response early result or a clear blue in the morning?

mondaycando1 · 19/09/2018 11:15

More bfps, how lovely!!!

Opk test I did yesterday morning was strongest of the lot, evenings a bit fainter and nothing this morning so going by the boobs and dates (cd16) reckon I must have ov'd by now. Got husband again at silly o'clock before work so fingers crossed there's some magic going on in there now!

Cleozeta · 19/09/2018 11:31

Fingers crossed for you angelbaby!

Monday - sounds like job done for this cycle!

I'm 4dpo now so nicely settled into the 2ww. Did all we could this month but it may have been slightly misstimed, as we dtd thurs night & sat night. Ov happened saturday morning I believe, based on a tiny bit of spotting. Does spotting happen as the egg pops out?? Never had it like that before, it was a teeny tiny spot, then gone, nothing after that. I've had mid cycle spotting many times, thats quite different and normally mixes in with ewcm before ovulation.

weasledee · 19/09/2018 12:01

Congrats to all! What a great month we're having so far :)

I'm had a weird cycle, no temp rise since period, temp has stay very low and opks have been very faint.... then bam last night really strong opk!!' Same again this morning..... really strange going to dtd tonight and hopefully a few nights after!

Cleozeta · 19/09/2018 12:13

What cd are you weasle?

mondaycando1 · 19/09/2018 13:46

cleo reckon you're right - cd18 today so will hopefully be testing week Sunday. Previous boy's have always come up in seconds on due date so hopefully no dithering around this time (although last one was 8 years ago next month so obv I've aged since then!) and that'll get a young in school year due date so not quite as old at school gates Blush

weasledee · 19/09/2018 16:12

Cycle day 14 today cleo Smile

karryk · 19/09/2018 16:31

Congrats all! Welcome @Snowie3 Smile

I've just had my follow up with the consultant who did my last hysteroscopy and the transverse septum op (as fun as it sounds). She's pleased with how the hysteroscopy went. Confirmed that one tube is likely blocked by scar tissue but the other is okay. Adhesions weren't too horrific. She wants to check my ovarian reserve (yoiks) so I've just had the blood test for that. Think window for dtd will fall next week - possibly on OH's birthday (!) ha! Grin

Cleozeta · 19/09/2018 20:16

Thats great then weasle! I like a good cd14 ov.
Mine are all over the place at the moment, it's a good job I do opk's as it's different every month! This time cd16. (Last one cd21 and one before that cd12!)

Karry - glad the hysteroscopy went ok. Good luck with your ovarian reserve check. Let us knoe how it goes. I wouldn't dare do that one as I don't think I'd like the result!!
