Ladies, here's our 2nd summer thread :)

DH asked me earlier if I was going to test. Told him No. think I'm 13dpo today. Not sure. Nor am I sure when AF is arriving as it's first cycle post missed MC. Will just wait and see what happens.

I found accupuncture helped my lp too, got it up from 11 days to 13. Hoping to go back to it in a few weeks.

BFN today, 10dpo (I think) AF due in 5 days. Will try and leave it a few days but I know I'll test again tomorrow! Good luck to all testing x

@MakeAWhish you're still in it though don't be disappointed, hang on in there! I've got really crampy which I tend not to before AF so I guess it's on its way....

I think but can’t be sure that I am 6dpo. I am very dry and am hoping this is normal for this stage of cycle. I can’t remember the details of my cycle prior to Mirena. I remember marking the EWCM days but can’t recall what things were like between period and then. I did have ovulation pain and EWCM when I had the Mirena although I never had a bleed.
At this point I’ll be happy just to see evidence that I am ovulating. So will wait and see. I think any sign of fertility is a little blessing in this situation.
Aunts Geek hoping AF shows for you soon so you can regain control of your cycle. Have you thought about acupuncture or reflexology to kick start things?

Hey all, thanks for the good wishes for my appointments today 😊 Both went well ultrasound showed that ovaries and uterus are looking perfect and nicely settled down after the last IVF cycle with 13 antral follicles so it’s all systems go for round 2 with meds starting on Monday and endo scratch in 2 weeks 😊 Best of all there was no sign of Dr Doom and the nurses were lovely and positive.
The NHS appointment was very good too - looks like I’m eligible for a funded cycle so I might get one more chance if the next two we’ve paid for don’t work. The consultant is getting all blood tests done again to kick start the referral but the only bad news is that DHs SA had a poor result in one area so she wants that done again too and the waiting list is currently 8 weeks so have a 2 month wait before she can refer us and get us on the waiting list. The cutoff age in my area is 42 so if the list is much longer than a year we won’t get it but it’s worth going for!

Thanks for the ladies who came back on the ewcm/ov question. We dtd last night and I'll hopefully pin him down again on Saturday. I'm genuinely clueless about the implications of a longer luteal phase. What does that mean?

I'm not sure @mellongoose, I've seen it talked about though. Though you'd probably need to know for sure first when you actually ovulated.

My temp finally went up this morning, panic averted!

@mellongoose think it's because you need a certain length of time for the potential fertilised egg to bed down... under 10 days is not good... but as this thread has shown Mother Nature can do it her own damn way when she wants..

Didn't test and AF turned up this morning. Didn't expect any miracles straight after MC really. I don't see this as a failure though. Will just carry on what I've been doing with supplements and acupuncture and gearing up for the next cycle. got a couple of options to think about, including home insemination and IUI. Will make a decision later. Good luck to those in tww! Our month will come!

Critter that is great news about the NHS, what area are you in? most area's will not do over 40 and our area no longer does any age for NHS IVF, so sad!

@Cleozeta I’m in Wales, I think Scotland is also very good. The consultant did say that I’m lucky I live in Wales! I think the waiting list is long though as she seemed in a super hurry to get things started.

I always did like Wales. BRB looking for a new house. Iechyd da!

How is it Friday already?! sorry for the bfns I'm about 3-4 days away from dear AF... Temperature has finally risen but no really symptoms that I can rely on! Mild nausea that comes and goes but I'm blaming the oestrogen tablets for that. Boobs are as small and unspectacular as they have been since I had dd1!

Not sure September will be my month as The Date of Destiny falls during OH's late shifts (bugger) so hey ho!

Oh ladies, it's a bfn here! So sad, I felt hopeful!
Told DH, one more month..... I've got to end this sometime......
if only we'd started earlier...... (got to stop beating myself up about that)

So sorry about the bfn @Weasledee - I know exactly what you mean about beating yourself up over not starting ttc earlier - biggest regret of my life!

Right ladies I've done what u shouldn't do! And returned to a stick that was in the bin!
It's either an evap (I doubt on a frer) and a chemical.......

Where are you in your cycle weasel?
If AF not yet due I would sit this one out...
I’ve never tested early so not sure about chemicals.
What do the experienced testers have to say? I can see a faint line

@karryk well you're still in then, I find it the worst time hanging on which I am til tomorrow! @weasledee looks like a line to me, they do say you shouldn't go back to the test after 10 mins. I did one of these last month, had the same line but in my case tested early and then tested the next day hoping for a darker line but there wasn't one, so all you can really do is sit it out for AF time and then test or take the hit on the tests and do one each day til you get a darker line, fingers crossed! It's so exciting getting a line though!

@weasledee how long have you been trying? It does take its toll but there's always a possibility, I'm giving up in Feb but saying that I may change my mind... I have run out of new supplements to try which was what kept me going, my latest one is to lose a bit of weight as that's supposed to decrease oestrogen.... after that I've run out of ideas. I hope it's another line the next test you do x

Well, my cycles have always been 28 days but recently they have got shorter, to 26 days. So I guess I'm due on either Sunday or Tuesday.
Dinah I went back to it hours later, I know I shouldn't have looked. But to be fair I've looked at ones hours later and there's still nothing there....
My gut tells me it's not going to be a pregnancy but it kind of gives you hope!

WEASLE - IMO that’s a positive. I have never EVER had an evap on a frer and that line has colour too. I’ve dished them out of the bin DAYS later without a hint of a line (yep I know so sad!)

I know where your coming from re; chemical as I’ve been there too many bastard times but all you can do is wait. So so hard but that’s the bottom of it really - it’s an awful waiting game that doesn’t get any easier at all once that BFP arrives - quite the opposite. Hang in there! Keeping everything crossed for you! Xxx
