Too early for a September bus?

I've (intentionally) missed out on an August BFP due to planned holidays but I'm crossing my fingers for a 7th September BFP/AF! Not sure if there's a September thread already?

Age: 27
TTC: No. 1
Cycle: 1

Getting my coil taken out this coming weekend and really hoping I'm one of the lucky ones whose cycle goes straight back to normal! I haven't had a period for years but have been tracking my bbt for the past month.

@GreatestShowWoman I have PCOS and used to have really irregular cycles so even when I'm not TTC I track everything because I find it stressful not knowing what my body is doing. I think there are people who don't track. There used to be threads on here (might still be?) called 'just shagging' full of people who didn't track!

@Newbie21 enjoy!
@GreatestShowWoman I think there are people out there who don't track but they aren't as likely to go on a forum and talk about TTC as they don't need advice on all the tracking methods etc. For me personally, I enjoyed learning about how conception works and what I could do to maximise chances, and I love tracking any data I can get my hands on so it just suits my personality type I guess!

Hi everyone! I’m hopping on, hope that’s ok.

Age 22
TTC#1
Cycle 2 (or maybe 1, it’s my first ‘proper’ period off the pill, excluding spotting immediately after)
CD2
BFP/AF due 18th of September.

I’m getting married on the 14th, so it would be lovely.

Good luck everyone!

I’ve just read the instructions for the opk strips and it says to allow the urine to reach room temp (20 mins) I haven’t been doing this! I’m such a plonker for not reading it.

Does anyone use the clear blue ovulation kit? Trying to decide which is best to use

Hi ladies! I'm 23, TTC #1, cycle 1!

Hey @NoseringGirl ! I've given up tracking completely, I don't have the routine to be able to, so we're just doing it whenever we can Grin

ImpatientMammy · 14/08/2018 13:43

@cupcakesandglitter I can't temp but if you have a Fitbit or smartwatch my resting heart rate shows the same pattern that my temp should have been. That's if you want to track anyway I've found it really interesting x

@Smileyface32 I love the clearblue ones. You can see straight onto the stick and you know ovulation is on its way which is so much better then just it's here. I did however get mine free by taking part in a study they where doing but I think I'd buy a box if it comes to it x

@ImpatientMammy I might have to try that next cycle as I don’t have time to get one today.

Would you take this as a positive or would you wait a while? Trying to get it right this month 😊

@Smileyface32 I don't think it's quite there yet but personally I'd start BDing before the positive arrives x

I’m on day 12 today getting flashing smilies on clear blue but apps all saying I’ll ovulate tomorrow and I have ovary pains. I’ve bough pre seed. With my daughter even though she was donor conceived as well I was much more laid back but I was 8 years younger.

@ImpatientMammy I have just done three poses in bed, does that count 😂 but yes, been meaning to get back to yoga to help with my back and leg pain, so might as well do both. A buddy would be great to keep up the encouragement and share videos if you fancy?

Thanks for the explanation @GreatestShowWoman, I hope you are successful! Every single one of my friends who has had a baby has said to me 'we got pregnant first cycle!' But I know due to my medical history it's unlikely we will get pregnant naturally which is why I am trying to make the most of the fertile times I'm supposed to have by tracking. I see what you mean though - I had just assumed we would have a bit of sex and that would be it! Doesn't seem to be that way for a lot of people though

@ImpatientMammy you're totally right, I will be like that. Will have to take some tests with me and hide them in my case!

@PeanutButterJellyTime2 @ImpatientMammy what the bloody hell is fertility yoga?! Xx

I'm also intrigued by fertility yoga! What's the reasoning behind it?

I've been trying to do some OPKs but I'm normally in the office from 8-8 so not much chance to poas in the recommended time window. My sex drive has been really high since getting my coil out anyway (not sure if it's related) so we'll probably just end up DTD ever day that DH is at home and hope to hit my fertile time then see how we did after ovulation!

CD10 here and starting to see some fertile mucus. Is it stupid that pre TTC I thought the creamy and egg white CM were indication that something was wrong (like thrush or an infection) who knew it's normal and actually a good thing?!

@cupcakesandglitter @KinCat it's supposed to reduce stress, stimulate hormones and increase the blood flow to your uterus or something similar (and probably nonsense but whats the harm in trying)

Hi Ladies, hopping on from the August bus!

Age 33
TTC #2
Cycle 3

Currently CD 9 and AF/BFP due on the 5th September. I think ovulation is due around CD16 but not sure so might try the CB ovulation kits this time round!

I like to track my cycle, generally I like to know what’s going on with my body and before I used it as a method not to get pregnant. Although it seems getting pregnant is tricky I dont why I wasted so much energy worrying before!

Hi Ladies,
I've never used MumsNet before, so I'm potentially posting in the wrong forum etc?!

But I am 32 years old and we are now TTC baby number 3 (I'm very grateful for the 2 children we already have and totally empathise with those trying for baby number 1 or 2 or those who have suffered miscarriages etc).

On sat 4th August I noticed blood when I wiped, but then it went brown for a day or 2 and AF didn't start properly until the Monday, so not sure what to class as cycle day 1?? I use a hormone app which is brilliant and I'm usually pretty regular with cycles (28 days ish). Think I'll be fertile from around yesterday- Saturday ish. So we dtd last night and going to aim for Thursday and Saturday again. I read that sperm takes about 48 hours to replenish completely, so best not to have sex every day?! Just going to stay relaxed and see what happens, as I think stress is the worst thing for hormones.
AF due around Sept 3rd, but I may use an early pregnancy test a few days earlier!x

Can I join in? 33, trying for baby #1, AF/BFP due 9th September. Excited and a bit terrified! Women in our family tend to catch pretty quick, although I’m a bit older than my mum and sister so trying to prepare myself for it taking a little longer.
