Too early for a September bus?

I've (intentionally) missed out on an August BFP due to planned holidays but I'm crossing my fingers for a 7th September BFP/AF! Not sure if there's a September thread already?

Age: 27
TTC: No. 1
Cycle: 1

Getting my coil taken out this coming weekend and really hoping I'm one of the lucky ones whose cycle goes straight back to normal! I haven't had a period for years but have been tracking my bbt for the past month.

CD5 now and having my first session of acupuncture today. Jury’s out on whether it actually helps but a nice hour of relaxation will probably do some good!

KinCat · 15/08/2018 10:05

@MuddyElephant I see. Maybe I'll look into it. Any exercise would be better than what I do at the moment which is nothing!

@Dwellington enjoy the hour of relaxation! Everyone I've heard of having acupuncture in the UK says it's very relaxing and nice but everyone I've spoken to here in SE Asia looks at me a bit funny when I mention acupuncture as being relaxing/pain free!

@Wiggler1- my AF/BFP is the same as yours!!

cupcakesandglitter · 15/08/2018 11:13

@MuddyElephant @KinCat I might try this too!!

@Dwellington keep us posted on how it goes please, and enjoy it!! I've always wanted to try it - apparently it's good for fertility too xx

Hi ladies,

Hopping over to the September bus. AF has arrived this morning. TTC #1. This will be cycle 8.

Going to continue with BBTing and using OPKs. I stopped takes pregnacare vitamins - they made my cycles really long for some reason. Now jut taking folic acid. I've been told drinking water to increase EWCM will help as well. Any other suggestions? Starting to get v impatient - trying to stay positive Smile

Newbie21 · 15/08/2018 14:48

I'm on CD 8 and got a flashing smiley this morning!! Last cycle was only 18 days long and whilst I've always been 27-29 days, I'm thinking this early flashing might mean another short cycle. DH has "man flu" so not sure he'll be quite up for an early challenge but will need to convince him to get busy. Was planning on SMEP this month.

shelly10 · 15/08/2018 15:30

Hi ladies.

Jumping onto the September bus from the August bus (sort of). AF arrived today, first time since having my implant removed in June, so I'm pretty relieved and quite pleased to finally have a 'cycle day' to start from. Have been DTD regularly and taking conception vitamins for about the last month. But I think I'll class this as my first proper cycle trying. So here goes:
Age 31
TTC baby number 1
Cycle 1
CD: 1

Looking forward to the bus ride with you all! Fingers crossed for some BFP's on our September bus! X

shelly10 · 15/08/2018 15:36

Also, after reading all of your posts there are quite a few of us on this bus who have recently come off contraception. Just worked out it's exactly 8 weeks ago today that I had my implant out. Hope that is good to hear for some of you worried about your cycles and AF's returning to normal x

cupcakesandglitter · 15/08/2018 15:51

@shelly10 I had the implant out beginning of August last year - I then didn't have a "period" until October, and then my periods were every 44 days/14 days consecutively, until March when they finally settled (give or take a day) x

shelly10 · 15/08/2018 16:12

@cupcakesandglitter that's really interesting! A longer cycle then a really short one. Hoping this will be as close to a 'standard' period as possible, but great to know what you said about yours! X

xLauraa · 15/08/2018 16:43

Hi Ladies

Joining as AF due tomorrow and had 2 BFN (today and Monday) and I don't have high hopes!
Cycle #9 Sad going on #10

Been quite relaxed the past few months but I had slight spotting a few days ago (which would have suggested implantation) and it got my hopes up!

Dwellington · 15/08/2018 17:24

@cupcakesandglitter had the acupuncture, needles in feet, wrists and abdomen - felt a few sensations like being tingly all over and a couple of twinges in uterus area! And not so much relaxed like after a facial but a bit zoned out and spacey driving home. Who knows if it’ll do anything but guess it can’t hurt (except my bank balance!)

I too might check out the YouTube yoga, I definitely want to try and do a bit more exercise this month as that’s the only thing I’m really lax on. Pre seed arrived in post today and will start SMEPing from Saturday!

GreatestShowWoman · 15/08/2018 17:46

I’m driving myself mad already it’s going to be a long 2ww still not had a peak on clearblue just flashing smilie which is weird as should be ovulating today or tomorrow. I guess I should have stuck to my usual ones that predict two days not gone all out and bought the more expensive ones!

PeanutButterJellyTime2 · 15/08/2018 18:10

Crossing my fingers for you @GreatestShowWoman! I've given up with the ovulation tests as I can never work them out!

veeboo · 15/08/2018 18:30

Hi ladies. Have been keeping up to date with posts after floating over from the August board. For the first time last night I just had a huge panic about whether it will ever happen and am I doing the right things etc. Its nice to read the board and know I'm not alone. Stupid really as can only really say been ttc for two cycles as it took us 3 months before that to dtd at right time (do those cycles count if you go to a gp etc?! I might try the yoga to stop myself fretting so much!

Newbie21 · 15/08/2018 21:29

@GreatestShowWoman what cycle day are you on and how long is your cycle? I used the CB advanced last month and only got flashing smileys until AF turned up early so interested to see if it works this month. I bought some boots opk strips too to see if they are consistent but haven't started using them yet. Best of luck for the static smiley!

GreatestShowWoman · 15/08/2018 21:59

newbie I’m on day 13 and cycle is usually 27/28 days. I’m using three different apps and one is useless but the other two have me ovulating today/tomorrow. So hopefully sperm is there waiting for it!

Newbie21 · 15/08/2018 23:42

@GreatestShowWoman fingers crossed for the static smiley tomorrow!

I've just realised that I messed up my dates. I started counting cycle from date I was spotting not date full AF turned up. If I do it on date AF showed up in full then I started opk testing on CD 5 (empty circle) but then today CD 6 I got a flashing smiley. Seems way too early for a 27-29 day cycle. But since last cycle was 18 days maybe it's going to happen again. I only got a faint line this eve on the boots opk. Let's see what tomorrow brings!

cupcakesandglitter · 15/08/2018 23:42

@Dwellington ooh that sounds positive!! I'm gonna start the yoga too xx

em254 · 16/08/2018 07:32

Morning, how is everyone today?

My friend swears by acupuncture and believes it helped her conceive both her babies. I’ve never had it but will maybe give it a try a few more cycles down the line if I don’t get a BFP.

I’m on CD10 and hubby just left to go away with work and won’t be home until CD15, I normally ovulate CD16 so really hope I don’t ovulate early or his flight gets delayed! 😫

GreatestShowWoman · 16/08/2018 08:50

Still flashing smilie today 🤨 I have to remember with my daughter I inseminated on the Thursday but didn’t ovulate until the Sunday and she’s here as proof!!

GreatestShowWoman · 16/08/2018 08:53

em254 if you ovulate early you might be fine if you had sex right before he went? My daughter was conceived 72 hours after insemination.

MrsC87 · 16/08/2018 13:51

Hi all can I join?
I am stepping off the August Bus and into September as AF due Saturday and started spotting and also got a BFN.

So, I'm 31 on cycle 2 of TTC baby 1.

Didn't really DTD enough times last month so will be getting on it in September Grin

Lemonsugar245 · 16/08/2018 14:10

So I’m joining I was going to wait for an appointmrnt. But that isn’t til January 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m not waiting almost half a year then another 3-4 months while they work out what to do. If I get pregnant they will have to work out what to do 🙄.

Malichick · 16/08/2018 14:27

What CD do you guys tend to ovulate?
