Anyone around 9 dpo?

Hi wondering if anyone is around 9dpo and wants to join me for the agonising wait? I'm trying to hold off from testing until at least 12dpo but it's so hard! I've never obsessed over something so much and I'm only on my 2nd cycle Sad

@Thethreeandme I'm ok thanks, I think I'll ovulate over the next 2-3 days. I've been a lot more relaxed about it this month, haven't done any OPK's and have been more casual with dtd. I had a smear yesterday though and I've been bleeding quite a bit today and really tender so just hoping that won't effect anything. How are you doing? X

Got my bfp yesterday. Still in shock. Going to take it day by day as I am absolutely terrified something goes wrong. Had negative test earlier in the cycle but I conclude that those early responses are no good for those with longer cycles. Good luck to all of you still waiting. Xx

Thethreeandme · 12/09/2018 20:12

Ahh yay congratulations.. so many bfp this month!!! I'm due af this weekend so will see lol xx

Squ1ggle · 12/09/2018 20:39

That's amazing @blitzen congratulations

blitzen · 12/09/2018 21:55

Thank you very much @three and got my fingers crossed for you.

And thank you as well @squ1gle.

Really wishing everyone on this thread success xx

dreaminofholidays · 13/09/2018 00:23

@blitzen congratulations! how are you feeling? roughly how far along are you?

@thethreeandme my fingers are crossed for you.

@bobbysd345 any news your end? frustrating not knowing what our cycles are doing

@lavenderlove good to hear you can take a more relaxed approach. I think it can all be quite overwhelming.

I got my 2-3 weeks on a CBD yesterday. Was so relieved to see that. I am so hoping this little bean will stick. I am obsessively knicker checking at the moment worrying that it's all over.

How is everyone else? xxx

Akasia · 13/09/2018 10:09

Congratulations @dreaminofholidays @blitzen!! Seems to be just myself, @lavanderlove and @thethreeandme from the original posters left hoping for bfp's.
Here's to hope!
I've been away for a while and managed to chill and not think too much about baby stuff but now I am back in the game so to say and don't think I can bear another negative test. Everyone around me is eiher pregnant or just had a baby, and I can see myself getting very upset if not bft this month :(
Sorry about the rant, you're the only people other than my other half who I can talk to about this 😶

lavenderlove · 13/09/2018 16:24

Congrats @blitzen !! Amazing news xx

@dreaminofholidays thanks I am really trying to be as relaxed as possible and keep it off my mind!

@Akasia I know how you feel. I'm feeling a bit down today as I woke up to the scan picture of one of my family members that got married a week before me so she obviously got caught within the first month. I'm happy for her but wish it would happen for meSad

OP posts:
Akasia · 13/09/2018 17:18

It's not easy, is it, @lavaderlove. As much as you are happy for them, and I really really am, all it makes me think about is why am I not pg yet, will I ever be etc.
Then I read that when you're not thinking about it and when you're relaxed thats when is happening. But how can you when it just doesn't seem to work?
Read some good stuff about pre seed and conceive plus, maybe give that a go as well.

lavenderlove · 13/09/2018 18:19

@Akasia no it's not easy at all. I don't think it's possible to not think about it when it's something you really want. I also keep getting thoughts like "will I ever be" etc and it's driving me mad as logically I know it's likely to happen at some point. Thanks I've been using conceive plus this month so I will let you know how I get on! I'm due af on the 29th sept which seems ages away at the minute! X

Hi @Dreamin. Think I am 5+5. Think my due date is around 19th May if it all progresses as I hope. I've been feeling pretty rough for about ten days. I thought it was just the usual pmt. Even had a few drinks on Friday night thinking I was okay to do so after a very negative test on roughly cd 26. Didn't even think I had ovulated as had no luck with opks. Still feel like I have pmt or a hangover with low level cramps when I lie down and Babylons fit to burst. So sore. But I am okay! How are you doing? X

blitzen · 14/09/2018 08:44

Got everything crossed for you, @akasia @lavender and @thethree. I think this thread is a good place to be for positive energy when you might not feel able to talk about it in person. I am really grateful for the support on this thread. Thank you x

Squ1ggle · 14/09/2018 09:30

I love this thread, so lovely to see people get their bfps. This is my first month using opks, have only been doing them since Wednesday as I think I'm due to ovulate on Sunday so I'm just wanting to know if that is accurate. If it is then I probably won't bother using them again tbh. Dh has been away this week but is back tonight so hopefully we'll still have a chance this month

lavenderlove · 14/09/2018 09:40

Thanks @blitzen I'm feeling a lot more positive today! I hope everything progresses really smoothly for you, I'm sure it will! Have you booked in at the doctors or anything yet? Even though I already have a DC I actually can't remember what you do when you get a positive test! Haha x

OP posts:
Akasia · 14/09/2018 09:57

@blitzen thank you for your positive thoughts, lovely. It is really nice to have someone to talk about these thing with.
@lavanderlove how old is your dc? Don't know why I thought you were ttc #1 😄
@Squ1ggle all I would say with the opks is try doing it a few times a day as sometimes the peak only lasts for a few hours and might miss it. I tend to do 3 a day at least. When I wasn't I always seemed to miss it. Have fun tonight though 😃

Squ1ggle · 14/09/2018 10:04

Ah ok @Akasia that wasn't clear from the instructions so I haven't been doing that. I'm clearly new to this Grin

blitzen · 14/09/2018 11:56

Thanks @lavender. I have a docs appointment at the end of the month, which was already booked in as I wanted to ask about potential infertility. (I still think I might have pcos). So I will just keep that appointment as my docs takes usually a month or more unless it is an emergency.

lavenderlove · 14/09/2018 16:48

@Akasia I have a DS who's 6 and I wasn't TTC when I fell pregnant with him so I'm all new to this TTC business!

Yeh I've also found my positive on OPK's usually only lasts for a few hours but a strong line usually stays for about a day. @Squ1ggle

@blitzen lucky you've got one booked in already then. Hopefully you don't have pcos. How long were you TTC?

OP posts:
spottypyjamas · 14/09/2018 17:46

So I think I ovulate next Mon or Tues. I've woken up today full of cold! Typical! There always seems to be something around this time each month! Dunno what to do now. Risk infecting him tonight? Wait til nearer ovulation? Argh annoying!!!

spottypyjamas · 14/09/2018 17:48

@lavenderlove good luck with the more relaxed approach! I'm trying to adopt it myself this month. I really want to avoid doing any pregnancy tests. I'm not going to buy any. The cheap tests are just causing upset! X

blitzen · 15/09/2018 18:34

Hello @lavender, it was 6 months. Tried smep the last two but to be honest I didn't think I had even ovulated this month.

Thethreeandme · 15/09/2018 18:50

Af arrived for me today the cow bag.. and oh is working away this month .. looks like I'm moving onto November lol xx

lavenderlove · 15/09/2018 19:07

@spottypyjamas thanks I'm trying my best to keep myself in check haha. I don't have any preg tests in the house either and I am not going to buy any until nearer the end of the month when af is due. I was using the cheap tests a lot too but I've not heard great things about them from other people

OP posts:
lavenderlove · 15/09/2018 19:11

@blitzen not too long then! Although I'm on cycle 4 and it feels as though I've been trying forever haha. Just goes to show it happens when you least expect it!

@Thethreeandme sorry to hear af has arrived for you. That must be frustrating that your oh is working away but i'm sure October will fly by like the rest of the year has!

OP posts:
Thethreeandme · 15/09/2018 19:16

@lavenderlove yes it's frustrating. I'm also on cycle 4.. well 5 next. I'm just trying to comfort myself in that maybe it was meant to be this time with oh working so much .. how are you feeling? Xx
