Starting 2ww once again! Who's with me?

Looks like another 2ww for me, anyone else just Starting? I'm only 2DPO so still 12 days to get through!

Age - 25

CD 16 on a 27 day cycle (usually)
Only 2 DPO

I’d test again before bed tonight and first thing in the morning too. Ooh it’s getting exciting now everyone’s coming up to the 2ww again 😀

CD18 here and an almost positive I think this evening.

Think we are over our wobble now and MIL has gone home so will DTD tonight but then we are away and sharing a room with DS so cant DTD again till Saturday night.

Not bothered to miss this month though as I’d like to have a few drinks end of August.

halfblood that happened to DH last year when we TTC for a few months. Pressure was too much and we decided to stop. He doesn’t know I’m doing OPKs now.

So I've just ordered a thermometer so I can start tracking BBT. Never done this before so can anyone suggest the best time to start? I assume maybe after AF?
I'm struggling to pinpoint ovulation so hoping this will help!

I’d start as soon as you get it, if only to get into the habit of taking it.

Are you using fertility friend app to chart?

I'm due to O on Thursday or Friday. Using the CB digital advanced ovulation test and still getting a low fertility reading. Thought it'd be going high by now. Anyone used these before?? All new to me.

@8DaysAWeek I have used them this cycle for the first time and I didn't get my flashing smiley until day 13. I started testing on cd9. However, as of An hour ago (cd 16) I was still getting a flashing smiley but I have also started spotting which hasn't happened before so I have no idea whether to bother testing etc. Make sure you follow the instructions precisely otherwise it can mess up and give false readings.

Morning all. These are definately positive aren’t they? CD19, much later than I was expecting, but luckily fell on the right day I guess for DTD. My post last night doesn’t make sense now I read it back, we are away from tomorrow so can DTD again tonight and not again till Saturday, but if we did last night and tonight and got positive OPK this morning then that’s pretty good timing right? I should ovulate somewhere in the next 12-36 hours?

I have the Ovia app which has space to add in the information every day and then it shows on a graph so I'll see how I go with that I think.

@basinhaircut my last pregnancy we only dtd 3 days before ovulation and I caught!

@purplestar9 I’ve not tried the ovia app. My free trial for FF has expired so I might give it a go next cycle.

halfblood I suppose it’s a case of you are either lucky or you aren’t then!

I’ve just worked out that if I ovulate tomorrow, then I’ll be 14DPO on the day of my best friends wedding, so if no AF by then I’ll have to test that morning Shock

@TheHalfBloodPrincess I currently have 3 apps on the go because the first one I was using (Flo) didnt update very well when I changed the settings from 28day cycle to 33. So I tried Ovia, not sure what to think yet but it does seem a little more accurate with my dates. I also found that my Fitbit app has a fertility tracker on it so I'm using that too - I'll have to wait and see to find which is the most accurate!

I have had a really strange taste in my mouth almost constantly for about a week now... it's really bugging me! And really bad trapped wind and bloating today too (the bloating is that bad that I could have looked 4 months pregnant), what is going on?!

Had such a busy day yesterday I didn't OPK or DTD! I had that positive Tuesday night and a negative this morning. Does that mean I have ovulated already yesterday?

The negative opk just means the surge is over. Most O 12-36 hours after their first positive, though it can take up to 48 hours. If you had a positive 2 days ago it's likely you've Od :)

Got my flashy smiley last night! Another one this morning. Expecting my peak/LH surge tonight so currently on track to O tomorrow as expected. Almost in the 2ww again...

Ahh think I might have missed it this cycle then! DTD Monday and Tuesday (Tuesday got the pos OPK) but haven't been able to since! Will get a cheeky one in tonight but think I may have Od already maybe yesterday or today. According to my apps I ovulate tomorrow but I think it's a bit late.

It’s better you dtd before ovulation than after - that way the little spermsies are already there waiting for the egg to be released!

Getting a bit down already thinking I'm out already not BD the day before O but oh well. If I'm feeling like this already now god knows how I'm going to last this 2ww 🙈🙈

I know how you feel - we only dtd 2 and a half times. Plus I’ve got a bloody kidney infection so I didn’t even want to.

AF due in 9 days so hopefully next month will be a lot better

No you had perfect timing!! Sperm live for 3-5 days, you want them there and waiting for the egg. I read a study the other day that says the optimal time for dtd is 2 days before (which we can assume for you is on Monday) and then the day before which will likely be the day of your positive opk! You are more than in this month :D

Though I too am guilty of pessimism and have already worked out that next cycle we are away with DHs whole family on the weekend I'm due to ovulate so there will be no chance of anything happening 😭😭

Sounds like perfect timing to me @alicepol :) fingers crossed!
I ovulate at some point from now to Sunday I think, we DTD last night and planning on Friday and Sunday (every other day over fertile period) just to make sure! But we all know planning these things means it doesn't always go to plan! And my thermometer arrived today so going to start temping tomorrow :)
