Starting 2ww once again! Who's with me?

Looks like another 2ww for me, anyone else just Starting? I'm only 2DPO so still 12 days to get through!

Age - 25
TTC #2
Cycle 5
CD 16 on a 27 day cycle (usually)
Only 2 DPO
AF due 25th July

Hi mcdonald! I think it's totally normal to get ewcm throughout your month, so I wouldn't make assumptions from that alone.

I guess it's difficult if you don't have consistent cycle lengths. For a 31 day cycle, and an average LP of 14 days, you would expect O at day 17, so your initial peak would be about right. If this is a 35 day cycle then itd make more sense you were ovulating now. Ah how frustrating for you :(

I took a month out of tracking etc last month and it was good to just chill a bit. I'm back onto it now but I feel better that this works best for me.

Also, have you tried temping? That would pinpoint O better for you for future cycles.

Thanks so much for you help @8daysaweek it can be so frustrating TTC! Things would be so much easier if my partner was home all the time but I suppose I need to try and stay relaxed about it. I haven’t tried temping I didn’t even want to do OPKs but I wanted to be sure I was ovulating. I might look into it in the near future if things don’t work out. Which cycle are you on just now?

Cycle 5, TTC #2. I know what you mean in a way. DH isn't away but with DS and his terrible sleeping pattern and general neediness trying to find time to actually have sex is difficult! So it's easier to know when I'm at the fertile period to get the drive to find a way haha. So romantic this TTC isn't it!?

Thanks guys it makes me feel better that other people are in the same position regarding not being 100% signed up to it all of the time.

Just been to a BBQ all day with our friends and their kids. Lovely day but seeing the ones with younger kiddies has made me feel exhausted just watching them.it does make me question it all, but I have to remember they are not babies forever!

@BasinHaircut I've just spent the afternoon with 4 nephews between 2 and 13 - blooming shattered!! Can't wait to have one of my own they can play with though.

At a toddler class the other day one of the mum's brought her 10 day old son with her while her 2 year old was doing the class. My ovaries almost burst, he was just amazing.

Because of my irregular cycle last month I am only still on CD9! Feeling so jealous of everyone a week ahead of me! ☹️ If I am back to my 27/28 day cycle I should be ovulating in approx 5 days time. Starting opks on tues. Me & OH are both off work this coming week from work so I’m keeping my FX that this is my fertile week as we have lots of spare time. 🤞🏼

I'm still only CD10 as well @MissNena very annoying. Going to start OPKs tomorrow. Going so slowly

I'm on CD13 but have a longer cycle so ovulation still isn't for another week or so. So there should be a few of us starting the tww together!

CD12 and not ovulating until the end of the week, so most of us aren't too far off each other :)

I’m officially back in the 2ww! But not sure we’ve done enough. I think the pressure is getting to Dp a bit, he was unable to finish last night and broke down. I feel awful

I think the pressure got to my DP a bit this month, but he wouldn't let on - I could tell he wasn't his normal self.

I'm 9dpo, sore nipples (sorry for TMI!) but otherwise feeling pretty normal. Only have 1 FRER and 1 CB digital test this month because I want to wait until Friday to test. But I don't think I'll hold out that long. Amazon Prime is too easy

Oh sorry to hear that @thehalfbloodprincess it mist be hard for them as well. We have things like this as a nice outlet but most of the time they dont. Fingers crossed you done enough and the pressure can go for you both!

CD11 - done my first OPK today and was negative. Weird seeing a faint line on a test though and it not being a pregnancy one!

I’ve decided that from now on I’m not testing unless I’ve missed a period, I can’t face squinting at a bfn for 5 days anymore, plus I’ve figured out I’m spending £30ish a month on opks/frers- it’s just a waste of money.
I bought some rapid response tests on offer for £4 last month, they’re not as sensitive so won’t show up a positive until the day after af due so going to wait and use those if I need too.

That's good idea @thehalfbloodprincess I said that last month but it didn't happen! Although I didn't test half as much and only used 2 packs from Poundland so only spent £2. This month I got a pack of 10 ovulation tests and 10 pregnancy strips with the thermometer so I'm gonna use them pregnancy strips for the next few months so as not to waste anymore money but I'm defo not testing as early as 8dpo this time!!

I'm on CD14 so fertile period should be coming up any day now. My longer cycle means I ovulate a bit later too. But this week is the one 🤞🏼
I really wanted to stay relaxed through all of this, I think I was quite naive when we first started cause I didn't really have a clue about the whole TTC thing so didn't think it was going to be quite so 'crazy' inducing!
Have any of you already got children or is this your first you're trying for?

I already have the one child so I'm ttc number 2. Never had any of this ttc DS though. I caught pregnant in the first month of trying. Which I think made me think it was going to be easy coming into trying for number 2. Cycle 6 into it and I've definitelybeen proved wrong 😂

I have 3! Two teens and a toddler. I fell pregnant earlier this year but sadly miscarried in April at 11 weeks. I would have been 26 weeks today

@alicepol I guess that just proves how different it can be for each time! I hope you catch on soon!

I'm TTC #1 so it's all new to me.
My sister is 6 months pregnant and my friend just told me yesterday that's she's 13 weeks pregnant so it's all around me. Really hoping it won't take too long for us! 🤞🏼

We're TTC our second. Fell pregnant instantly with our first too so this is frustrating!!

I am so lucky that DH doesn't feel under pressure (yet). I have a naturally low sex drive and only really feel in the mood during ovulation anyway, so DH is truly enjoying any action he gets. While BFing DS we didn't have sex (19 months!!) and only had sex during pregnancy at the end when I was overdue! Pregnancy/breastfeeding hormones killed my libido. My issue is trying to make sure he doesn't think I'm just 'using' him. Tbh I do enjoy it loads but I won't lie, there are some times that I'm doing purely for TTC purposes, though I'm sure he's aware of this.

Opposite problem here. I could DTD every day happily, DH not the same at all.

I also caught first month with Dc1 and this is coming up two year ttc number 2!

@8DaysAWeek thank you!! Totally agree -the first week always seems to go quickly for me but this is when it gets tricky..

:( super stressed about work so woke up and completely forgot to take my temp then went to the bathroom and completely forgot to do an opk!

Trying to tell myself stress is no good for TTC but that only makes me more stressed 😅

CD12 - Positive or just very close to??
Weren't expecting it to be this close so early! If it's not positive should I test again tonight or wait until tomorrow morning?
