Who’s trying SMEP this month?

Support thread for those giving smep a go this month! I’m CD6 so going to start soon. All fingers crossed that this works for us all this month.
Debating whether to buy CB OPK or just stick with IC - might do IC until around FW and then see if I can find a few old CB lying around to confirm a positive.
Anyone else giving this a go?

I'm CD8 today and we managed to DTD last night but will be away from each other until Sunday night now. So not the best start of SMEP. Will be trying to stick to it after that. We're not good at keeping it to just EOD though and it just ended up daily last cycle 😳 might try actually sticking to the EOD this time and see if it makes a difference.

@Firsttimer16 I weirdly liked the routine side of things too.. I knew exactly what days were BD days so DP wasn't trying to gauge whether I was in the mood or not 😳

@Noseringgirl hopefully just doing it from Sunday will do the trick 🤞
We didn't get as good a start as last month - DTD CD8 and then missed CD10 as I was ill, got my flashing smiley yesterday so wanted to make up for missing CD10 but DP was too tired.. (TMI) unless I "got on top" which I was too tired for 😳 So not a great start. CD12 today and another flashing smiley so definitely going to bed earlier tonight

Hoping this is a good sign for this month as last month I went straight from blank circle to static smiley so I'm pinpointing more fertile days this cycle 🤞

Hey everyone!!!! We've done the SMEP this month as well as grapefruit juice and pineapple so fingers crossed. I'm 11dpo today.

My other half is off tomorrow and DD is stopping mums tonight so will test in the morning properly. I have done a sneaky one this morning but can't make my mind up if it's one of those evap lines on an FRER.

TTC # 2

Had a ERPC a month and a half a go and I’ve had one period in between that and this cycle.
I’m now 9 DPO I think but seem to have two peaks this month, which I also had in the cycle I conceived my MMC. Apart from that I’ve had no other cycles since last (successful) pregnancy so clearly still a bit all over the place. However, I had clear signs of ovulation and two positive OPKs so I’m assuming / hoping it was ovulation the second time. Having body gear up to and then delay ovulation and try again a week or two later is getting very old already and makes the cycle go sooo slowly so really hoping it doesn’t take too long.

Not sure when I should test. With the MMC I got an extremely faint BFP on an IC at 11 DPO.

cd34! what is going on haven't done a test as am away camping i did a test yesterday and it was negative. Hoping maybe late implantation fx won't get to test till sunday now

@winterwarmers fingers crossed for you!!! By that chart there was a good dip a couple of days ago so definately a possibility!

Welcome @wheezing sorry for your loss! Best of luck for this cycle. It's so confusing when your body gears up more than once. Do you temp?

@winterwarmers I wonder if FF was wrong and you ovulated CD24?

I started temping but gave up because it’s too hard when you’re up half the night with a 2 year old. I’ve got really good at watching my body though, the only two OPKs I did this month were 9/10 days a go when I had all the signs (I actually thought I was in the TWW but couldn’t ignore the EWCM) and got two positives 12 hours apart, so I think I’ve got quite good at keeping a track myself.

Weirdly the month I got pregnant I thought I ovulated, my temperature went up for about 14 days, fell, I didn’t have a period (and BFN) and a few days later I ovulated (either again, or for real I’m not sure) which is when I caught it. So I think with my cycles being all over the place even temping doesn’t necessarily work.

Anyway I had been roughly trying for every other day but managed 4 consecutive days up to and including what I assume was ovulation so hoping I have a shot. Fingers crossed.

Ah crap. Gave in and tested at 10 DPO with an IC. Won’t post a photo because it’s as white as a sheet but in real life I do see something but now I’m wondering if it’s an indent. FFS. So now I’m going to have to go and get a FRER probably all for nothing. I told myself I wouldn’t test until my period was due this month.

@wheezing I wouldn't put too much hope on those IC, if you look at the recent Amazon reviews people say they are way less sensitive then they say they are.

Ran out from work to Boots to get a FRER. What is wrong with me? I can see the faintest, faintest line but maybe I have line eyes. Will do again with FMU tomorrow.

Definitely get a FRER wheezing- when I got my BFP on a frer the IC was negative- now I’m 14dpo the FRER line is darker than the control... but ICs are still squinters.

Don't actually know what to make of these. Oh my days give me strength. Temp has gone up slightly today. I'm going crazy!

Do I need to test tomorrow do you think or just take this?

Funkyemzie I do see where the line should be but 11 seems darker than 12? Where they both FMU?

I’ve just done another IC and completely negative. Why did I do that?!

@wheezing I definately agree, don't know what to make of it. I've run out of frer's now so will have to wait until tomorrow and no point in doing one in the ago so will have to wait until Sunday for FMU.

I have an ic but I don't really like them.

@Funkyemzie no I’m going to wait until Sunday now, same as you. Taking it as a positive. Probably not a bad thing you have to wait either because it should be clear by then.
I don’t want to obsessively test the same as last time but at the same time it was my testing that made me guess something wasn’t right so I’ll never be one of those people who just takes one test and then rocks up later at a 12 week scan!

I completely agree. Ive had another temp rise this morning and by 13dpo it's normally dropped. I have a 14 day luteal phase like clockwork.

If this turns out to be positive, I don't know about you but I'll be on bloody egg shells until that 12 week scan. Might ask docs if I can go for an early scan for reassurance. Obviously I didn't at the beginning of the last 1 because didn't feel the need to but didn't get to 12 weeks anyway.

@wheezing I don't know how anyone can do that, when I get My BFP I'll be testing lots and probably booking an early scan. No relaxing here lol.

@ TheMagicTorch are you in TWW now? Just been reading posts from beginning, i ovulated on cd8 last month then had 14 day cycle, was crazy!

How are you getting on? I think we were chatting about short cycles.
