Who’s trying SMEP this month?

Support thread for those giving smep a go this month! I’m CD6 so going to start soon. All fingers crossed that this works for us all this month.
Debating whether to buy CB OPK or just stick with IC - might do IC until around FW and then see if I can find a few old CB lying around to confirm a positive.
Anyone else giving this a go?

don't think that was me, I'm pretty standard 28 days 🙂 but I'm good, not quite in the TWW wait- ovulation day today I think 🤞 this month we started the 3 days in a row on flashing smiley CB this month instead of static smiley so hoping we've caught it this month 🤔🤞

@Funkyemzie I think I might end up with a cycle like that this month. My temp has been going up since CD6. I think my chemical last month is making this cycle wacky.

@TheMagicTorch that is a good idea. Shaggathon in commencement then, I honestly don't know how kids are conceived in this heat!

Saw a post called 'Don't touch me' which made me laugh cuz that's pretty much how I've been this cycle, normally we're quite cuddly but even with 2 fans on the go it's been tough! 😂

Not testing today, going to leave it until tomorrow if I can, got some more frer's on order so they should arrive this afternoon. Keeping everything crossed for you! X

@NoseringGirl I actually don't think this heat helps! That looks like a steady chart so far, mine has looked like that before.

This is mine so far this month but last month was completely different, there's still time for ovulation there. Do u use OPK's? X

@Funkyemzie I agree about the heat! I do use OPKs and was planning to start doing them Monday as I don't usually ovulate until around CD16. I'm away for the week otherwise I'd have probably started doing them now!

@NoseringGirl, yes defo start with the OPK's this month, certainly not out for ovulation yet. Did u have any other signs around that time like ewcm or ovulation cramps etc?

This heat causes havoc with tempting, I have thought about starting vaginally again but I sometimes forget I'm doing it that way and put it in my mouth. I did try one month but found I was totally obsessing with cleaning the theomoeter after that I broke it! 😂

@Funkyemzie I usually start OPKs around now, it's only because we're away that I haven't. It's probably good for me as I do far too many a day from far too early.
I use an Ava bracelet so my temps tend to be pretty accurate because it takes my temperature multiple times over night. My BBT temps were always all over the place! I never temped vaginally for that reason. I've temped for some many years that I got to the point it was in my mouth before I was fully conscious and I could just see it going wrong 🤣

Sorry @Funkyemzie I meant to add that I hadn't particularly noticed any EWCM etc but I wasn't really checking as it was so early in my cycle!

@Funkyemzie we had the fan on full blast while DTD last night 😂 honestly it's tough isn't it!

Ovulation today for me- we've just had some afternoon delights as off out with friends for the evening. Might do tomorrow too to make 4 nights in a row. So glad it's cooled down!! Nearly my TWW already x

I'm giving the SMEP a whirl this month too. I'm cycle day 6. Got myself some cheapy amazon ovulation sticks and pre seed at the ready! This will be my fourth cycle of trying. Hope this will be the last, because this whole TTC business is slowly driving me insane. Hope we all get our BFP soon 🤞

@Funkyemzie did you test this morning?

My 12 DPO test was positive but disappointing. No darker than my 10 DPO test that wasn’t even FMU. I’m thinking chemical ..?
I basically get pregnant every cycle so maybe I just let implantation happened easily every time but it doesn’t mean anything about the vaiability. I regret testing so easily now.
Top one is 12 days.

Morning @wheezing! I think today is pretty conclusive. I honestly thought I was heading for af because I had backache all day yesterday but it never started.

On a normal cycle I have backache and then af starts pretty much immediately after. Yey!!!!!

@wheezing that's still a good line though sweetie. I had to leave it a couple of days to be sure. Try again tomorrow. X

i have no idea what's going on :( cd37 i think i ovulated on cd19 which puts me at 18dpo which is impossible.

other potential ov day was cd24 however that again puts me at 13 dpo when i have lo of 11

Negative frer so i give up

@winterwarmers any chance you're having an anovulatory cycle? I know they suck but most women have them at some point apparently!

I just got back from my trip away and had a near positive OPK. Loads of EWCM since this morning so hopefully the OPK is on the way up to positive rather than on the way down from one! Still early for me at CD11 today but not quite as early as I was worried about with that temp rise!
