Anyone else waiting to test?

I'm 8DPO today and am probably going to test on Thursday (trying to hold off until then anyway!)
Anyone else planning to test around that time? I have a 10 day LP so testing then should give me warning about whether AF is coming or not.
I'm obsessively symptom spotting even though I'm aware that pre AF symptoms and pregnancy symptoms are pretty much the same at this point.
It'll be DC3 for us if all goes well but I'm still just as excitable TTC this time around

My AF has stayed away but more slight pink spotting this morning... I’m so impatient to find out one way or the other. I’m going to try and hold off testing till Saturday.. as I’ve been peeing on various sticks since 8dpo and I’m getting fed up of myself now! 14dpo today.. how fricking long is this cycle?! I thought I had a 12 day luteal phase. Definitely need to start temping next month to get some better data.

Hope you get answers soon @BeeKeeping it's frustrating when everything is so ambiguous. I definitely recommend temping for keeping a good track of what your body is doing.

this is our first month of ttc so its all a bit new and odd for me at the min! have been using clue to track my cycles for a few months which I thought would make it easier to spot any new possible signs of conception etc but I am torn between noticing real symptoms and thinking I am being paranoid lol I usually get low back pain the day before my period arrives however I have had low level back acheyness for a few days now and I am still 10 days from the end of this cycle. from what I can see this really probably means nothing but having the wait to test feels like the longest few weeks ever!! #paranoidorpregnant

No af, took my last ic and a Spanish test which I have no idea how sensitive it was. Can't really see anything but I think there is a squinty line on the ic

winterwarmers I can't see a line when I enlarge the pic but it looks like a faint one on the second picture when I just look at the thumbnail. Sorry I think you're going to have to poas again, good luck x

So I realised I had 4 FRERs rather than 2, as I’d bought 2 x2 packs. Desperate for a wee when I got in from work so thought what the hell, let’s POAS and look what happened!! The moral of the story is don’t bother with those rubbish internet cheapies

@BeeKeeping thank you! I think I’m 12dpo yes. It’s only our second cycle, but I worried I’d have problems as I have an under active thyroid - now just need to get to the docs and get a blood test ASAP as I will probably need to up my meds. I have to say that side of things is making me a bit nervous as hypothyroidism can increase the risk of MC I think, but I’m trying to think positive thoughts!

@Prembabymum it’s so hard to tell on those ICs, have you tried inverting the pic as it sometimes shows it a bit clearer? Definitely try FRER in the morning!

I don't know what's going on with me. I had dark brown unusual spotting on Tuesday and Wednesday then thought AF was hear yesterday morning even though she's not due until Monday. But now she's dissappeared again, and this morning I got a BFN.
It's really annoying because for the last two years I've had regular cycles for the first time ever, and then the last two cycles (so since we agreed to TTC again) have been out.

Aahhhh! Getting fed up now. Still no period today and another BFN. Don’t know what to think. Is it likely that I have a ridiculously long luteal phase? I’m on 15dpo.. or that I maybe didn’t ovulate? Or not when I got my peak OPK. I was tracking the week of the 3rd seeing it get gradually more positive and then definite peak on the 6th (with all the other signs ewcm, high soft cervix etc) it trailed off again after that and I assumed that i had ovulated on the 7th. What the actual fuck! 😖 🐝x

@BeeKeeping that sounds frustrating! Anything from a 10-16 day LP is within the range of normal. You can ovulate 12-36 hours after a positive OPK so it could just be that you're closer to the end of that.
The other possibility is that some people will get multiple LH surges. So their body heats up to ovulate and they'll get a positive OPK. Then for whatever reason, ovulation doesn't occur and the body starts gearing up again.
OPKs alone drove me mad (I have PCOS which means my LH can be elevated without ovulation) and I find temping helps me track a lot more accurately.

I'm out . Tested this morning, even though I promised I wouldn't but I caved.

I should be relieved as we have a big family event next week and trying to cover not drinking would have been a nightmare but I'm not, I'm sad.

I would love a summer baby so I know I should be holding off but I just have this crazy obsession and all rational thought has left the building.

Ah well it will be August before we have another shot as DH is away with work next month at that time. Fingers crossed for August

Sorry to hear that @mumontherunnn! No amount of rational thinking takes away the sadness of BFN. Really hoping you get that BFP soon! When is AF due? You're not technically out until she shows!

The good news is that @mumontherun @changingagain @prembabymum and @noseringGirl we get to keep each other company next month too. I think that there’s definitely a sense of catharsis when the witch actually arrives and there’s no more wondering. CD1 is much more positive than CD40whatthehellisgoingon?....

I’m going to try a rough version of SMEP next month and start temping. I was saying this to a friend of mine who has been ttc for almost 4 years and is now on the waiting list for IVF. She was SHOCKED that I would do something as dramatic as taking my temperature every day and timing sex. I was shocked that she’d rather have IVF than timed sex?! Couldn’t really say that to her though... but venting here...
