June bfps for mamas trying for dc#2

I'm 35 yo
DD is 3yo
Cycle 25 (urgh!!)
Af/bfp due 18th June

After a few months charting and opk-ing, I've decided to chuck it all out and try and dtd every other day. Eek. Only two more cycles until we start ivf in August so crossing fingers we can get a natural bfp before then. Here's hoping!

I don't @LethargicButAwesome. I use opks everyday but I never get a positive.
My cycles have always been stupid but never this long. I'm going to make an appointment at the end of the month as the Dr I need to see only works Mondays so is always booked up.

That sucks, I've never got a positive on an opk either I gave up testing for ovulation just regular dtd, but it gets tiring and sometimes sucks the fun out, must be worse for ou with such long cycles - keep positive if everything else is ok surely you can get clomid prescribed?

Finishing cycle day 35 although feels as though I'm about to come on, just wish it was either or tbh atleast if it's a negative we can get over it and begin next cycle afresh

How sit going ladies any sign of af or hopefully a BFP? Nothing yet for me, I've been using cheapie sticks so have been reading reviews and they are not great - so secretly hoping it's the test and am AM pregnant - trying not to overthink not buying more reliable tests which arrive next week

@LethargicButAwesome I didn't get a positive on a cheapie until I got a 2-3 on a clear blue digital.. It's a hard one though as the 'better' tests can be so expensive!! Fingers crossed for you.

Day 84 and no signs of anything.
My IBS is playing up so I'm nauseous, tired and have really bad reflux and heart burn so feeling rough ATM.

@maya I think I'd feel guilty if I spent 10 pounds on a digital only to get a negative! Hmmm have ordered slightly better tests they arrive on Monday, when did you take the digital - how long after af was due did it show up with a 2-3 weeks?

Mammy that sucks, you don't know the cause of long cycles? Must be something you can do....have you checked for thyroid ? Mine had a big impact...

They checked my lh, FSH, thyroid, b12, iron, glucose, infection markers, liver and kidney function at my last blood test. They found that I am b12 deficient but don't have a genetic condition that would cause it and my diet is fine so I was told to get this very expensive spray to fix it but I can't afford it. They want to retest in 6 months, but one Dr is saying I'm extremely deficient and the other says slightly. I am taking vitamins which have b12 in them so I don't know why I'm deficient.

@LethargicButAwesome I was getting 2-3 a few days after AF was due, and 1-2 weeks the day before I was due on.

Still not convinced there's a baby in there, and want an early scan to see. Have you had yours yet @Sodababy2 ?

Tested with a better quality test- bfn.

I think I'm over t, bring on af and working for oct !

Hi @mayago! Yes I had a scan at 7 weeks and a further reassurance scan this weekend at 10 weeks. All is looking good and baby waved at us 😍 No way would I have been able to wait til 12 weeks!! Have you got a scan booked?

How are you getting on @CatRen27? Do you have a date for embryo transfer yet? Please keep us posted!

My update is that I'm having blood tests to track ovulation and today's was promising, looks like a rise so as soon as they detect it i have to wait until 5dpo for the transfer. Feel like it's taking forever!

So exciting about the scans mayago and soda, can't believe you're already 10 weeks!

@CatRen27 so exciting, it seems like things are moving quickly! Though realise it might not quite feel the same for you..

Early scans are expensive here- £90! We did it last time, but finding it harder to justify this time around. Not sure what to do, as I don't think I can wait either!

So it's day 90 now with absolutely no signs of anything and I can't get a drs appointment till next month if I'm lucky.
I just wish my body would do what it's supposed to do

Ohh mammy I'm so sorry, that's such a long cycle. It must be so awful to have to wait so long to see someone too. Sending you hugs, i really hope they get to the bottom of it.

My update is that ive finally ovulated on cd20, so my frozen embryo transfer is booked for tuesday. Things are moving finally, and I am so excited to give this a real go. Not feeling too much pressure as we'll have 4 more 'goes' with the embryos in the freezer, which have all been genetically tested and are chromosomally fine so reducing the risk of miscarriage considerably. Might not work at all but have to find it a shot!

Hope everything goes smoothly for you tomorrow @CatRen27 How long will you have to wait to test? So exciting!!

Thanks mayago, procedure's all done, it was totally fine and the consultant was really encouraging so here's hoping. Official test date in 10 days, which is a blood test and I'll be 15dpo by then. I will obviously plan to poas before then as i can't deal with the suspense of waiting for the call with the results. No effing way. So I'll poas next tuesday i think once I'm 7 days past my 5 day transfer (12dpo). How are you getting on?

I've just finished my period so hoping for October to be a positive month !

I'm only 7+3 yet- time is going so slowly! Still debating an early scan.

This pregnancy is so far quite different from my last one. More nausea, more stretchy and period type pain, more food aversions, etc. Hopefully I'm the odd one out here!

@maya af is not due for almost a month so the process starts again! Although my last cycle threw me so no idea what to expect.

Maya if you think about the money you are saving on frers over the nine months...warrants an early scan lol

I tested really really early. Like 9dpo early. And there's a faint line! Eeeek 😯
