[... Insert jazzier title here!]

The bus is still running, we're sick of bastard bfns, and crossing fingers (and some) for Feb 2019 babies. Come join!

I'm 35 yo
DD is 3yo
Cycle 25 (urgh!!)
Af/bfp due 18th June

After a few months charting and opk-ing, I've decided to chuck it all out and try and dtd every other day. Eek. Only two more cycles until we start ivf in August so crossing fingers we can get a natural bfp before then. Here's hoping!

Hi everyone!

I've been on and off this thread a bit. Hoped relaxing and trying not to obsess would make me magically get pregnant. It didn't.
Me - aged 35
DD - aged 20 months
TTC - since August with m/c in February

Just had blood tests and came back normal. If no luck this month DH going to get checked out.

I've ditched temping as that really was making me go mad! Still using cheapie OPKs and also doing acupuncture.

CD14 today, I had an almost positive OPK yesterday but they've gone back to very faint again now. Very odd for me - usually get 2 days of strong positives so not sure what's going on there!

Looking forward to obsessing together Smile

Mammyofasuperbaby · 26/05/2018 14:27

Looks like I'm out this month. Af arrived this morning Sad. But on the plus side this cycle has only been 37 days long rather than the 70+ ones I've been having so that's something

HidCat · 26/05/2018 15:47

@Mammyofasuperbaby fx your cycles are all much shorter from now on!

Mammyofasuperbaby · 26/05/2018 16:08

Hopefully. They have a tendency to get longer for 3 cycles and then short again so god knows what will happen.

BadBadBeans · 26/05/2018 22:43

Ah so this is where you all are!

I'm 33
DS is nearly 2
MC at 9 weeks in April (pregnant first try with that one)
Cycle 1 post-mc (but my period came 9 days after 2.5 weeks of mc bleeding so I don't know how messed up I am).
AF due June 4th.

I've been doing opks since day 8. Two or three were probably invalidated because I peed on them rather than dipping them (I was staying at a friend's place and didn't fancy asking them for a container to wee in!) No positive result and they are now really faint on Day 20. So like you @Lithops I am none the wiser.

I think there is only the slimmest of chances this month. We didn't dtd properly during fertile week. However we did both days leading up to it so... I guess I'm not out. Things are a bit tense at home at the moment, which doesn't help. Various reasons, but I feel very tired by it all and just sort of wish that I could just be 15 weeks pregnant as I would be now with the baby I lost!

Peanut1980 · 27/05/2018 06:38

@badbadbeans sorry to hear things are tense at home. I too have had an awful week. I’m wondering if the weather is a contributing factor. I’ve been so tired and emotional. Hubby and I had a HUGE falling out on Thursday. Mood is better in the house now thank goodness. I’ve got an appointment at the Drs the week after next to discuss moving forward with IVF/ICSI. I’m struggling to be positive about ttc right now. I just want a sticky BFP as I know we all do on this group 🙏🙏🙏

jkl0311 · 27/05/2018 06:41

Hi ladies
I'm 27
Ttc no2
Coil out start of month
No we probably should wait but you know worth a try 🤣 good luck ladies

Peanut1980 · 27/05/2018 07:17

So AF has arrived for me today. Feeling relieved it’s arrived in a way as the 2ww was a bit insane this month. Fresh start now and hoping for a BFP at the end of June 🤞

HidCat · 27/05/2018 07:53

@BadBadBeans I'm glad to see you back trying again, hope things calm down at home for you.

@Peanut1980 the weather definitely affects mood. I hope things get less fraught soon. Glad you seem fairly positive about this cycle.

Welcome @jkl0311! Time to get cracking lol!

Cariad2017 · 27/05/2018 10:27

I found you! I haven’t joined until now as I’m Trying not to think about ttc too much at the moment, ahead of our first IVF cycle which I’m assuming will take place in July/ August.

Stats (rather depressingly are as follows):
Age: 36
DS: 2.5
TTC since: December 2016
Cycle: 22
AF due: 9 June
Not even a hint of a BFP in that time. Possible MFI.

DS was conceived after 11 months, with a cp and a ruptured ectopic along the way, so I didn’t expect an easy ride this time around, but this is taking the biscuit...

BadBadBeans · 27/05/2018 19:43

@Peanut1980 sorry you've been having struggles too! We had a lovely day today so I'm hoping it's blown over... I'm so exhausted, which isn't helping. Going to try to be asleep before 9pm tonight. Glad to hear AF came and you feel positive about a fresh start x

@HidCat thank you. Hope you are having a good weekend!

Welcome @Cariad2017 and @jkl0311!

I'm feeling more positive this evening after such a nice day. Our car has broken down and has had to be recovered and taken to a garage and I even feel strangely relaxed about that! I would so love to have a BFP next weekend but I know it is unlikely. I'm going to be more proactive next cycle about telling DH when my fertile week is. He didn't know this time and I felt weird about telling him - like it would make the sex more mechanical maybe? But that just meant that we didn't dtd when we needed to and I felt really stressed about it!

Went out with a group of friends yesterday and was a bit horrified by the pictures afterwards! My hair is an absolute fright and I am going to treat myself to a decent hair cut asap. I'm pretty laid back about my appearance as a rule but I feel like I just need a boost at the moment you know? I also find it helps with dtd if I feel happier with how I look. Anyone else struggle with it when they are feeling a bit scruffy?

HidCat · 27/05/2018 20:18

@BadBadBeans had a good weekend so far, thanks. I know what you mean about feeling scruffy. Always feel better after a good hair cut, shower and general freshen up!

Peanut1980 · 27/05/2018 22:22

@badbadbeans oh I’m pleased you’re feeling better now 😘. I know what you mean about the mechanical side. Hubby feels a bit like that but I tell him it’s only the time around ovulation and then he can forget about it for the rest of the month and we’re back to normal x

jkl0311 · 28/05/2018 07:39

Anyone ttc planning to get fit/ healthy over the next few months? I ate too many biscuits 🍪 over winter... and the cold spring Grin

CatRen27 · 28/05/2018 09:17

Hello cariad! Sorry to see you back here and hope this is it for you this month. Soooo over this malarkey.

jkl I'm also trying to get a bit fitter, dh and i haven't been eating so healthily recently and even though it's coming into winter here (Australia) we're trying to sort ourselves out. We're trying to follow a Mediterranean diet and exercise (running) - how about you?

CatRen27 · 28/05/2018 09:19

Badbeans and peanut - I'm also feeling the mechanical side of things. Trying to keep it fun before the fw so we're not only shagging for babies but it's knackering and i honestly think my sex drive has taken a nose dive in the last few years (since dd..?!) so hard to remember what used to be fun! Oh dear..

Hi I'm new I'm 27 TTC #2 DS is nearly 4. My implant expired Dec have booked an appointment to get it out so I'm not sure how it's still affecting me. I'm currently 3 days late according to the tracker but I can feel lower back pain and I'm abit ill feeling. Dunno if I'm just imagining it though

Lithops · 28/05/2018 10:34

Finally had a smiley face today - on CD24! Not sure if that can be right, but the good news is that DH is back this afternoon, so at least we can give it a go...! It'll be interesting to see if this one is a long cycle.

MrsMDD · 28/05/2018 11:23

Well I'm in for June BFP (hopefully!)

Age:27
TTC:no2
Ds age 7
Cycle 2 however previous cycle before cycle 1 I stopped pill after 1 week and the cycle before that I had been on 2 weeks of antibiotics so it feels like cycle 4 although it's not really.

Just to add to that I was two weeks late so had a 4week wait, was convinced I was pregnant but nope, AF arrived having never been late before! Not sure where that leaves me with a date for next AF as all other cycles were 28days, should I still go by a 28 day cycle?

AbbeyLouise · 28/05/2018 13:15

Hi can I join? Smile

Age: 23
TTC: #2
DS 2 years old
Cycle: 1 but just came off cerazette (and feeling it!) so a bit all over the place

Been tracking BBT over the past few days and using the Ovia app to track my cycle

Luxembourgmama · 28/05/2018 15:12

I'm 37 TTC no2 second cycle (that means second month trying eight?

HidCat · 28/05/2018 15:34

Welcome to the newbies, hope everyone is feeling positive!

@MrsMDD I would work in the assumption of a 28 day cycle but keep DTD regularly for an extra week or two just in case.

@Luxembourgmama yes, spot on.

I'm CD24, about 5dpo and having to resist the urge to POAS as I know it's too early 🙈. Damn the TWW!

MrsMDD · 28/05/2018 15:52

@HidCat Thank you, I will indeed. Oh the dreaded two week wait.. hopefully you will have your BFP at the end of it Smile

Pinky333777 · 28/05/2018 16:02

Hi all. I'd like to join please!
I'm 37, ds1 is two months old and I've just come off the pill (after being on it for all of a few weeks! 😀)
We've decided we'd like a sibling for our baby boy, and as the biological clock is ticking and we aren't getting younger we decided no time like the present!
Fingers crossed x

HidCat · 28/05/2018 17:32

@Pinky333777 welcome and good luck!
