[... Insert jazzier title here!]

The bus is still running, we're sick of bastard bfns, and crossing fingers (and some) for Feb 2019 babies. Come join!

I'm 35 yo
DD is 3yo
Cycle 25 (urgh!!)
Af/bfp due 18th June

After a few months charting and opk-ing, I've decided to chuck it all out and try and dtd every other day. Eek. Only two more cycles until we start ivf in August so crossing fingers we can get a natural bfp before then. Here's hoping!

That's amazing @CatRen27 !! I don't have a lot of experience with IVF, but 18 collected and 12 fertilised seems high! I think my friend had not even half those numbers, and was ultimately successful Smile Fingers and toes crossed for you next month, and I hope you're getting some well deserved 'me' time now!

9dpo here today. Please let this one stick!!

Ooh @mayago - definitely a line there! Huge fingers crossed for you, keep us posted!

mayago · 30/08/2018 08:17

Thanks @sodababy2 How are you getting on?

CatRen27 · 30/08/2018 08:27

Ooh @mayago look at that line! Congrats! Hope it gets nice and dark over the next few days xx

Thanks @CatRen27 I have lots of sticks to use.. 😂 Have three boxes of digitals as well (and two boxes of CB OPKs). All those months of TTC and this was the only thing I could buy while we waited.

The line is still there! I have to step away from it now..

Ha ha @mayago! Great collection! I bought even more after I got my BFP! Blush

I'm doing good thanks. 7+5 and feeling very sick. Had an early scan a few days ago and saw a lovely blob with a heartbeat which relaxed me a bit. Have finally stopped weeing on sticks! I think when you've been waiting so long it's so lovely seeing that second line appear....!

I know this doesn't help with stepping away @mayago but I always got better lines in the afternoon!!

LethargicButAwesome · 30/08/2018 09:19

@maya exciting! Congratulations :) hope it remains a beautiful pregnancy

I never know when I'm ovulating but if I time my period I should be in the tww now, my milk supply has seemed to reduce, is this too early to be a sign?

sodababy2 · 30/08/2018 09:19

Sorry about bold fail Blush

mayago · 30/08/2018 09:32

@LethargicButAwesome I don't notice a reduction in my milk supply, but other than those first few weeks I can't say I've noticed much there! DD seems happy enough. I do wonder how long that will last.

@sodababy2 that's awesome with the scan! I had one at 9 weeks last time around, but only as my parents were visiting and I wanted them to see. I'm contemplating a harmony or similar test time time around.

I might try to wait until tomorrow for another test. And I haven't told my partner yet; might wait for a digital confirmation for that one!

mayago · 30/08/2018 09:35

Oh, and @CatRen27 I found FRERs for £3 or £4 on approved food (I often buy nappies and wipes on there) so bought what I thought would be enough 😂 Got the digital tests there too, for a similar price 👍

LethargicButAwesome · 31/08/2018 01:54

@maya this approved foods site looks awesome...how comes I've never heard of it before !! :P Did you use ovulation yet strips...and how long has it taken you whilst breast feeding...?

I have a week to wait before I can go near a test strip! Going to be a long ass week .... anyone else in the tww?

mayago · 31/08/2018 07:35

@LethargicButAwesome it can be a good site, but shipping is steep. Sign up and they often do it half price on a Friday evening Wink

We've been TTC since January! DD took 3 months by comparison, but I've since passed the age where fertility nosedives! I don't think breastfeeding had any negative affect. Yes, we used OPKs, but my cycle was so regular we probably could have gone without and been less stressed.

Fingers crossed this is your lucky month!

Line is darker today and the 'oh shit, this is really happening' has kicked in!

sodababy2 · 31/08/2018 07:57

Hooray @mayago! So pleased for you! xx

Good luck @LethargicButAwesome!

mayago · 31/08/2018 09:10

Thanks @sodababy2 ! I didn't test in the afternoon in the end, as I couldn't manage a long enough hold.

Still nothing showing on amazon cheapies!

LethargicButAwesome · 31/08/2018 13:18

They just take longer to show up :) are you officially 'late' yet?

mayago · 31/08/2018 15:55

Not late until tomorrow @LethargicButAwesome but got a 1-2 weeks on a digital just now, and cheapie in the same sample shows nothing.

sodababy2 · 31/08/2018 16:30

Ooh a digital! That's the real deal when it says the word @mayago!

I used the cheapies after I got my BFP to track line progression for the next couple of weeks. It got pretty dark by about 17dpo.

Mammyofasuperbaby · 31/08/2018 16:51

Had my blood test yesterday and told the results will be back by Wednesday the earliest.
Got a phone call from the gp saying my results are back (24 hours later?) He told me that I have very low b12 and I need to take a over the counter supplement as the TTC vitamins and multivitamin I'm taking isn't enough apparently.
I'm very confused by all this. I have no symptoms of b12 deficiency but I'm still going back to the Dr on Wednesday to see the Dr that ordered the tests and get a explanation

mayago · 31/08/2018 19:13

That is a bit odd @Mammyofasuperbaby but if it is a deficiency that is a pretty straightforward answer! Hopefully your GP will be able to give you some answers 🤞

@sodababy2 I may have bought a dud batch. I know there have been problems with the wider width strips, and I thought buying the thinner ones would be 'safe'

Mammyofasuperbaby · 31/08/2018 19:54

I'm hoping its an easy fix @mayago. But the gp seemed allover the place with the info he was giving me. I have no faith in him as his treatment of women is very wrong. His solution to depression, anxiety ect in females is to tell them to get married and he just dismisses "female issues" as if they don't exist. So I'm concerned that I haven't been told something or given the correct advice so I'm taking it up wit my female dr

LethargicButAwesome · 31/08/2018 21:16

Mammybthats awful i remember when I was referee when I was trying for my first and the go was a horrible experience my sister is having similar experiences just keep going back hopefully you will fine a doctor that will listen . Deficiencies can have a real impact on ttc tho, my thyroid caused me a lot of problems first time - additional supplements sound like a good idea :)

LethargicButAwesome · 31/08/2018 21:21

I know it's stupid but I have a good feeling about September I dunno why no symptoms or anything but since starting 6 months ago I've always said I think September will be the month!

CatRen27 · 31/08/2018 22:26

Oh no @mammy that's really rubbish, can't believe your gp is such a misogynist! Although i saw a stand in gp once when mine was on holiday, old chap. I'd said in passing that my 18 months ttc when i had a polyp that was preventing conception was a 'waste of time', to which he replied "not a total waste of time, wink".. it was so creepy. Anyway hope the b12 supplements help and you get more info on the stuff you thought they were testing for!

@mayago a digital! Come on then let's see it! Sooo official now 😁🎉

@lethargic i have my fingers and toes crossed that September is your month!!

My update is that af arrived super early (day 16!) as predicted after my egg collection on Monday. So I'll have my embryo transfer in less than 2 weeks! Sooo exciting.
