[... Insert jazzier title here!]

The bus is still running, we're sick of bastard bfns, and crossing fingers (and some) for Feb 2019 babies. Come join!

I'm 35 yo
DD is 3yo
Cycle 25 (urgh!!)
Af/bfp due 18th June

After a few months charting and opk-ing, I've decided to chuck it all out and try and dtd every other day. Eek. Only two more cycles until we start ivf in August so crossing fingers we can get a natural bfp before then. Here's hoping!

Please tell me this chart looks promising 🙈🙏
I know it's not set in stone and what will be, will be. But the difference in this chart compared to my last one is crazy!
Taking all my will power not to test.
Can't face the disappointment for yet another month x

Hey @pudding that looks like a lovely implantation dip at 5dpo and your temps are rising - all pretty positive stuff I'd say! Not to get your hopes up obviously but going just by your chart you're definitely in the game I'd say. How is it different from previous charts? (Auto correct almost had me saying 'penis' charts, which made me chuckle like an 8yo boy..)

Pudding01 · 15/08/2018 13:16

Haha thanks Caren! I've attached a comparison - My last one never appeared to have the dip, but did keep high temps which was confusing. The two fertile windows messes up my hormones though x

Congratulations @Hisashiburi that's brilliant news!! 😊🎉

Fx for you ladies hope to see more BFPs 🤞💐

Pudding01 · 16/08/2018 06:47

I caved. I tested. I got a BFN 😒

9DPO, so not losing hope yet (she says with a tear in her eye). But my temp has dropped a bit today.

CatRen27 · 16/08/2018 09:09

Soooo early yet @pudding, don't lose hope yet!

Af officially arrived this afternoon, so I'm off to the clinic tomorrow morning to start my ivf treatment.. argh!! I'm really excited, it's definitely taken the edge off af coming this time round. Wish me luck gals!

Gdluck Cat! I've heard it's a difficult process but remember what you are doing it for :)

On CD8 I'm planning to dtd as often as possible until about CD22 so OH is going to be ecstatic, regular dtd is what got me upduffed last time.

Hisashiburi · 16/08/2018 17:13

Thank you @lethargicbutawesome. I'm 4+3 so very very early days.

Thanks @angelmiracle. Hope you're feeling well.

Sorry @catren for the AF..hope IVF goes well .

Fingers crossed @pudding!

sodababy2 · 16/08/2018 18:27

@LethargicButAwesome it was a clinic in London called ABC IVF. They're related to Create. They do IVF very cheaply as they do 'mild' IVF so less drugs etc and they treat people using quite strict criteria so have very good success rates. I really liked their ethos.

@CatRen27 I'm sorry it's come to IVF but glad you're feeling positive about if. Please keep us posted, we're rooting for you!

@Pudding01 9dpo is still very early indeed! Fingers crossed for you!

LethargicButAwesome · 16/08/2018 21:54

Do we need to start a new thread :/

Pudding01 · 17/08/2018 06:21

Sorry Catren 🙁 Good luck.

My temps are dropping every day now... not looking good for me.
Think I may have to see a doctor soon too. I came off the pill last September.. so deflated

Have we started a new thread?

CatRen27 · 20/08/2018 03:07

Hey @pudding nope i haven't! I think we're a way off filling this up but if others want to that's cool. How are you getting on? How are your temps?

I'm on day 4 of my injections, all going fine so far. I'll keep you guys posted obviously but I've given up all control to the clinic so no shagging/temping/opks for me this month!

OP posts:
Pudding01 · 20/08/2018 06:27

Oh bless you. I'm going to look at talking to a doctor now I think...
Temp has dropped right down today and BFN on 13dpo, so I'm guessing I can expect AF today 🙄 thought she would come yesterday, but getting drunk Saturday night could have delayed her 🤷🏼‍♀️
I tried everything this month. Temping, preseed, very well timed BD and I chilled out.. Had enough now x

Mammyofasuperbaby · 23/08/2018 21:14

Well I saw a Dr today and I've got blood tests on Thursday but I don't know what they are testing for but it's a start

CatRen27 · 24/08/2018 01:01

Hi @mammy, they'll be doing blood tests to check you're ovulating, and probably also check your thyroid to check that's all working ok. They might also test DPs sperm. When we did our NHS tests that's all they could offer as we have a child already. If tests come back fine I'd suggest getting a referral to a private clinic to get further testing done. Hopefully you're all fine but i do wish i had that advice at the time. Let us know how you get on

OP posts:
CatRen27 · 24/08/2018 01:02

Hey @pudding sorry it didn't work out this month, are you heading to the gp?

OP posts:
Mammyofasuperbaby · 24/08/2018 22:02

Thanks @CatRen27, I already know that my thyroid is fine (checked recently) and I most likely don't ovulate properly as my opks are never positive.im hoping they can give me something to force ovulation if that's the case as I can't afford a private clinic. We actually think that ds was a fluke to be honest as I've had issues for the last 12 years so literally half of my entire life

CatRen27 · 25/08/2018 05:20

Wow @mammy he must have been a miracle! They can prescribe things like clomid to encourage ovulation, I've heard that's not uncommon. Hopefully after a bit of investigation you'll get the help you need. In terms of opks though, I've only had a few positives over the last couple of years but i think that's because my LH surge, which the opks look for, is really short lived so unless i test every couple of hours around the time i should ovulate they won't come up positive. Charting my temperatures has confirmed I'm ovulating though so might be worth trying that as well.

CatRen27 · 25/08/2018 05:27

My update is that I've been taking my ivf injections for a week and I'm due in for egg collection surgery on Monday, which has come about really soon. They'll freeze everything after fertilizing the eggs, as I'm at risk of hyper stimulating my ovaries and it can make implanting afterwards a bit risky. So we'll wait until next month to implant an embryo. I've got shitloads of follicles so really bloated and uncomfortable, but at least they'll get lots of eggs this cycle and i hopefully won't have to do the injections again even if next month doesn't work. Just pop another frozen one in the next month!

OP posts:
Mammyofasuperbaby · 27/08/2018 16:01

Hoping everything goes well today @CatRen27.
I definitely think DS is a miracle. He's managed to be conceived and survived premature birth at 33 weeks due to severe sudden onset pre eclampsia which nearly killed us and caused ds to stop growing at 28 weeks, have no fluids, failing placenta, feotal distress and then dysphagia at 3 weeks old. He's my hero

CatRen27 · 27/08/2018 22:00

Wow @mammy no wonder that's your user name, what a little hero. He'll be so proud when he's older and hears how strong he is.

I had my egg collection yesterday, they got 18 of them so that's really good news. Waiting for the call today to hear how the dish party went last night with DHs contribution! This is such a crazy process

OP posts:
sodababy2 · 28/08/2018 11:44

I can't believe everything is moving so quickly for you @CatRen27! 18 eggs is amazing! Fingers crossed you get good fertilisation and some lovely embryos. How long will you have to wait til transfer? How are you feeling?

Good luck @Mammyofasuperbaby - you've really been through it.

How's everyone else doing?

LethargicButAwesome · 28/08/2018 11:59

Excitement Caren such an invasive process I really hope it's positive for you, I have around two weeks before period so plenty of dtd - sometimes can't be bothered as too tired but I never know exactly when I'm ovulating so don't want to chance it! I'll let you know in two weeks wether it's been worth it!!

CatRen27 · 28/08/2018 12:17

Thanks @soda and @lethargic yeah it's all happened so quickly. They've managed to fertilize 12 eggs, so we have 4 more days until they're blastocysts and will be frozen for next month. Hope we end up with a good stash of frosties! They'll do the transfer next month around when i naturally ovulate, so I'm pleased to have some time off for my body to recover in time for that. I'm so bloated, i had over 40 follicles so my ovaries were massive!

Good luck @lethargic, do keep us posted!
