TTC First Baby! Anyone else?!

Hi Ladies.

Anyone else on their first cycle and TTCing?! I'm seeing all these beautiful posts about ladies getting pregnant and how they have bonded with people on here soooo, thought I'd make one at the start on my journey!

@byanyothernamerose I feel like that completely. I just feel somethings there. My boobs feel massive and I've got 32G boobs anyways so I know what massive is 😂😂😂

Hey everyone, hope you don't mind me joining!

On my first month of TTC for baby number one, came off the pill and had a withdrawal and now two weeks in. Not expecting much as I know it can take a while (if I'm even lucky enough for it to happen). But feeling optimistic and excited for now!

Coming off my pill has done me wonders, I had kind of gone off sex and was worried it was an issue with me and the hubs but now I'm off I definitely have my drive back which bodes well for TTC! Haha

@sachabloom hi lovely. Oh my gosh same here. My sex drive well there wasn't one. It was such a thorn in my other halves side. Now he's happy!! Good luck x x

I know, it's so irritating that the thing you use so you can have "protected sex" puts you off sex haha. But yeah my hubs is loving life at the moment bless him.

To be honest it's nice because as much as it hadn't became a huge issue for us it was definitely the elephant in the room we weren't doing it much. So now we're doing it lots and potentially going to make a little human I feel really close to him again which is lovely! Conscious about him feeling like a baby making machine, but for now he's just enjoying it.

I'll be honest, I'm a bit of a control freak and I'm only in my first month of trying and I already have all the apps and a draw full of tests! Telling myself to chill out and stop being weird but can't help it lol xxx

@sachabloom you need to get to the point where your life doesn't depend on it, aslong as it doesn't get there enjoy being excited!! :) xx

@sachabloom You sound just like me! This whole thing has possessed me totally this month. I can't stop looking at all these apps! I'm going to keep it calm and fun this month :)

@Delilah7 @CookieWaffle it's really exciting isn't it! I'm terrible because I want to speak about it with everyone but I don't really want to tell anyone we're trying (especially at work!) so have to try and remain calm haha.

@sachabloom I haven't no, because I know it's not always simple. I'm lucky my work will be very understanding will just miss me that's all. It would be perfect xx

Welcome @sachabloom! I am also very obsessive over my apps! 😂 It's normal though, and exciting 😄 I haven't told anyone yet, we're just going to try and keep it secret until we get that BFP! Good luck to you xx

@Delilah7 ah that's nice! I have bad anxiety over how my work are going to be. Someone else went on maternity leave and some of the comments that have been made are terrible (for example; all women do is have babies and take long holidays)

@PixieLoo thank you! My OH was keen on us telling my parents or at least kind of letting them know it was on our minds. He's really close to my parents and as I'm their "baby" (I'm 25, but we are super close to be fair!). He was worried if we just sprung it on them they might not be happy about it, although luckily for us they're buzzing and apart from saying don't get your hopes up (my sister has has had a lot of issues in the past with conception but now has two children so we try not to take it for granted) they had nothing but excited comments.

Don't think I'll keep them informed beyond that though, will just tell them if/when we get to a safe stage :) xxx

@Delilah7 haha if only! To be honest I've looked into it a lot (probably a bit sooner than necessary) but I'm just gonna make sure I do everything by the book and then any comments I can just put down to spite and ignore!

This is all providing i actually get lucky and fall pregnant mind you! Xxx

@sachabloom hi. Yes it is, very excited and nervous. Had so many symptoms already but scared they're due from coming off the pill. My nipples are insanely sore though! Xxx

@Delilah7 me too, no symptoms as of yet but only finished my pill two weeks ago so I really doubt I'll have caught yet anyway! That's exciting though.

When are you planning to test? Xx

@sachabloom I came off end of April so would be nice!! Urm maybe Wednesday... that's the earliest I can do but might wait a little longer! My dad's birthdays Friday so xx

So just a little update.. according to my app I am 3dpo, however I do think I ovulated early this month (i reckon I’m maybe 5dpo). I’ve had sore boobs on and off all day and strange twinges in my stomach!! Hopefully it’s a good sign x

Got engaged last month so my boss is already waiting for me to get pregnant. Only mentioned anything to my mum yesterday. Friends know I want one but no details yet. I've been nervous of saying too much especially with the lower chances at my age! My mum started giving me tmi about her and my dad so slightly regretting mentioning anything now haha!

@CookieWaffle hahahahaha love that. Good old mums hey?! My mum and dad would be super excited. My sister never really took advantage of having an amazing mum like ours when she was pregnant and after... she was very left out. She knows it won't ever be like that with me! Xx

Well just found out I’m going to be an auntie for the 3rd time, kind of wished it was me but over the moon for them as I think they have been trying for a bit! Thanks for the welcome guys! It’s nice to see I’m not on my own in this journey. I wish all the best of luck and bubba dust!

I’m just chilling and not thinking about it see what happens so I’ve told no one!

Can’t help but start planning and changing things in the house at the moment anybody else have that sort of “nesting” started already even though there’s nothing happening yet??? Xxx
