Just wondering if anyone else is ttc after a stillbirth and wanted to join me on this very daunting journey? Smile

Still catching up!
@miami81 your colleague is a dick!! Wtf is wrong with people.
@Testar0ssa I'm glad you got the PM results and it was what you thought. It's an awful thing to have to attend but getting it over with is good. I always felt like I had things hanging over me and I couldn't really grieve until everything was done!

Hi ladies, Good news from me too...

Was utterly convinced after two BFN that AF was on the way.... day came and went and nothing. Drank two large glasses of red wine on Thursday to celebrate four (tough)days at work being over and did a test and got a BFP!

We had planned to go to the peaks for the day quite early as it was my due date so didnt want to be in work, or at home, but doimg something nice. We didnt leave the house until gone ten as i was just shaking in complete disbelief.

I still can't believe it now! It is such early days but trying to stay positive.

PS Showed it to hubs who said 'What's that', 'a pregnancy test.... and it's positive!!!' I replied.... long pause followed by 'We had sex last night and it can tell already you are pregnant?'....

I have explained the conception process several times now and still not got it! 😂🙈

Should point out that did the test the day after the wine! Not whilst drinking as i just realised the above implies!!!

Miami81 · 11/08/2018 08:57

Oh wow congratulations @39Suzy & @toots123 this is lovely lovely news on a bright Saturday morning.
I am sorry AF is being a dick @Bumbers that is very frustrating.
I am 8 wks ish yesterday/today. All seems ok, had another scan with the consultant on Tuesday. Had my booking in with midwife on Wednesday, she was lovely, I was really dreading it after such a poor experience in DD's pregnancy but she was very supportive and lovely. Doesn't feel real to have notes again and there is a long way to go until I start feeling like there might be a baby at the end of this, but also I have had words with myself about being more positive.

39Suzy · 11/08/2018 09:09

Thanks @Miami81! So pleased that everything is progressing well for you. It definitely doesnt feel real yet for me either.... i woke this morning convinced i had dreamt it.

Testar0ssa · 11/08/2018 15:01

Brilliant news @39Suzy @toots123 ! Congratulations! Try to enjoy these early days x

And still got everything crossed for you @Miami81

I think everything is against us this month-we've been away a few days in not really conducive circumstances and then dH is away on his own. Weirdly, suddenly it struck me this week that I don't feel pregnant any more.

39Suzy · 11/08/2018 15:06

Aw @testar0ssa i went through that too. It just his me weels after my loss that i hadn't taken a baby home and, was no longer pregnant. Things tasted different, felt different, normal but you want to be unnormal and pregnant. It sucks, go easy on yourself.

Best of luck this month, hopefully your cycles are behaving and you can give it as good as chance as you can x

Miami81 · 11/08/2018 15:26

Oh ladies I had this. But also the postnatal hormones. DH smelled differently it was really weird.
My hair is falling out in massive clumps at the moment and it makes me so angry, I'm like my baby died can you fuck off with the weird post natal shit now.

Testar0ssa · 11/08/2018 16:10

Amen to that re the hair loss!

I've gone full cliche re emotional upheaval and changed my hair massively.

Miami81 · 11/08/2018 17:58

I went full on cliche as well, way too blonde for my colouring. It's gradually being cut out (or just falling out now).

LilacIris · 11/08/2018 21:42

Congratulations Toots and Suzy.

I hope this week is better for you Testar and Miami. I think I missed my chance this month as well. I’ve annoyingly got various symptoms but I had these last month, and the same things on the same dpo, so I think pregnancy signs is going to be my new normal in the 2ww which is really frustrating!

39Suzy · 12/08/2018 06:32

@lilaciris thanks 😁i cannot believe it still! I had a lot of symptoms including nausea last month and month before which i put down to fluctuating hormones /being a bit more sensitive. And bizarrely, this month i got pregnant, i honestly believed it was the same and AF was coming. You will get there x

My hair fell out a lot about 6 weeks after birth. Although i was more upset about my navel piercing healing up (i had to take the pregnancy bar out for a scan and the ball end snapped and with everything going on, just wasnt a priority and must have just left it a bit long. 22 years i had had it ☹). @Miami81 i was the same, ranting and raving, mainly to hubs, about how i had had enough and this was the final straw!!! My hair then went threw a massive growth spurt (i epilate every month and i just couldn't keep up for a few weeks). My nails have also been brittle, soft then back to brittle again. Thankfully it seems to have settled now.

@testar0ssa how drastic was your hair?!

Is anyone testing in the next few days? I did a count and this thread has had six positives so far 👍 so there is a few more just waiting to happen.

Fingers crossed for us all that those rainbow babies are on their way xx

Miami81 · 12/08/2018 08:32

@LilacIris it is incredibly frustrating when the symptoms are the same, it drove me bananas. I felt like I was just wasting a test when I tested as I felt the same as I had the month before, so your not out til you are out.
Keeping everything crossed for you.

Testar0ssa · 12/08/2018 19:42

I've gone from bright red to grey... and taken off half the length too ...!

39Suzy · 13/08/2018 08:02

Wow @testar0ssa that is a hell of a change!

Testar0ssa · 14/08/2018 20:59

Yup... my hairdresser needed some convincing!

nutellaoffthespoon · 15/08/2018 07:54

Hi everyone.

So sorry I haven't updated. I too have been all about the FB and have neglected the thread.

So pleased things are still looking good Miami and that the professionals have been good so far.

I had some exciting news last week too - got a BFP on Sunday and it's still feeling very surreal.

I have some symptoms - nausea and exhaustion - but really am struggling to believe it's actually happening. I'm really trying to be positive and think if all goes well at my early scan in two weeks I'll allow myself to get properly excited. (Even though I'll still worry throughout of course!).

I'm keeping everything crossed for more good news with those testing soon. It's feeling like a lovely lucky few weeks for us all 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Miami81 · 16/08/2018 15:56

@nutellaoffthespoon this is fantastic news. So happy for you. I hope you are feeling well.

39Suzy · 16/08/2018 20:48

I did a digi today and came up as 2 -3 weeks so definitely pregnant 🙈 (and still in disbelief)....

I started a thread on the FB group as this one feels different to last time. Boobs are enormous but not as painful and sickness has been limited to a few waves of nausea (loads better than last time when i was so queasy and being sick every day from 5 weeks). Feeling exhaused (i dont remember feeling this knackered) and not been sleeping too well either (up in the night for the loo and taking AGES to get back to sleep).

We have the funeral coming up next Thursday which is sad but means that we can start to get some closure and peace. Hope you are all well xx

PartyintheKitchen · 21/08/2018 10:43

Morning everyone, wow, I’ve missed a lot here. I decided to take a full break from MN and the internet for my holiday – which was great for my head, I was so busy with DC and extended family so I didn’t even have time to think about ttc or testing or anything. I just got back yesterday and caught up with the thread - what great news to see these BFPs. So happy for you ladies @Suzy39 @toots123 @nutellaoffthespoon - I can join you ladies too, I got my BFP whilst on holidays Smile I wanted to wait to post this news what with the chemical last month, but it seems I’m still pregnant today and the symptoms are now properly kicking in (nausea, sleeplessness, sore boobs). Fingers and toes crossed it sticks about for 40 weeks!

Hope everyone is doing well and feeling ok this week, sending positive vibes. Also loving the comments about other people’s reactions – fuck them!! @miami81, how was Scotland? Did you manage to do what you wanted for your little girl? @Tessar0ssa how are you doing after the pm results? Sending moral support to you.

39Suzy · 21/08/2018 18:24

Congratulations @partyinthekitchen ! This group is turning into quite a lucky charm 😊

Did my second digi last night and is now 3+ so still happening and feeling very unreal. Sickness hasnt kicked in really, kinda hoping that it doesn't this time (i was yaking up every day from 5 weeks).

Hope Scotland was lovely @miami81 😊

Miami81 · 21/08/2018 19:10

Congratulations @PartyintheKitchen we are a busy little bunch aren't we!
Our wee break is at the end of September so still just trucking away at the moment.
Had a scan today, all good. We saw little buddy arms and legs jigging about.

PartyintheKitchen · 22/08/2018 12:11

@Suzy39, that's great to see your tests progressing. You must be spending a fortune on pee sticks! In fairness I'm as bad, I've tested 4 times since I got the + as I worry it will disappear. I actually think we must have tested + on the same day, on the 14th Aug. As I was on holidays I was not holding back on naice wine and stinky cheese, gah, hopefully it's ok.

@Miami81 So good that your scan went well today, a wiggly bubs is a great sign. Hope you're feeling well. Sorry - thought you had gone to Scotland already. Sept will be a nice time to be there.

It does seems to be a lucky charm thread, I think we could all do with some serious luck ladies, we all deserve it Smile

Hope everyone well today x

Testar0ssa · 22/08/2018 12:59

Congratulations to @PartyintheKitchen !

Brilliant news for you all with everything progressing as it should. Moral support continues xx

As I said, I'm very doubtful I will be joining your ranks this month. I'm currently waiting out the 2ww. I'd forgotten how time drags...

I've found a couple of major errors on the PM report which had me reeling with rage. I've calmed down since then though and, having had some time out of work on hols, I currently feel more able to keep hold of my equilibrium.

Funny how one day you feel relatively fine and another is quite a different story...

PartyintheKitchen · 22/08/2018 18:20

@Testar0ssa so sorry you came across errors in the pm report. You'd think they would at least get that right wouldn't you. Take the good day, it's a rollercoaster so you may as well savour the highs. Sending a hug x
