Cleo - I heard that excess hormones store in fat, and boobs are made mostly of fat, so that's why some women get the painful boobs while other women get cramps or lower back pain if that's where they store their fat.

But it could be bollocks, I never actually looked it up to see if it was true.

Like mimosa, I did the fertility vitamins to death and then eventually gave up a while ago. I guess I should start again...

MATTSMAMMA · 04/06/2018 14:16

Just bobbing in to say hello! Sorry I’ve not had chance to post lately - it’s been a bit full on with one thing and another. I. We’d to catch up with all the posts! Only had chance to briefly skim through. Hope everyone ok xx

MATTSMAMMA · 04/06/2018 14:17

Should read - I need to catch up on all the posts!!

CritterTamer · 04/06/2018 14:29

Hi folks, how is everyone today?

Cleo I wish I knew, I know it’s caused by post ovulation progesterone rise but no idea why it happens some months and not others. I think the size of your corpus luteum has something to do with it?

AF finally arrived this morning so I’m all set to start down regulating in jections tomorrow and stims a few days after that it’s exciting and scary all at once. Just keep telling myself I should have a much higher chance of success this month. Also had to pay the clinic bill this morning and that was terrifying too lol.

Off to try one of the YogaYin videos now.
Good luck at the docs tomorrow Karigan!

Orchid222 · 04/06/2018 14:35

I get the fact that boobs can hurt when progesterone is high around ovulation what I don't get is why it happens in some cycles and not others.

Cleo I only got sore boobs for a few cycles last year and then it went away but I still got a bfp so I don't think you're necessarily missing anything, maybe it's one of these things that comes and goes (well it did for me anyway).

Mimosa-I'm ok. Somehow I have survived the wait but wasted countless hours on google...read a lot about blighted ovum and convinced myself that's the case with me so (hopefully) I'm not too disappointed if it's bad news. I still don't have any cramping or bleeding but equally no pregnancy symptoms, either. My scan is tomorrow morning so less than 24 hrs away and I will know. I'm like Karigan now, I just want to know no matter the outcome, the wait is the worst part and I'm really tired of not knowing.

Haha I clearly didn't see your message before posting mine Critter but funny we said the same things. It'd be interesting to find out why it happens some months and not others.
Good luck with IVF Critter, keeping everything crossed for you!

Same to you Orchid - I really hope you get a good outcome tomorrow - I’ll be thinking of you xxx

CritterTamer · 04/06/2018 15:49

@Chatbash72 - thank you for the Yoga Yin recommendation I thoroughly enjoyed it! I’m a totally stressed out and anxious person generally and tried some other types of yoga and meditation therapies in the past but they’ve just never worked for me as i’m never usually able to switch off (not even when sleeping as I usually only sleep very lightly for 30-60 minutes at a time before waking to every tiny sound!) That lady is amazing though - something about her voice and I’m pretty sure that I was almost asleep by the end of it and I can NEVER sleep during the day. Even my 3 dogs were all out for the count lying next to me lol. I’ll definitely be trying to make time to do that every day now I feel incredible after it xxx

Karigan198 · 04/06/2018 16:08

I am totally going mad with frustration! DP has decided I am pregnant as well so he’s going to be disappointed if this is all just my body playing up. And if it that I’m going to be livid about the bloating lol. I can’t suck my tummy in for some reason and look fat even though I’ve actually lost weight!!!

Cleozeta · 04/06/2018 17:07

Orchid - good luck for tomorrow. Fingers crossed for the best outcome.
And good luck Karigan, fingers crossed for you too.
Critter good luck with the IVF
Let us know how it goes!

As for the sore boobs thing, it's weird as I didn't get that when I was younger so maybe it's actually a positive thing?

I am getting really annoyed with my self annalysing and symptom spotting. When I got my bfp I had distictive implantation pains on cd 4 and 5 (very much like ovulation pains) and now I know what that was, I am waiting for it to happen again. And it's not, so now I'm convinced I'm out this month and I'm only 4 dpo
sigh

CritterTamer · 04/06/2018 17:17

Don’t feel too down Cleo, remember that implantation normally happens between days 6 and 9, and not everybody feels it- it’s probably like the sore boobs thing and different each time! You’re definitely not out yet at 4dpo 😊

Karigan198 · 04/06/2018 17:57

Apparently only 1/3 at best get implantation so I wouldn’t rely on that too much. Keeping fingers crossed for everyone

Orchid222 · 04/06/2018 18:14

Thanks Cleo. I agree with Critter and Karigan re: implantation. I had implantation bleeding with ds but absolutely nothing this time around so every pregnancy is different and you're not out until AF arrived.

Cleozeta · 04/06/2018 19:49

I guess it may depend where it implants too, and yes I think it happened early last time. Will just have to wait and see. It's good to have hope.

Chatbash72 · 04/06/2018 20:06

Orchid222 I've had implantation bleeding in last 3 cycles bit only a m/c to show for it.. it is frustrating but yes every pregnancy is diff.. keeping everything crossed for you tomorrow 🤞
Karigan198 hoping that a bfp is coming..
CritterTamer I'm so glad yoga yin relaxes you.. I haven't done it for a little while.. house renovations distracted me.. and good luck with the jabs..
BooseysMom hope you are feeling a bit better today.. keep the faith all of you.. although not practicing what I preach 😞
good luck and hugs to everyone you are all keeping me a little sane.. 💕💕

littlemimosa · 04/06/2018 20:39

Orchid - good luck for tomorrow, really hope you get the best news.

Critter - good luck to you too.

I did Yoga Yin for fertility too today! I think I found the right one...The Australian lady? Sexy Cat pose made me lol but what a good move to get blood flow to the pelvis:-)

minime2017 · 04/06/2018 20:58

I officially hate ic tests. Have poas for past 2 days from 10dpo ish on. I can see barely there, faint pink lines but I think they're evaps or just indents. I've squinted til my eyes are sore but know its a waste of time! (Posting this to bring on AF as thats what will undoubtedly happen when i begin to get any sniff of a hope!!)
Hope the rest of you ladies are slightly less cheesed off than me this evening.

Thank you Chat and Mimosa. Despite of being as prepared as I can for bad news tomorrow I'm absolutely terrified... it will be a long night. Nite nite.

Good luck orchid! Will be thinking of you tomorrow....

shinyblackdog · 05/06/2018 07:03

Whatever happens today orchid I think you're really brave. I don't know how you have managed the last two weeks without going completely loopy. I have everything crossed for you.

Booseys can you send me a link to the one child families thread? There seem to be a few, I can't see which one's current. I'm now eight days from the end of my progesterone course and no withdrawal bleed. Last time it came day five, so I'm starting to lose hope.

AtrocityNeedles · 05/06/2018 09:06

Good luck today orchid, what time is your scan?

Karigan198 · 05/06/2018 09:07

Hoping for good news for you Orchid. I’m amazed by your strength

Orchid222 · 05/06/2018 10:59

Hi ladies, thanks for your good wishes.

Unfortunately, it's not good news. The gestational sac has grown but not even a yolk sac visible. The sonographer said it's the size to call it a MC yet and because of that, they'll do one more scan in a week. They had me wait for a midwife to go through MC options and she said she'd call it a MC at this point already. So I opted for 1 more scan in the meantime waiting to miscarry naturally, if that doesn't happen they'll give me medication to help speed things up (I'd rather avoid D&C if possible). I was prepared for that so don't feel particularly surprised but gutted anyway, especially that time is not on my side and I'm desperate for DS not to be an only child.

Cleo- can you please remind me if you had a period between your MC and the scan when they said you're about to ovulate? They told me to wait for my period to return before trying again but I've read online that women got pregnant straight away without a period in between. Just anxious to start ttc as soon as the MC is over.

Oops sorry I meant to say the sonographer said it wasn't the size to call it a MC yet.
