Morning ladies, I'm officially out...AF got me this morning 😥 knew it was looming. Mild cramps have been rumbling away on and off for days and have really hit today with light bleed. Just in time for holiday. .lovely.
Any good news out there to cheer me up? I need it today xx

BooseysMom · 02/06/2018 10:31

Omg ..i've just been rude to the Jehovah's Witnesses who just turned up at the door!! Basically i told them to go away but politely! Its prob just as well AF has turned up otherwise i'll be bothered by them constantly! ! This way they won't come again..but i feel bad now as usually i'm alot nicer Shock

CritterTamer · 02/06/2018 11:42

@Chatbash72 - thank you I’ve found her! Gonna start on Monday afternoon now that I’ve finally got my part time contract - looking forward to some stress relief and relaxation 😊

@BooseysMom - sorry to hear AF showed up for you - poor Jehovah’s witnesses! I’m sure they are used to it though! I on the other hand am waiting impatiently for my AF to show up - for the first time in my life ever I’m anxious for her to show so that I can start my IVF cycle, so of course she’s late sigh

AtrocityNeedles · 02/06/2018 12:35

Afternoon!

BooseysMom, sorry to hear about AF.

KeepingTheFaith, I just realised I never answered your questions, sorry! You don't wear it all the time, just at night, and you don't wear it when on your period or even when spotting. You have to take it out before having sex, which is a bit of a mood killer, but my strategy around that is to decide whether we are doing it or not that night Grin, and if DH agrees, then we do it and I put the sensor in afterwards.

Speaking of which, stupid sensor told me yesterday I'd be ovulating today and this morning it told me I will ovulate tomorrow Confused

minime2017 · 02/06/2018 21:38

Think I'll be joining you @Booseys . Have felt woosy and tired all day, plus have pre af feeling in my tummy so Im guessing she'll come a knocking tomorrow. If so my cycle is back to my regular 26 day with my regular 11 luteal phase which is good. Pms symptoms off the scale today and have noticed them worse since mc.

BooseysMom · 02/06/2018 21:39

Critter & Atrocity.. Thank you for your msg's.
Critter. . Typical AF is late for you now you're embarking on IVF. It's like she knows! Good luck x
I'm fed up as i've always dreamt of a spring baby so i planned that we conceive over the next few months. But as the months then years go by it gets more and more unlikely. .i guess at 46 beggars can't be choosers. Sorry to be so down everyone 😭

CritterTamer · 02/06/2018 22:12

Isn’t it strange how AF seems to come along for lots of us at the same time! Sorry you’re feeling so down @BooseysMom - AF arriving is most depressing day of the month for sure and it definitely takes a few days to start feeling optimistic about the next cycle again.

I’m still waiting here - it’s definitely like she knows and is doing it deliberately - this has been the oddest month - first having to use condoms around ovulation time and now sitting here desperate for AF to show.... my whole world for the last 6 months has been turned upside down lol!

@mimime - FX that AF doesn’t show for you xxx

Hope all you other ladies are doing ok - Orchid / Karigan- any updates?

Cleozeta · 02/06/2018 22:21

Hi ladies, sorry to hear of AF for those that don't want it no no AF for those that do (bloomin typical!)
I'm on the 2ww now, 2 or 3 dpo I think, so feeling nice and relaxed now the stress of ov has happened and the stress of AF's appearence is a way off. My favourite time of the month.
On another note has anyone tried natural progesterone cream? Mine arrived in the post today but too scared to use it

CritterTamer · 02/06/2018 22:26

Hey Cleo, I’ve never used it but I’ve read that it’s very safe provided you’re absolutely sure that ovulation has finished. I thought about using it to try to lengthen my short LP so read up on it but then DH surprised me by agreeing to the IVF so I never tried it.

Chatbash72 · 03/06/2018 00:33

Oh goodness ladies, I have lost track of who's due af but all sounds pants I'm sorry.. I'm day 26 ( early hours) of my usual 28-30 day cycle.. Kindara says day 30 and actually she's ( not sure why refer to app as her..) been on track all this cycle.. my boobs are killing me, can't even lie properly on my front.. but boobs LIE during a cycle so can't be relied upon 😡Nipples not mega sore ( sorry tmi ) like they were before mc but they didn't get sore till after day 30. Have had days of fanny snot Karigan1 🤣🤣 but comes and goes. Have been v good with eating warm food and drink but did have an elderflower cordial with cold tonic water an ice last night, mum in law poured it and thought I would look a bit freakish if I started pouring warm water into it. Had a big attic clear and sort and put the grown out of cotbed and cot we had our for my sisters little one staying over up there, car seat into the "down the dump" pile but dh took it out. I'm not giving up but just think that having it all around isn't helpful. Out of sight out of mind. Who knows... feeling a little melancholy but when I have had every slight crampy twinge or tube ache I think " this is it" and I'm not sure it's too helpful for me.. so I'm ploughing on organising things and slowly getting through the redecorating and plenty of bits I need to dangle on a high ladder for getting done before any hint of anything.. and taking eldest child to Paris in July. Booked train tickets are probably the biggest magnet for hg..
sending big baby dust flurries to you all.. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

weasledee · 03/06/2018 08:29

Hi just checking in!
I'm about 8 DPO and I'm going to try and not do any early testing as it just drives you mad! Wish me luck Grin

Karigan198 · 03/06/2018 08:32

.

Karigan198 · 03/06/2018 08:34

Sorry touch screen phone. No update here so far! I’m now 5 days late. My boobs are massive (for me) and sore, my lower back hurts and for the last 11 days I’ve had tons of slippy thick cm. I think that might be tapering off a little now though.

But every test is negative. It’s very annoying!

Cleozeta · 03/06/2018 09:37

Good luck chat & weasle! I know how hard it is to early test, but for me I found it would jinx it!!

Karigan are you sure you ovulated when you think you did? Did you do opk or bbt? Are you testing with a frer? All signs sound promising!

Critter - thanks yeah ov has definitely happened and I've no idea why I am scared to use it!!
I'm also trying pineapple this cycle too, probably a load of codswollop but anything is worth a try!!

Cleozeta · 03/06/2018 09:37

*not to early test

Karigan198 · 03/06/2018 09:39

I am sure when I ovulated. My body’s pretty obvious and does just one massive surge of ewcm for that one day. Plus I use opks. Its all very strange!!!

littlemimosa · 03/06/2018 10:01

Morning ladies,

Booseys - so sorry AF arrived, it's for sure the worst day of the month. Those little hopes you've been harbouring just come crashing down. Big hug from me.

Weasel - good luck for this month. Step away from the early testing!

Cleo - good to hear that you're feeling happier, fingers crossed for increased fertility for you.

Mini - fingers crossed it's not AF.

Critter - fingers crossed AF arrives soon! How odd to write that on here....

Chat - I regularly have those dilemmas about baby stuff. Our loft holds prams, baby baths, bouncers, moses baskets, cots and on and on...I just can't let it all go yet. Some things I'm fine with, car seats being one.

Karigan - how frustrating. Hope you get an answer soon.

As for me, not tested but convinced it's my period. Not been able to get a test as been travelling for a couple of days. Home now so might try to get one but just feel foolish to even think i'd be pregnant:-(

Atrocity - thanks for the info. Yes i''ve always been v slim. No i''ve not lost any weight at all. I eat plenty but very little junk. Am starting to wonder if i should relax things a bit and start to eat a bit more cr@p to get a bit of fat on me lol. I do eat plenty of good fats though. i eat plenty of olive oil, avocados, full fat dairy, coconut oil, nuts, seeds etc.

BooseysMom · 03/06/2018 11:25

Thanks Critter Smile
Little: Thanks for the hug Smile. Feeling pretty desperate now ..migraine on the way and heavy bleed. I swear they get worse as i get older.
Whooshing baby dust towards everyone patiently waiting! Xx

Chatbash72 · 03/06/2018 13:09

BooseysMom ooh yuck and in this heat.. poor you 💕

BooseysMom · 03/06/2018 22:21

I know Chat! Grin But at least they don't last too long. It's calming down a bit now then it returns for another bash before trailing off. I must be down though as i've just posted on the one-child families thread which i only ever do when AF gets me!!

Karigan198 · 04/06/2018 09:30

That does not sound pleasant booseys. I hope they are mercifully short. I usually have pretty heavy but last few cycles they’ve been a bit light.

I’m STILL in wtf is going on land. Drs appt tomorrow. A week late. Waking up every night to pee, feel bloated, still excessive cm and still got sore boobs. If it wasn’t for the negative tests I would say I was definitely pregnant 😕. At the point now where I don’t care if I am or not I just want to know!!!!

Orchid222 · 04/06/2018 12:14

Booseys-sorry about AF and the migraine, hope they both pass soon.

Karigan-that is sooo bizarre! Glad you're seeing a dr tomorrow to finally get a resolution to the mystery. Hope it's a good one for you and all the pregnancy have been lying!

Orchid222 · 04/06/2018 12:14

*pregnancy tests

OP posts:
Cleozeta · 04/06/2018 12:50

Good luck at docs karigan. I guess they'll do a blood test for pregnancy? I hope you get some answers!

On another note, why do our boobs hurt after ovulation? Just wondering as mine do every month, have done for about a year, but after this current ov boobs are not sure. Could I be lacking something now? Ir lacking something before. Bodies are so weird.

Also was talking to a friend yesterday who has been studying fertility things for about 10 years, she says we would benefit more from taking folate, than folic acid at our age. Anyone else heard this?

littlemimosa · 04/06/2018 13:16

Karigan - you must be going mad with frustration! I hope you get answers soon.

Booseys- hope you're feeling a bit better today hun.

Orchid - how's things with you?

Cleo - i suddenly stopped getting sore boobs post ov about 6 months ago (after having it for years). I have no idea why and can't answer your questions, would love to know myself. I find it a bit worrying in one way.... Yes i've heard about folate v folic acid but not in relation to age. I've heard it in relation to thyroid issues. I was taking food-state pre-conception vits last year which do contain folate instead of folic acid but i stopped as i wasn't falling pregnant and they are eye-watering expensive. The website/company is Wild Nutrition if anyone is interested.
