Mrs Radford mum to 20, is now having number 21!! She's 42 her fertility must be off the chart

BooseysMom · 29/05/2018 15:46

minime2017 ..this last cycle my bbs have been off the scale with soreness and exactly like Cleo says, they seemed to get better then worse with stabbing pain inside too. So much fun!

Faith.. I'm due af on Monday too..the first day of our hols! What great timing! The ultra sore boobs are def progesterone rise i reckon as every fertile phase my symptoms are getting unbearable. I'm on 2ww now and just think it's hormones playing tricks again. My bloods done recently were fine so def still ovulating but it feels like my body is screaming out "quick dtd now!" for what seems like weeks and it's bloody exhausting!! Shock

Karigan1 · 29/05/2018 17:12

Hmmmm 14dpo today and no spotting yet which usually comes before AF. Due tomorrow! If AF doesn’t show I’ll go buy a test in lunchtime I think!

Still thinking negatively at present. Don’t want to get my hopes up!

AtrocityNeedles · 29/05/2018 17:40

Any other symptoms? Heaviness, increased appetite, loose stools?

Karigan1 · 29/05/2018 17:54

Plenty but keep reminding myself that it’s probably just the end of cycle progesterone effect. Although well pleased with the new massive (for me) boobs this cycle 😂😂

Orchid222 · 29/05/2018 17:55

Well Karigan I've had a v good felling about you since you spotted and I said it was probably implantation bleeding. I still have a very good feeling about you, I hope this is your month.

Hi ladies, how are you all doing? I started looking at an IVF buddies thread but couldn’t get into it and really missed you all LOL.

I caught the flu and been feeling like death for 5 days now - on the plus side it takes my mind off the TTC miserableness lol.

Fingers crossed for you tomorrow Karaganda!
@Orchid - any news or updates? I still hold out hope for you xxx

CritterTamer · 29/05/2018 20:33

Omg Karigan not Karaganda - stupid iPad!

weasledee · 29/05/2018 20:49

Good luck karrigan! Excited for tomorrow for you! :)

Karigan1 · 29/05/2018 21:46

I kind of like Karaganda lol. Be interested to see what happens tomorrow!

minime2017 · 29/05/2018 21:49

Good luck @karrigan! Heres hoping for some positive news tomorrow.

littlemimosa · 29/05/2018 21:58

Good luck Karigan for tomorrow!
Orchid - how are things?
Just been catching up on the chat I’ve missed.
Re the sore boobs, I’ve had those post ovulation for as long as I can remember but not for the last few months. It’s very odd and a bit worrying in a way. Like why would they suddenly stop after years of having it?
I’m also having a very odd thing going on here. I was expecting AF around about now and indeed I did start bleeding yesterday morning. So I popped the mooncup in and lo and behold there was practically nothing in it all day. So I though oh well it’s just not got going properly so I popped it in again this morning and again just a few drops of blood all day! It’s so odd for me to spot. I’ve literally never had a single episode of spotting ever. I’m now really worried about my lining. Is this my period?? It could be I guess because I ovulated stupidly early this month (CD5) so I’d written this month off anyway. We did dtd on CD5 but I’m certainly not thinking I’m pregnant. Getting a bit frustrated now with my cycles:(

CritterTamer · 29/05/2018 22:13

Just an idea, but if you did ovulate on CD5 I would guess that you would have a thinner than usual lining? I’m no expert but sure I read somewhere that most of the lining thickening happens before ovulation and it doesn’t get much thicker afterwards. That might explain it? Also I think if progesterone levels are a bit out of the norm for any reason that can cause spotting also.

Wish I had more definite answers for you xxx

littlemimosa · 29/05/2018 22:22

Thanks Critter, I was thinking the same thing. It makes total sense. Early ovulation is the bane of my life. Grrrr.

Orchid222 · 29/05/2018 23:02

Mimosa-you've tried agnus castus and soya before no? Did they help at all? There must be something that will delay it a bit, even if it's just a few days?

As for me, the wait is almost unbearable. I have so many things to do yet all I'm doing is googling other women's stories even though I think I've read them all already and know it can really go 50/50. Since I still don't have any symptoms I'm assuming mine won't go well. I should've asked to get my hsg levels checked last week...Oh well too late now by the time I'll get the results I'll be going back for the scan.

What Cd are you on now little? O

chendy78 · 30/05/2018 00:08

Hi,
Can I join this thread?
I turned 40 a few months ago and we're thinking of going for no3- not sure about risks and how easy it would be and we really can't afford it but just think I'd regret not going for it. I wouldn't be able to start TTC for a few more months because of work but this thread seems very hopeful.

BooseysMom · 30/05/2018 09:16

Welcome to the fold Chendy! You've found the best thread currently on its 2nd part as the 1st got to its limit! I conceived my 1st and only at 40. Trying for no.2 for 3 years now and I'm 46 and realistic about our chances. We're like you in that we also can't afford another but of regretting it if we don't try. Childcare is our main worry as we have no family support and i don't want to stop working.
Someone at work told me her mum had her at 43. That was when i wanted another but as the years have gone by we lose hope. But then we feel v grateful for our beautiful ds. It makes you love them more and i know i spoil him a little too much!
Wishing you lots of luck and baby dust x

Cleozeta · 30/05/2018 09:58

Boosey, the thing you said you are getting with your boobs this cycle, where they get better then worse again? That's actually what got on my bfp cycle. That's some hope for you!
Mimosa might be worth doing a test!
Karigan yours sounds promising too! Hoping for a good batch of bfp's here this month!

Orchid it's a good sign that you are not bleeding or anything yet, keeping those fingers crossed for you. How much longer do you have to wait now?

I had a look at the clearblue opk's - so expensive!! I use the advance monitor which is equally expensive but does show high fertility as well as peak. I use cheapo's along side it. To be honest I only use the monitor for the satisfactory smiley face.

Welcome chendy

Cleozeta · 30/05/2018 10:07

So, I had a surprising day yesterday. I was booked in for the vacum procedure to remove retained products from the mmc as last weeks medical management failed.

So I went in early for the pre procedure scan, and to my - and the sonographers - shock, it was all gone (how, we have no idea, they suggested it may have reabsorbed) but not only that, but I had a 21mm follicle ready to go. They said my lining was really good at 15mm and the egg was right then and there about to go. I was expecting, with my track record of crazy hormones, to take months to get back on track, I'm so happy and relieved!! Legged it home to dtd as a matter of urgency, and now back in 2ww land!

Karigan1 · 30/05/2018 10:11

Oh that’s good news Cleo. Sending positive vibes your way!

Orchid222 · 30/05/2018 10:25

Cleo- excellent news! Hopefully that's the egg that will do the trick! Great that everything's back to normal so quickly.

Cb opks are expensive but for me worth it, I would've been lost without them since I had no idea when I ovulated and cheapies never worked for me.

My scan is next Tuesday so another 6 days to go :( I haven't had any bleeding but I read online that some women didn't bleed until around 10 weeks! And the lack of symptoms is really bothering me, with ds I had sore boobs right away.

Karigan- good luck today, keep us posted!
