Cleozeta not sure I have yet.. although re mood swings Christ I could have been Perimenopausal all my life.. 🤣🤣

starsandstuff · 17/05/2018 18:52

Interesting reading that chat about mum's and menopause (sorry, nearly feels like I was eavesdropping) :) My Mum had a hysterectomy at 37 so I've no clue what her natural age would have been, but realised the other day that my gran would have been 43 when she had her so there's that! I'm 1dpo I think so this will be my first TWW. Going to try hard not to symptom spit or take tests too early.

BooseysMom · 17/05/2018 19:37

I feel the same Chat that I've been peri menopausal all my bloody life!! The mood swings are a menace and i can't believe DH has stayed with me for so long! I think i worded the mums and menopause thing wrong as you're right, it can't be that clean cut. What i should have said was we tend to follow our mums with when we enter menopause and not that it's likely we'll have our last babies 10 years before that time.. Sorry about that! There are so many theories out there and ways to stave off menopause. .who knows what's right. .it's different for every woman. Yes so lots of chucking of baby dust is what's needed! Xx

BooseysMom · 17/05/2018 19:45

Btw, Chat, I loved your story. WAS ARE NOT AMUSED!! Grin xx

Cleozeta · 17/05/2018 20:07

I am working on the belief that we do NOT follow our mums menopause!! And I'm sticking to it or I might as well give up and go home now

Chatbash72 · 17/05/2018 20:57

Apologies BooseysMom I may have been a tad touchy.. my mother and I don't really have a relationship.. another long ramble that I will save you all from.. 🤦‍♀️ thank goodness I get my maternal nature from my granny.

BooseysMom · 17/05/2018 21:28

Yes absolutely with you Cleo Smile...
No apology required Chat. Your msg was great and yes things do seem to be changing. I wonder if having babies later in life was frowned upon years ago. You talking about your family and not having a relationship with your mum, which i'm sorry to hear, brings to mind my disfunctional family... I get all sorts of crap from certain members of mine. One of them, my mum, has passed away now but i still get it from another one. So if i was to have another dc now i would be facing that shit. Tbh I don't think i'd bother telling them!

BooseysMom · 17/05/2018 21:32

Good luck to hmmm123...another 2018 BFP maybe?!

Chatbash72 · 17/05/2018 21:32

BooseysMom I would let my lot know once it was born.. would be a lot of grief from my folks.. so I hear you on that.. my mum in law is a godsend..

Chatbash72 · 18/05/2018 09:08

Why oh why does OH always stressed and exhausted at OV time!! Thank goodness they are simple creatures in the morning time.. or lazy ?? Never mind job done.. (well not really a job ) but kids weren't late for school so result.. 🤣🤣🤣

KeepingTheFaith9 · 18/05/2018 09:33

Well done Chat - mine OH left before I had chance and now I’m away 48 hours so that egg better stay put !!! 😬😬😬 I need a Monday release date! X

littlemimosa · 18/05/2018 14:06

Chat - my kids HAVE been a bit late for school on occasion for that exact reason lol.

Interesting chat re menopause and perimenopause. I’ve no real idea if I’m showing signs of peri as I still have regular periods and my hormones feel balanced plus blood tests were fine but I do notice cycle changes such as early ovulation recently. I think there’s a lot doctors don’t know about female hormones. I reckon a lot is guesswork.

Chatbash72 · 18/05/2018 16:35

littlemimosa.. priceless!!
There are some lovely recipes for warm salads in May Tesco mag.. for anyone who is interested..
I have afternoon tiredness but I assume that's just late nights, kids and work not a peri menopause symptom.. friends my age are split into 2 groups those who have little ones so mid 40's and still producing and those who are the same age as the other group but have started with irregular periods.. so I guess it is just a guessing game..

Cleozeta · 18/05/2018 17:57

Had my scan today to check if mc has completed (long story that I won't go into) but sonographer did say my ovaries look nice and healthy with lots of folicles. I'll take that.

BooseysMom · 18/05/2018 19:47

That's amazing Cleo... Go forth with renewed vigour!!

BooseysMom · 18/05/2018 19:53

littlemimosa.. Yes, i agree alot must be guess work. Plus everyone is different. I went to the gp recently with various symptoms which could either been the onset of peri, very early pregnancy or a very bad period which wasn't causing the normal cramps but pain further up..and she asked had i been taking pain killers. .i said a few, not many ...the verdict was the pain killers were masking the cramp. No, i'd only had about 4 over a few days...it ended up being a stomach bug as the whole family went down with it! So yes, guesswork is alot of it for sure!

littlemimosa · 18/05/2018 20:09

Aw Cleo that must’ve been nice to hear after what’s just happened. Hope you’re ok after your scan x

Weasel so glad you’ve got an appointment sorted.

Chat - I’m not actually kidding. Not proud of it but if ovulation is imminent and it’s the only chance in the say to dtd we will. And thanks for the salad tip. Will try to get that magazine. Warm salads to me sounds like say cold leaves but with added chicken and bacon for example. Eg a Caesar salad. What I can’t get to grips with is warmed up lettuce leaves as Orchid described them!

littlemimosa · 18/05/2018 20:09

Day not say.

Chatbash72 · 18/05/2018 22:09

littlemimosa one of the salads i think had pan heated spinach with other yummy things.. not sure I cold heat up lettuce.. but am trying to not have anything cold.. room temp I can cope with.. and I'm not doing acupuncture or taking herbs.. but will try keeping myself warm..

Chatbash72 · 19/05/2018 17:31

Well I think egg has left the station, no more niggling left sided pain.. darn couldn't get to dtd this morning.. might try later "Netflix and chill" once little ones have gone to bed.. managed it 3 times in the last 5 days so hopefully enough swimmers about.. 🤦‍♀️😳🤣

KeepingTheFaith9 · 19/05/2018 22:22

Well done Chat!! I have some pain and a bit of EWCM but won’t be home for another 24hrs... 😬 3 times in 5 days is pretty good tho - good on u! X

minime2017 · 20/05/2018 07:12

Chatbash Im still waiting and have the horrible feeling that its either happened really early or its not happening at all. Im using the CB ovulation sticks and im seeing circles daily. My ic OPKs have started to get darker so I guess its possible its still to come but ive no ewcm which isnt a great sign. Feeling like bursting into tears quite a lot...does anyone else feel over emotional around ovulation? My emotions have been totally heightened since the mc.

Cleozeta · 20/05/2018 09:28

Have any of you tried vitex? I'm thinking of starting that once I've got this horrible mc out of the way. I've heard its good for helping ovulation and also raising progesterone

Minime I'm dreading all this stress about ov again, it's such a worry. Anovulatory cycles are horrendous. Hope you get your +opk soon! Are your cycles generally regular again now?

hmmm123 · 20/05/2018 10:45

Still no AF here but cycles have been weird so going to wait until tonight tomorrow to test as feel like AF will come and don't want to waste a test ..

Hope you are all enjoying sunshine!

minime2017 · 20/05/2018 10:48

They were generally like clockwork pre mc. This one past has been the first proper one since and it was longer by 3 days so its possible ov will be later, say cd 14/ 15 instead of cd11/12. Im CD 12 today and no sign. I did have ewcm during af and the side cramps. I had some niggles yday some remain hopeful its still coming. Trying not to stress as i know (and my bfp proved to me) that worrying too much is counter productive. How are you feeling @cleo. I hope things get moving for you soon.
