Hoping to find some ladies in a similar situation to either help keep the crazy at bay... or provide company to safely let it out! Grin

DH and I had planned to wait until May-ish to start trying for #2. Our DD is 15.5 months and we are due to complete on our new house next month so wanted to wait. I am still BF but only a couple of times a day. Periods returned at 8 months and have been every 29-33 days since. Downloaded the sodding Ovia app last month, "just to start monitoring my cycles"... instead I am already devoting an unhealthy amount of time to staring at it and subsequently became fixated about DTD on my ovulation day (usually around CD18-20). Successfully managed to seduce DH during DD’s nap this weekend on CD18 and am now descending into madness checking CM and wondering about every minor twinge! Blush

So I guess we are now officially TTC! The madness, upset and hoping begins again!

Please tell me there are some of you in the same boat?!

It is hard not to get hopes up @Mrsbrightside. I've been similar, knew the chances were low as we had missed the second half of fertile week due to illness but I still found myself symptom spotting until AF arrived this morning.

Naschkatze · 24/04/2018 19:57

Be kind to yourselves MrsBrightside and Bluebell. It’s normal to be hopeful! And helpful I think too.

I think I got a bfp over the weekend.. well actually it was pretty clear but I don’t really believe it yet. It wasn’t meant to happen this soon, especially with our half hearted trying! Obviously feel very lucky. But also extremely cautious. I had a molar pregnancy before DS and that was pretty horrific so I won’t be celebrating in any way until I have proof that it is an actual developing baby creating that second line.

McG1984 · 24/04/2018 20:05

@8daysaweek do we assume the faint line getting darker in the strips means it should happen soon?

8DaysAWeek · 24/04/2018 22:02

We can do @McG1984

For me the second line is pretty faint then all of a sudden one day it gets significantly darker, and usually the next day it turns positive. I wouldn't think too much about the odd one off, slightly darker line though, as that can happen often. But I do believe most people have a "fade in" pattern with their opks Smile

8DaysAWeek · 24/04/2018 22:02

All fingers crossed for you @Naschkatze !!

McG1984 · 25/04/2018 08:06

Thanks @8daysaweek gotten gradually darker the past two days so hoping for a positive today as have had no joy with digital ones

8DaysAWeek · 27/04/2018 08:22

@8DaysAWeek given the sensitivity of FRERs I'd say test again in a couple of days. In my opinion squinters on FRERs shouldn't be trusted. Keeping everything crossed for you that an obvious pink line appears in a few day. 🤞

8DaysAWeek · 27/04/2018 10:44

Thanks for having a look! I did one yesterday too (cos I'm crazy) and there was a line which I was and still am convinced was an indent. This line is different 🤔

Fortunate I don't have any tests left so will wait a couple of days.

Next month: don't keep tests in the house

HidCat · 27/04/2018 11:39

@8DaysAWeek it's so tempting isn't it! Interesting that the line is different - good luck!

Naschkatze · 28/04/2018 11:04

Hmm @8DaysAWeek. I think I can see something and that’s not like me.
But really, 8dpo, what were you thinking?! Grin
I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!

8DaysAWeek · 28/04/2018 14:06

Tell me about it @Naschkatze !! Absolute idiot. Showed some self control in Asda today and DIDNT buy a pregnancy test. Staying strong for a few more days... Grin

Hi everyone can I join the thread? DS is 12 months and we are on cycle 1 of ttc. I'm naturally obsessive so no chance I won't obsess with this! Just read the thread and off to download the ovia app!

8DaysAWeek · 28/04/2018 15:53

Hello @dragonmummy17 !

HappyClappyDinosaur · 29/04/2018 12:06

Congrats cherry! I've just been catching up after a month of back to work and nursery disease fest! So due to all of that and dh being away loads for work, we only dtd once on the last fertile day (according to ovia) I'm 2 days "late" had a bfn each day, but am pouring with cm and feel a bit off. Last time I literally tested cause I felt weird and didn't expect anything and got bfp. I used cheapy bargain basement ones, so have just got some frer. It's impossible to try and wait 72hrs 😂 keep me sane!

dragonmummy17 · 29/04/2018 13:36

@HappyClappyDinosaur the nursery bugs are driving me insane. He's been going 4 months and we haven't had 2 illness free weeks since he started. He's just got over chicken pox and now I am suspecting hand foot and mouth!!

Good luck everyone waiting for a bfp. I am now on the 2ww

HappyClappyDinosaur · 30/04/2018 19:56

Fingers crossed for you dragonmummy! I'm being good and waiting to poas til tomorrow ⏳

dragonmummy17 · 01/05/2018 07:38

Good luck dinosaur

makingapplecrumble00 · 01/05/2018 15:51

Urghh I'm out again this month. I was so convienced this was THE month too (even though I am obviously not going crazy and not symptom spotting at every turn!). Just read the 'magic numbers age gap'post on the MN front page and it made me cry. So want baby number two but DH is adamant we're not having more than a two year gap so on those rules we have one month left. In need of some hand holding today or some good reasons why a >2 year gap is perfectly fine to convienced the hubby to keep going...

HidCat · 01/05/2018 18:57

@makingapplecrumble00 I always wanted a 3 yr age gap and we're going to end up with 6! Not ideal 🤦🏼‍♀️ just try to point out that if you had three kids then the oldest - youngest would be a bigger age gap and it's usually fine, plus as they get older they're usually more helpful with the baby and possibly less jealous. Only one size of nappies to buy at once, eldest will be starting preschool so less childcare costs. I'm sure there are more reasons!

ImMrsBrightside · 09/05/2018 19:56

Hi all!

Any good news from anyone?

I have just realised that its my fertile week and we have DTD twice already! Now decided to keep at it even though I said I wasn't going to actively "try" anymore! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hope everyone is well!
