Hoping to find some ladies in a similar situation to either help keep the crazy at bay... or provide company to safely let it out! Grin

DH and I had planned to wait until May-ish to start trying for #2. Our DD is 15.5 months and we are due to complete on our new house next month so wanted to wait. I am still BF but only a couple of times a day. Periods returned at 8 months and have been every 29-33 days since. Downloaded the sodding Ovia app last month, "just to start monitoring my cycles"... instead I am already devoting an unhealthy amount of time to staring at it and subsequently became fixated about DTD on my ovulation day (usually around CD18-20). Successfully managed to seduce DH during DD’s nap this weekend on CD18 and am now descending into madness checking CM and wondering about every minor twinge! Blush

So I guess we are now officially TTC! The madness, upset and hoping begins again!

Please tell me there are some of you in the same boat?!

Anyone else see a faint second line or have I gone crazy completely?!

Shock defo a faint line there Cherry!!

CherryO88 · 12/04/2018 15:14

I was adamant I wasn’t going to test until Sunday at the earliest. Went to get DH up from her nap and couldn’t resist. I am fairly sure there’s a line. In total shock and scared to believe it. Going to boots now to buy more tests!!!

GrinGrinGrin keep us updated!!

Tinks177 · 12/04/2018 15:33

I definitely see a line too Cherry! Fingers crossed for you.

Whilst we're not actively trying yet I have been tracking cycles and I'm almost a week late. I had a bit of spotting a few days ago but that's it. Have had periods back for 9 months now post-baby #1 and I have always been pretty regular. On CD35 now and had EWCM on three different occasions. No idea what's going on but its not making me confident about TTC when we start.

Naschkatze · 12/04/2018 19:16

Fingers crossed for you Cherry.

Congratulations Fifi, that’s so exciting!!

CD 27 here. No idea when to expect AF so I’m not going to test for a while. Certainly don’t feel pregnant and it’s pretty unlikely since I’ve no idea if/when I ovulated and we only managed to DTD a few times the whole month.

If we were to be lucky and actually start TTC properly next month that would mean DS would be 2 by the potential due date which I feel more comfortable with. 2 under 2 fills me with fear since I’ve had one, before DS I wanted loads of children all close in age. Even thought twins would be fun Grin

Fififiesta · 12/04/2018 20:40

Cherry there might just be something there, when is AF due? Test again in the morning!

Thank you for your congratulations Nasch.

I am still to scared and worried to move out of this thread...Confused Sad Hope you all get BFPs soon so we can graduate together

CherryO88 · 12/04/2018 21:40

I’m on CD39! So well over a week ‘late’ but I’m fairly sure I ovulated last week. So would still be very early days. DH agreed there’s a line and he is a real skeptic. Going to test again with FMU and pray so hard I get another line!

Naschkatze · 13/04/2018 19:26

Cherry Anything? I’m totally over invested in everyone else’s lines!

CherryO88 · 13/04/2018 20:13

Woke up at 3.30 this morning busting for the toilet so tested then and again faint line with FRER. Woke DH up to confirm and he saw it also. Been checking the tests all day and the 2 lines are still there....been nauseous today with very slight cramps. Main symptom (if I’m even pg) is that I’ve been so breathless, even lifting DD has knackered me. Have more tests arriving tomorrow from amazon so will have another go. I have 2 digital but I’m trying hard not to waste as far too early for them to work!

Naschkatze · 13/04/2018 21:23

That’s great news!! Will keep my fingers crossed for stronger lines for you.

CherryO88 · 14/04/2018 14:05

So this just happened...beyond shocked and elated! Can’t believe I managed to catch the egg Grin

8DaysAWeek · 14/04/2018 16:19

Ignore the biscuit! Although you may be like me and love a biscuit or 7 Grin

CherryO88 · 14/04/2018 16:28

Thank you hidcat and 8days. Still in disbelief but very happy.
I’ll take the biscuit happily Grin

Kintan · 14/04/2018 19:27

Congrats CherryO88 and Fifi how lovely.
Sorry to read your news Kurly :(
My last TWW ended in the heaviest period I've ever had, so just waiting for next fertile week now. I've got blood tests for this month - had the day 3 ones taken last week, and am having the 21 day ones later this month. This month will be month 8 of trying and I just want to know one way or the other if I am likely to get pregnant again..
Have a great weekend everyone!

Fififiesta · 14/04/2018 21:09

Yay Cherry!!!!

8DaysAWeek · 14/04/2018 23:36

Just lying in bed thinking back to 2.5 years ago when I was able to turn round to my husband, give him a look and get down to love makin'!

Nowadays it doesn't matter if you are in your fertile week with ewcm and ready to jump your partner, if your toddler decides he's sleeping in your arms for the night, he's sleeping in your arms for the night!!

I love you son but if you could spend 20 mins or so in your own bed that'd be great.

makingapplecrumble00 · 18/04/2018 22:31

Hi all. Can I join you please. I so could have written all of the posts above. Have promised hubby I'm not going to go crazy this time, made it to cycle 8/9 (not really sure when we started properly) and I've finally cracked.

@8DaysAWeek I'm so with you on the toddler sleep thing. Mine had chicken pox at the crucial moment last week :-( So I think we're probably out this month again (although still hoping for a miracle...)

8DaysAWeek · 19/04/2018 12:18

Welcome to the madness @makingapplecrumble00 ! Hope your little one is all better now. We bought DS a Thomas train set which he is obsessed with and has allowed us 10 minutes in the evening to do the necessary 😂

I finally got a PROPER positive opk today! I've dipped literally hundreds of these little sticks in the past 7 months and all I've gotten close to is possibly the same darkness as the control line. Today that test line was defo darker, yay!

Although I'm a bit confused cos my temps have been high the last two days. First month temping so I hope it'll all sort itself out and make sense in the next couple of weeks.

ImMrsBrightside · 19/04/2018 15:27

Hi all! I am here! I have been so caught up with moving and decorating and buying things for the new place I must admit I haven;t given much thought to TTC!

Massive congrats Cherry! Great to see some more BFPs!

Glad you have been saved by Thomas Days Grin

I have decided I will keep on as I am but am not actively going to try for a bit. I seem to have lost my initial obsession and I now just want to settle in and enjoy our new house! I booked a cleaner today which I am most excited about - never had one before! Obviously if it happens great, but I am feeling quite happy with my lot right now. (Aware this may change when AF inevitably arrives next week! Blush)

8DaysAWeek · 19/04/2018 15:36

Oooh a cleaner MrsBrightside! I'd be excited over that too haha.

I'm liking your attitude Smile hope all is going well with the move and it's starting to feel like home!

makingapplecrumble00 · 19/04/2018 22:21

Love my cleaner. I don't know how she gets so much done in two hours a week! I don't care if all my salary goes on childcare + cleaner, it's worth it!

I have never been down the temping route. What do people think, is it worth the effort? It took us nearly 2 years with #1 so not holding my breath for #2 given the lack of time to commit to DTD (did feel a bit queazy today though... must be the heat)

ImMrsBrightside · 23/04/2018 14:54

I'm a dick.

Started spotting this morning, two days before AF is due. Weird light pink, stringy EWCM spotting. Of course, despite my not really caring about TTC anymore last week, I convinced myself that this was A Sign. Have spent the morning on knicker watch and running back and forth to loos at work 'just to check'.

My most recent visit has confirmed that I am ridiculous. Of course its my period.

To caveat: I had an implantation bleed when I got PG with DD (actually thought it was my period and only tested two weeks later when my boobs were so sore they woke me up at night) so perhaps I am not entirely ridiculous. But I am still a dick.
